After a dominant run in 2025, Pakistan enter the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 with renewed confidence and a more settled combination. The batting unit looks deeper and more aggressive, with Sahibzada Farhan emerging as a key top-order option, providing intent and stability at the start. Support from a flexible middle order gives Pakistan the ability to adapt to different match situations and conditions.

Bowling remains Pakistan’s biggest weapon. Alongside the proven pace attack, Abrar Ahmed adds a genuine wicket-taking threat in the middle overs, giving the side greater control and variety. His ability to break partnerships could prove crucial on slower surfaces, especially in knockout games.

Consistency will ultimately define Pakistan’s campaign. If the team sustains its 2025 form and handles pressure moments better, a semi-final berth appears well within reach, with the potential to push for a place in the final should key players peak at the right time.

I will wait for the squad announcement and the Australian series
I can give you the squad right now.

1. Saim
2. Sahibzada
3. Babar
4. Agha
5. Usman
6. Fakhar
7. Shadab
8. Shaheen
9. Nawaz
10. Rauf
11. Abrar
12. Naseem
13. Faheem
14.Nafay
15.Tariq

1,2 changes could be based on fitness.

Usman Khan
Faheem
Shadab

These 3 cant be batting in top 6. You are going to loose 7/10 games with this combination.

Pakistan still hasn’t found a proper solution to its wicketkeeper problem. Nafay and Farhan are not regular wicketkeepers, and Haris has wasted almost every opportunity he’s been given. Unless a genuinely solid keeper-batter emerges from domestic cricket or the PSL which frankly seems unlikely . Pakistan will always be one batter short in the XI. On top of that, players like Shadab and Faheem being pushed as batters only compounds the problem and turns an already weak batting unit into a bigger disaster.

Where is salman mirza he's our best seamer in t20

Semi final maybe depends on wickets if sluggish we might scrape few wins if flat tracks then we are done as we don't have firepower to out score the othet teams just hope they include hasan nawaz

Read a reliable source saying Hassan isn’t in the final 15-18

Abdul Samad is though

Makes no sense if samad is preferred over hassan why did they not play samad him in Sri Lanka matches

Pakistan have a huge advantage to play all their matches at the same venues. They should qualify for SF. From a purely sporting viewpoint, it’s unfair for 1 team to know where they will play all their matches beforehand. Obviously there is an agreement behind this and other boards have agreed but hopefully these special treatments can end soon for everybody.

Advantage does not matter for this team.. They had the advantage many times but they never performed accordingly... We won in England, where there is no advantage... Reality is, this team is minnow-level.

I think we have good bowling options for the conditions and batsmen will acclimatise well. Already playing there. Other teams will be potentially travelling a lot while Pak will sit and know the conditions beforehand. Helps with squad selections too.
