I asked this question in another thread, but it probably deserves a thread of its own.

Amir on his rediscovered form and Babar to bat at 4.
Babar at 4.
Amir is not needed. We have a better bowling unit. Read it carefully. Not better bowlers but bowling unit. We have a winning formula of bowlers and won't change it for somebody who clicks once in 20 matches.
Only Babar Azam and even that is not a surety
You are right. Amir clicks only in England. Places where he doesn't get purchase he is ineffective.

PPers don't appreciate Hafeez much. Over the last few years, whenever Pakistan has won a big match - test or ODI - I saw Hafeez's performance as crucial to winning the match.
On current form:
1) Rohit Sharma
2) Shikkar Dhawan
3) Virat Kohli
4) Babar Azam
5) Mohammad Hafeez
6) MS Dhoni(Wk)
7) Hardik Pandya
8) Mohammad Amir
9) Bhuvneswhar Kumar/Kuldeep Yadav
10) Yuzvendra Chahal
11) Jasprit Bumrah
None.
Someone is not liking Babar name being mentioned throughout the thread.
India isn't going to want homeless man's Hashim Amla in their team.
Amla was a very good batsman and has won many matches for SA. Love to have Amla at his peak playing for Pak.None.
If you reverse the question how many Indian would make into Pak team then for me only kohli, rohit, shikar and bumrah would make into Pak team. I'm happy to give likes of Afridi and uisnain longer run plus haris raid, shonwari etc. We also have plenty of good spinners rotting away in domestic but not given opportunities. Shadab is also very good and very young. Useful bat too.
Babar bats too slow and timid under pressure for our number 4. Only Amir would make it now.As it stands now Babar for Rahul, Amir for injured Bhuvi,
Interesting no one mentioned Shaheen, he's like 6 foot 4 inches and was Pakistan's best bowler in all formats before the world cup. I definately think he would be an upgrade on Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Wahaab riaz under kohli captaincy
Kohli brings the best out of fast bowlers ... uses them correctly
Except the four Indian players I mentioned the rest are bang average as well, with Dhoni retiring soon. Difference is Indian board and management know how to build their skills, and selections are on merit and form not due to favouritism. Pakistani players have confidence issue and lack of international exposure for youngsters means they melt under pressure.Unless you guys start to be realistic in hyping your players, day by day it'll become desperate for you guys. For few days, I don't see some regular posters here, which is unfortunate and they themselves are only to blame for digging hole. Try to learn the game and be realistic - and don't over sell bang average players.

Mohammad Hafeez???!!!! You sure do have a sense of humor.
Babar Azam is too meek and robotic, and would rather play cute shots than accelerate or hit out as needed by the match situation.
Indian bowling unit doing well as it is to think of adding Amir.
However, if there is one person in the Pakistan line up who could merit any consideration for inclusion in the Indian side, that can only be Amir.
Jhadhav had scored 120 runs against the No 1 team and successfully chased 350 plus core even outpacing Kohli. Plus he bowls too. And has better average, strike rate and nerves of steel that Hafeez.Who and what has India's Number 5 done in recent past? You have a very good sense of humour to not consider that.
Mohammad Hafeez has scored more runs than most of the Indian batsmen at the World Cup, with a man of the match performance to his name against the Number 1 team. Which Indian has that?

I think that was in India, he hasn't done much at this World Cup or CT 2017. Actually, I have never seen him play a match winning innings except for the one you mentioned.
Though, everyone can have their own opinion and he might be better than Mohammad Hafeez.
