Just got rolled over by a team of 20-22 year olds with just a handful of FC games between them in the warm-up. How will we cope with Joshy Hazlewood exactly? This guy will eat our team alive.

Looks like NZ applied the seasoning and marination and Aussies will now grill us.

Now I know what it feels like being Australia and touring in Asia.

Starc will be manhandled by us, trust me.

It's Hazlewood who's going to be the real issue for our bats. Not sure how they'll counter him.

But I guess Starc's dhulai will make things easier. :usman

Notwithstanding the OP's wrist slitting, I do agree with this point. It will be Hazelwood who will cause more damage. Pakistan dont really get all that unnerved be excess pace, its the mcgrath line which bothers them

Yes, and who should have been bowling that line, that length from that height and that angle for the last 4 weeks in the nets in Christchurch, Hamilton and Cairns?

Oh yes, I remember.

Oh yes.

A fantasy bowler who has broken down twice in first class cricket and last played a competitive match 6 years ago.

Wonderful thought.

We've been ill-prepared for this tour since we landed in NZ, which in itself was pathetic.

Exactly my concern. He can nip it around just a bit too, that subtle movement at good length and line consistently will trouble our batsmen.

Imagine Shafiq against Hazlewood. :shafiq

He will be alright, now that he is coming at 6 again (a mistake for him and the team)

The idea that we won't struggle against Starc is not based on facts. His stock delivery is exactly what troubles Shafiq, Younis and to an extent, Sarfraz the most.

Having said that, Hazlewood will be an equally big threat because of him pitching the ball in the Corridor of Uncertainty not giving anything away. We should score more runs off Starc because he does give loose deliveries in between, but that does not mean that he will not trouble us.

An average bowler who seems to be taking heaps of wickets.

Please stop watching cricket if you genuinely thinks so

I guess Philander or even McGrath are average for you

To be honest, it takes time to understand his class. Initially I also thought that he looked okay but that's because I had only see him bowl in patches. It's when you watch him bowl long spell that you realize how good he is.

I think we shouldn't be too scared, i don't get why most of our fans(including the educated fans)don't think our team is up to the mark when a big tour is round the corner. Remember the England tour

As far as I have seen him, he is not special- does not possess swing or bounce. He is getting wickets because he is persistent.

Being able to bowl at the same line and length consistently is a very rare skill so it is a sign of being a special bowler. One of major weaknesses of our bowlers especially Wahab and Rahat is that they can't bowl three consecutive deliveries on the same spot and give freebies. Also asif was so effective because of his accuracy

Also he does swing the bowl with a lot of control and gets seam movement too

If Pak bowler only had his type of consistency only then Pak bowling lineup would be world beater today. Consistency in line and length is the thing which makes an ordinary bowler to ATG.

Think Pakistan bowlers will also take handful of wickets in D/N - main thing is what time they get to bowl it seems.

Like I said, we'll manhandle Starc.

He's been struggling to get through our defences.

However, Hazlewood with his clever skilled bowling has already pierced it.
