Pakistan's Upcoming Test Series Against England

Pakistan will face England in a three-Test series in Pakistan in October 2024. The matches will be played at the following venues:

1st Test: October 7-11 in Multan
2nd Test: October 15-19 in Karachi
3rd Test: October 24-28 in Rawalpindi

Pakistan's recent performance against Bangladesh at home has been poor, but they will be looking to bounce back strongly against England. The series will be an important test for Pakistan as they aim to improve their Test rankings.

England, on the other hand, will be hoping to repeat their success from the 2022 tour when they won the series 3-0. The matches are expected to be closely contested between the two teams.

I agree. Test cricket is finished. Performances at the ODI World Cup and the World T20 are what matters more.

T20s should be scrapped immediately feed the public odis & tests.. if they don’t like it lump it. These 2 formats have survived since dinosaur ages & will continue to.

Small boards like PCB, WI , SL will go broke if they abandon T20's for an extremely loss making format like Tests.

Nowadays England aren't really bazballing like they usually do. They wont bazball 600 in a day like they did last time.

Hard to be optimistic for this series.

If wickets are flat - Eng will bazball and break daily runs records

If pacy wkts are made - atkinson, wood, woakes will slice through Pak batting

If dustbowls are made - Bashir+ Hartley+ Rehan are better than Abrar + Noman combo.

Unless PCT discovers a new wasim/waqar or some batter unlocks MoYo 2006 cheatcode this is going to be an epic thrashing

Hopefully Pakistan produced bowling friendly conditions.

England will throw draw out of equation with approach and Pakistan will end up playing catching game with scoreboard pressure on flat pitches.

Bowling friendly conditions will provide better opportunity to Pakistan to compete and win the series.

Pakistan may be tempted to go with super flat runways to stop the rot and at least try and draw this upcoming series, but I think that would be a mistake. On flat pitches England will go into overdrive like they did last time.

It’s a bit of a risk and could still result in a 0-3 defeat, but in my opinion it should be bowler friendly pitches that get prepared for this one. Pakistan could potentially then win at least one of the Tests and take the series to a decider.
