Tough times for Muslims - but what options do they have as far as Ayodia is concerned?

Muslims in India need to accept the verdict and forget about Babri Masjid. Best option for them would be to fight to protect other mosques, because they are coming for them next.

Hindu terrorist will be more emboldened after this verdict and try to demolish more mosques. Protect other mosques and accept the decision.

Good point about other mosques now.

I live in hyderabad, India &'I work as .Net tech lead in a US based MNC here in hyderabad.

I have roamed around here after the verdict & things r as normal as they are.
Nothing will happen but BJP's next step is implementation of NRC in some states.

Other mosques will remain as they are & nothing will happen to them as even Indian muslims knew this fact & hence no riots or any disputes till now

no options, they have no real political representation, maybe they don't even want it. Doesn't really concern pak imo.

Muslims of my state doesn't shy away from expressing their opinion publically, judging by their reaction on social media majority of them are not showing any kind of disappointment.

There's not a lot they can do without inviting a violent response, but they should at least refuse to step foot in the new mosque which is going to be built further away from the original site. They can show that much backbone at least.

They have no backbone so nothing will happen. Indian Muslims are weak and timid. Ofcourse not including Indian Occupied Kashmiris.

Really a sad day for being a indian muslim
I expect this but i have little hope on supreme court but that hope is also dead today
nobody going to save us from this hindutva goons in feature ya allah please help our future generations every hindu has a little grudge on muslim because we(muslims)ruled india in the past

Because we indian muslims belive in democracy if the same verdict against hindus you will not going to say this word

Had verdict gone other way only then you would have seen violence and other mosques destroyed.

Verdict saved the life’s of ordinary minorities.

Correctly said
But if we muslims accept this verdict then in future they will going to destroy any masjid and going to say that this is hanumanjis jungle in the past and we need this place to vacant

Indian muslims can't do much by this disgraceful sequence of events by the kangaroo court as they're overpowered by sheer numbers.

However, they should refuse the plot of land given as a mere token. It seems you're free to roam around and destroy other faiths places of worship and then be rewarded for it.

Unless and until Indian Muslims or collectively minorities find a leader who would stand up against bigoted and racially driven government and majority then minority can’t do much.

As other poster said, never enter the mosque they a might build in newly allotted land. I believe that is the best kind of protest.

And they certainly can destroy more mosque but they won’t, yet.

We are not beggars we are rulers we will never accept that land allah har cheez dekh raha ek din allah zaroor insaaf karega babri masjid ke haq mein shahid hone walo hum musalman sharminda hai aapke khoon ko hamne zaya kar diya ho sake toh hume maaf karna

You see the rest of us Indians as your enemies?

You see the rest of us Indians as your enemies?

After the Hindu zealots destroyed the Babri Masjid, they went onto massacre scores of innocent Muslims so I can't see them seeing them as the best of buddies, can you?

Everyone has to accept the verdict.

Ofcourse the otherside can file a review petition.

There are two more contentious mosques at very holy hindu sites. Kashi and Mathura. Cases will be fought for those two as well. Dont think anyone is interested in any other mosque.

Most every mosque will be found to be built on Hindu temple sites in due time. Babri masjid and the two you mentioned are just openers to test the water. Once the Hindu hardliners see they have gained traction, they can look to expand the initiative.

That cannot happen.

The basis of the Ayodhya verdict is that Birth place of Ram is holy to hindus, and hence their right to worship their holds primacy.

Now Babri Masjid hold no such significance for muslims, it was just another mosque like 1000 others. Just like there were 1000s of temples in ancient india.

Kashi and Mathura are similarly holy.

Not all mosques are same, neither are all temples.

The basis of the Ayodhya verdict that mosque was built on birth place of Ram is disputed, and only recently was debunked, and in fact there was a thread here about it. India is quite an immature country, one of the first acts of Modi when he took power was to destroy thousands of historical documents which provided historical reference. He is born from RSS movement which will put Hindu interests above accuracy.

I am sorry, but I cannot accept verdicts coming out of India at present.

Although most Indian Muslims are "toeing the line" in fear of backlash and violence, it is ultimately their fight, not ours. The only time we should care is whenever a decision on Kashmir is made. We Pakistanis claim Kashmir, not Uttar Pradesh.

Just the way they are doing right now.
They're are all happy that this is finally done with and everyone can move on now.

1. Debunked? By whom? Disputes are adjudicated by courts.

2. Modi destroyed which documents? This case and its evidence has been in the courts for decades before Modi came to power.

3. I dont think this verdict is affecting anyone outside India, nor it is meant to be. Indians fought the case in a Indian court. So its Indians who have to accept it.

Bhai forget Indian muslims even whole subcontinent muslims never ruled India. Those were invaders. You are bhartiya.
If tomorrow I changed my religion to Muslim, cud I say that we ruled India. I dnt think so.
Secondly I suspect you are Indian Muslim.
Third even if you are, you should be happy that finally dispute is over and you know it very well, this land had not much significance for you guys but this land has been like mecca madina for hindus.

Then dnt accept so. Who told you to accept. After every weekend gets over I also never accept that it's Monday . But it never changed or became significant for some other.
Everything is peaceful. I have been living in lucknow since last 1 year. Ayodhya is hardly 120 km approx from here

If you don't accept Mondays come after weekends, this just shows that I am correct not to take stuff coming out of India at face value. Emotions override evidence when Hindutva fervour is the driving factor.

I said I dnt accept so does it change the fact? Facts remains the same. It won't be changed whatever madrasa education teaches. So if you dnt accept certain things , it's nobody else problem.

Dnt think hindus would have accepted much. I am not sure. But thing is this land has much much significance for hindus than for the muslims. For muslims it was just another mosque.
I am sure with in 5 acres, one of the world's largest or famous mosque cud be built. And hindus wud help and may come to pray also. t

We are not interested in 5 acres,it's not just about land and the reason why we are fighting because if we lose then you will claim more temples that were taken.

Rome started with one city, they conquered territory and assimilated the people they conquered into their civilization. Even today most Western Europeans view it as a golden age.

Same thing with the the invaders to the subcontinent. They did not bring women with them, they intermarried with the locals, and sent missionaries to convert people. These people eventually created their own subcontinent Muslim civilization. There is no difference between them. A person in Lahore with the surname Bhatti (Rajput) and Bukhari (Turk) will have the exact same culture.

By viewing Muslim empires as foreign, you give moral justification to destroy their heritage and feign outrage when we get upset.

Oh bhai. By Where do you guys bring such new trash every day . There is nothing to be ashamed of your ancestral roots. Fact is whole subcontinent muslims never ruled india. They are just us. Bhatti rajput and Indian rajput certainly has 99 percent common than 1 percent bukhari (turk) , except religion.

Lol why would anyone keep their maternal surname. Those Bhattis you're referring to are direct converts either under duress or not. They just decided to keep their Hindu surname even after conversion. It's the same with Chowdharies, Jatts, Gujjars etc.

And lol at having more in common with the Turks. There is no shame in accepting your ancestral roots.

Thank you! A lot of people always bring up race and the fact that Pakistanis are descended from Hindus and Buddhists(not that it's bad) as if it makes us less Muslim compared to Arabs.

I'm glad you brought up Rome, the Romans considered the Germans as barbarians and it was the Eastern German Vandals who put an end to the Roman Empire through raids(hence the word 'Vandalize'). Today, however, the Germans take huge pride in the history of Rome just like a Scandinavian or a Brit does even though their ancestors most likely fought against the Romans.

Dnt think so. I am currently living in lucknow and you know that lucknow ihas quite good Muslim population. Everything is peaceful. Ayodhya is not far from lucknow.
Second I dnt think it wud be easy to claim more lands or many would be interested. I have heard about this ayodhya ram mandir dispute since childhood .Dnt believe in rumours or social media trash.

No problem with Pakistanis identifying themselves as "as Islamic as Arabs "

But when they start false bragging about their supposed rule over India and Hindus in particular for thousand years , which is wrong on so many levels , they must be corrected.

But it's not false, is it? Pashtuns have ruled over parts of Northern India since the 10th century.

See one thing I and even cricketjoshila would agree that mosque demolition was wrong by goons. It's not acceptable in any civilized world. So I have hopes that such incident won't be repeated by any means. Second kashi Or mathura is holy but dnt think many would consider this seriously. At most some one will file petition in court. And you know about justice system. It might take another 200 years when religion won't be mattered anyways.

I was talking about Muslim Rajputs not Hindu ones. There culture is the same as the Muslims who in the male line are descendant from Turks, Afghans. Same goes if your male line ancestors were Brahmins or Dalits who converted to Islam, they have the same culture.

No one is ashamed of their ancestral roots. The problem is where Muslim and Hindu culture diverges, you view that as hatred of your heritage. Over the last 1,000 years Muslims culture in the subcontinent have added many elements from Persian and Central Asian culture into their culture. We do not want to give this up.

An example would be of names. We do not name our sons Deepak, or Gaurav, or Abhinandan, not because we hate our heritage, but because in the last 1,000 years our culture has been to use Arabic, or Persian names. 1,000 years is a long time, Muslims and Hindus have culturally diverged over the years and there is nothing wrong with that.

Hindu nationalist accepting that Muslims of the subcontinent have their own culture can do alot to improve relations.

Pakistanis don't identify as Arabs, and very few have Arab surnames. The biggest "foreign" descent claimed is Pathan (who were historically referred to as Afghans).

Why is it surprising that there are so many people of pathan descent in the subcontinent? the current Pak PM is one of them. He is one of the millions of non Pashto speaking Pathans. Same way as the Khans of Bollywood. Why should people of pathan descent not be proud of their heritage, same way that Rajput, or Marthas are ?

I was referring to people of Turkic descent, aka the Central Asians who settled in the subcontinent and married locals. Not Turks from Central Asia or Turks from Turkey.

In the male line the Shai Imam of Delhi is a Turk. His culture would be the same as a Muslim of Rajput descent who lives in Delhi.

So the ultimate point is that Muslims who in the male line came from Central Asia, Afghanistan, etc have the same culture as Muslims who in the male line are descendant from Rajputs or Brahmins.

It happened today so the likes of cricketjoshila and on twitter, people on Icf started talking about Mathura,Kashi.

I am talking about the three places that are disputed. One of them have been solved.

The other two are governed by places of worship act. That means their status cannot be changed unless by court or parliament. Tbh Mathura is more or less decided too. Its Kashi that actually is contentious.

Can there be anything other than a mosque at mecca medina or at Al Aqsa? Similarly the birth place of lord ram.

If hindus wsnted to take this by force, 1947 was the first opportunity. Muslims of SC demanded a country, got it, hindus could have demanded their temples.

This country is for 130cr people.

Why the likes of cricketjoshila are saying about Mathura,Kashi?

I am saying that only 3 places are actually disputed that hindus can claim on basis of the facts of Ayodhya.

I am not saying that it will be done.

There was a significant Hindu population in both Lahore and Karachi. In fact they have a rich history and presence since vedic culture.I am not even talking about the smaller towns. Can someone tell me how many temples are left there? If someone can provide the pre and post partition stats of temples, I am willing to sit all day and take moral and secular lectures.

The beauty of Indian democracy and secularism is that the claim for one of the most important religious structures for the majority community had to go through the supreme court.

People were indecisive for so many years to even think what would happen if this matter was pushed ahead.

Kudos to the current government to end this matter for once and for all.

Also disputing structures, isn't that against the principles of islam to not have attachment to man made idols/structures?

Would have been great had they just given Hindus as a gesture of peace. I have heard a lot of well educated folk say the same. However like always it was the Muslim politicians and admins who made it a bigger issue.

In the end win-win for all

Dont have stats on Lahore and Karachi, however Pakistani government is trying to make amends from mistakes made in the past. They just renovated this year a 1,000 year Mandir in Sialkot (Shivala Teja Singh Mandir), and they are planning on renovating about 400 historic Mandirs in Pakistan.

From what I read Muslims were willing to hand it over to them, but they wanted assurances that no other Mosque would be destroyed. If this is the only one I dont think anyone would have a problem.

The act of demolishing the Babri Masjid was wrong and everyone acknowledges that. How can you give assurances like that? I mean can government give guaranteed assurances that there will be no murders or rapes? it is a law and order issue and it goes without saying that no structure should be demolished.

Most Indian muslims are not rabid when it comes to religion. They are religious but they think of putting their families first and working hard to make a living and improve their lives just like any common Hindu or christian. It is only the politicians and few vested interests that benefit from such attention.

Why the likes of cricketjoshila are saying about Mathura,Kashi?

Because they are the holiest of hindu pilgrimage sites. More appropriate question is why are you fighting for the mosques to remain as is when it is clear that these mosques were built by demolishing temples which was a well known practice in those days ?

That matter was decided by court so no need to drag demolishing temples.

the reason i said indian muslims should move on is because the groundwork to oppose this had to have been political, and its too late now, but as you say, if you do not accept this verdict, what is it you believe indian muslims should do to protect their important places and culture from being wiped out by hindu extremists?

same question to andy0204 who i am guessing it also indian muslim.

That matter was decided by court so no need to drag demolishing temples.

Why not?

See muslim invaders changed the status of places of religious significance where ever they went. At many places when the natives got back the land, they reverted those places to original status.

As of now but not in future.

Except kashi( that too there is a very little chance as a temple exists for 250yrs at the adjacent spot) i dont see any issue.

I hope hindus and muslims get together to build this temple and mosque.

As per Islamic law No mosque can be built in place of a temple.

This is obviously not true. Atleast in practice. There is such a long precedence going all the way back to origins of Islam corroborated by hard evidence ( eg Ayodhya ).

Are you denying this fact ?

When Babari Mosque destroyed, then 40 Mandirs were burnt in Pakistan. And Hindus of Pakistan and India were unable to stop the Muslim mobs from doing it.

Now the table has been turned.

Now Hindus in India have already successfully destroyed the any fighting or resisting spirit of Indian Muslims (just like Pakistani Muslims destroyed any resisting or fighting spirit of the Pakistani Hindus).
