We've been a dominant T20 force since the days of 2006 and easily a team with history although we have had some dips up until now. Embarrassing group stage exits in 2014 and 2016 were a frustrating with 2016 being the worst one since we were unprofessional and relied on just winging for a world cup win without consistency and hard work.

Since Sarfraz has taken over I usually see him to be more successful in shorter formats of the game in small bursts, that's why I felt the 2017 CT was suited for him due to the smaller number of matches as compared to the 2019 WC which was much longer and required longer hours of concentration; he's not suited to Test captaincy at all. We've been such a dominant team in T20s for quite some time now but we should be mentioning how we have been bashing minnow teams mainly but we have had success against top T20 teams too.

How well do you guys see us playing in the 2020 T20 WC in Aus? We've got a tough group with West Indies, Australia and New Zealand already qualified.

I think we are definitely capable of going all the way!

as long as we keep akmal brothers, malik and hassan ali, we have a chance.. SSA should not be playing the T20z, period.. he needs to be taken care of .. dont mind Aamir playing.. he isnt going to make it in the test team now anyways .. wahab, well can be rested and played in tests until we get some young guns sorted.

Harris Rauf is a must and so shld Hussian be... go with their pace and aamir and throw in Aamir Yamin as an allrounder ...

Pakistan are arguably favourites to win the tournament. Personally don't feel too confident. I think other teams have more explosive T20 batsmen.

It depends on what the playing XI is.

If right players are played , Pakistan has the potential to lift the Cup.

A lot depends on the format.

There is a Super 12 with 2 groups.

Pak’s group has NZ, Aus, WI and 2 qualifiers.
Two teams qualify from each group.

I think Pak would be favourites from this group to qualify for semis.

I think a pretty good chance. After all this is the only format where Safaraz’s captaincy excels.

I have not seen such a dangerous Pak side since the 1999 WC, I think we need to start prioritising main players that can help us decimate teams for fun. The way England maintained their ODI ranking, working hard for 4 years after the 2015 WC and winning the 2019 WC shows how deserving they are. I do feel Pakistan rightfully represents a dominating figure in T20s and should look to go all the way to lift the trophy.

Pakistan’s so-called success in T20 cricket since September 2016 has been a drama. The reason why we looked good was because we didn’t play India (who would beat us to a pulp) and didn’t play England between September 2016 and May 2019.

In between, we took advantage of a lot of weak teams and had very few impressive outings against genuine opposition. Anyway, all the fake aura has been squashed already thanks to the successive series defeats in South Africa and England in 2019.

The actual T20 ranking, based on the full-strength teams, is almost identical to the ODI ranking. England and India are the two best sides, followed by New Zealand/Australia, and then comes the likes of Bangladesh, South Africa and Pakistan, followed by Sri Lanka and West Indies.

In other words, Pakistan will only be in contention of winning the World T20 if the likes of England, India, Australia and New Zealand perform well below their capability.

I think Pakistan should do well depends on team selection and using the right combonations for each match. The group Pakistan is placed in is not an easy one and Pakistan will have to do well from the start. They play 5 matches in their groups so they need to play solid every game and try to make minimal mistakes

Tournament is in Australia as well so i hope our batsman can adjust and try to do well in those conditions

I think Pakistan will win it to be honest. They have a really good chance.

West Indies is the best t-20 side in the world. bilateral means nothing. My top 4 predictions are
West Indies
England
Australia
Newzealand/India

Very slim chance of Pakistan making in to semis

Pakistan are the favourites of course. No.1 T20 team in the world and it is being held in Australia , the venue of '92 world cup.

It was also the venue of the 2015 World Cup which Australia won.

Australia at home is a different gravy, They will win the T20 World Cup in my opinion.

if we keep the trio in the team than goodbye to another cup. Remember last time we kept afridi believing he is going to win us but what happened.

the biggest problem with Pakistan is we keep the old horses in team so they perform in theses big games but fail to understand that it's team work that leads to victory.

these older player don't fit in teamwork scenario. you don't need to select a player just because you have a big name.

its time to try someone new there's ample time. any new player needs time to get into his groove. we must now give every opportunity to new player not just a replacement for sarfarz but also to hussnain Shaheen any any one we want to be part of our future team. so by the time the WC T20 take place we have assessed them well and they had enough experience to take the field in big events.

and as a backup you will still have older player's. its a win win situation.

T20 rankings don't mean much.

We're an average side, with the likes of Malik (& Sarfraz) in the team. Who have no place in the side.

Can we drop Malik? Dunno.

But need to select proper spinners to succeed in the cup. Darting won't work.

the only chance for pak to win is if Nz, Eng, WI, Aus, Ind, Bang, Afg, Nepal,Nimibia, Netherlands, Oman,Qatar, Burmuda, SA, USA all boycott the tournament. even in that scenario, if India pick Ashok Dinda, then its all over for pakistan bcz even Javed Miandad, Saeed Anwar, Aamir Sohail, Inzamam cannot play the sizzler ASHOK DINDA and worse would be if they pick Vankapathi Raju.. then we are soo doomed. we will need a miracle to touch the ball coming from Ashok Dinda who is miles better than Imran, Wasim, Waqar and Fazal Mehmood.. poor pakistan...
