Just wondering if anyone knows the best way to get mobile Internet and phone services in Pakistan if your travelling in from abroad. I know things have changed since 2015..any advice?

Step 1 - Buy a sim card
Step 2 - Put it in your phone
Step 3 - Use

Get a sim from any franchise (avoid shops as you'll have to put thumb/finger for verification). If you dont own a CNIC, take someone you know to get it for you. Put it in phone and enjoy phone and internet packages. Every company offers different onces so ask the operator or check their website for details and activation methods. I am currently using one with 3GB 4G monthly internet at 300Rs (3$ approx), works good for most of phone tasks.

Also, you can get a 4G device + SIM to broadcast internet for your laptop + mobile.

Get a sim card

Turn on 3G/4G package

Use it

sorry I should have clarified the post but wrote it in a hurry..I have heard they have gotten strict with biometrics etc so was wondering how strict? I saw a ufone supercard which looks pretty good..what are the best networks and bang for your buck at the moment? last time I came Jazz was pretty good and the usual suspects like mobilink but Im tempted by the ufone supercard..

Was out there last month, you will need an ID card and finger print scanned to get a simcard registered, i then paid about 900 rupees for a weeks worth of data and minutes on the Zong network, also had to put in the APN settings to get it all to work.

Zong 4G internet is the fastest, has the best coverage.
Take your Nadra card or Nicop to any Zong franchise( same for others) or any mobile/ stationary shop with biometrics machine then they will give you a sim.

I moved from Ufone to Zong. Ufone is still stuck with 3G while Zong is handing 4G to selected areas. Zong also offers more value for money as I wasn't able to find 3$ monthly package anywhere else.

CNIC/NICOP + Real thumb and franchise would do it. There are shops also having that but I wont recommend you using them unless franchise is far away from your place.

Yes people are using it for PC browsing.

Ignore APN, Franchise will configure your device when handing you that.

Im literally a few mins walk from F10 markaz so finding a decent franchise shouldnt be a problem. But the data and packages seem like good value for money. Last time I went it was rubbish but that was a few years ago.

Acha tu which one shall I get? I need internet, whatsapp etc and some minutes..this Zong wala seems the one to get at the moment..
