How to get tickets for World Cup 2019

Someone I know has tickets for Pakv Afg - they've not had any email or received the tickets yet.
I received a mail from Icc that they won’t send out tickets anymore as it’s too late now.... I can collect them at the venue.

FYI: had purchased tickets more than 7 weeks ago

They needed a stadium that could hold 100,000 people for the pak v ind match. Not liking the lack of tickets, and the extortionate prices.

Tickets for most of the matches have all of the sudden become available today. You get an error though every time you try to put tickets in your basket.

I don’t know if this is a glitch because most of the tickets were sold out the last time I checked but the ICC ticket website really is terrible.

Correct.. I just bagged the WI game at trent bridge. Question now is will they post the tickets to me or would I need to pick them up?

I bought tickets for Pak v WI 6 weeks ago. I still have not recieved my tickets, or recieved a dispatch email from DHL or Royal Mail. What do I do? Does anyone have a contact number for ICC ticketing?

I was on hold for a long time and ultimately they weren't very helpful. Echo what other people are saying about the ICC's organisation looking shabby this time around.

I don't see how making a call would help much, Either way you'll get in bro. Either your ticket will arrive, or just go to the box office on the day.

I did get a ticket to the pak NZ match earlier, so will see that match and pak v afghan.

Tried calling the above icc number but keeps saying, all agrnts are busy and cuts off.

Tickets for the Pak / WI should come latest Wednesday I reckon, then it's time to panic after that :))

ICC said in email people with games in first week of WC will recieve min 3 days before match. Also all tickets purchased will be dispatched by 30th May. So everyone who has purchased tickets since before should recieve them by maximum end of next week

Update. I manage to speak to ticket master after being put on hold for 45min. The lady was kind enough to call my land-line as my reception was very poor.
I booked the tickets only yesterday and she confirmed everything and said would need to collect at the box office with proof of my credit card and drivers licence.
Hope this helps.

ICC just sold one of my tickets and not the other one. What am I going to do with single ticket now

Go watch the match!

Platinum tickets are available on the ICC site. Tbf they are a bit overpriced for many people. No ticket should have been more than £50 but hopefully yours will sell nearer the day.

I am already going. I got 2 Gold tickets.

Platinum ticket is spare ticket.

Has anyone ever had any luck swapping seats at the stadium in matches they have attended previously? I have three platinum tickets for the PAK - BAN match and wondering how feasible it'll be to manage to sit together. I have two tickets together and a third purchased at a later time which is not next to the other two. Any guidance appreciated!

Ive done it a few times at the cricket ,football and boxing. Since your ticket is in the same location I would advise to sit down and then look around to see if there is a single person next to you. If you find one, just ask them to swap, perhaps buy them a samosa or something. :inzi

Alhamdulillah, my Pak v WI tickets arrived today. Thanks to all who helped with contact numbers, advice and moral support ;)

i haven't received mine yet, so most likely will pick up from box office at the ground.

ive been checking online and trent bridge website states for parking you can park at the Victoria embankment but I want to know what time it opens as I will be in Notts by 9am and don't want to be rushing around finding parking.

Guys, who's attending the WI game and what are your plans for jumma? We need to arrange something for Jammah during the innings break as I don't think we're allowed to leave the stadium once we're in. Let's plan something so we can pray together, as it's the last Jummah of Ramadan. Can't afford to miss it for a cricket match.

I phoned Trent Bridge last week and the lady I spoke to on the phone said that they provide a prayer room in the ground and that it would be open on the day of the game. Prayer room is set up in squash court 2.

We will need someone to lead the jumma. Can someone lead?

Hoping to have tickets for NZ vs Pakistan. Not a guarantee but I'll do my best to get tickets .

officially it is sold out, but resellers, gumtree and the like you will find most tickets available but at silly prices.

No need, the players have solved this problem for us mashallah!!

I got my tickets for Vs NZ and afgni match
But looking at the performance today i dont feel too good about going any more.

Never been so disappointed.

Someone should start a thread 'How to return your Pakistan cricket world cup match tickets'....

ICC media release

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup would like to apologise to any fans caught up in queues here at Trent Bridge today. We be offering a full refund to anyone who was impacted by the delays because of the high volume of ticket collections. This will happen automatically based on data from our ticket scanners along with time of ticket issue from the box office.

We are currently working with Ticket Master to resolve all outstanding issues and have put in place a number of measures to ensure fans don’t suffer this inconvenience at future games. This includes the introduction of a print at home ticket and improved distribution methods at the venues.

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Managing Director, Steve Elworthy said: “I sincerely apologise to every single fan who was affected by the queues today. It is certainly not what we want their first experience of what is already proving to be a fantastic Cricket World Cup to be.

“We have delivered over 700,000 tickets to more than 120 countries, but not all tickets were successfully delivered and as such we have seen a higher volume collecting at the venue. It is only right that we refund these fans by way of apology. The refund will happen automatically so the fans do not need to do anything.

“We are working closely with Ticket Master and our venues to implement measures to prevent this happening again. We would urge fans who haven’t yet received their tickets to go onto their Cricket World Cup account and utilize the print at home function. In addition to this we will improve the way we are distributing the tickets in venue and if necessary will provide additional support to the venue.”

Even the fans who got in should get a refund for the joke of a performance that was put out by the Pakistan team.

I've put x1 pak v nz platinum on resale on the official site, it's awaiting authorisation, so at some point today or tomorrow it will be there for anyone who might want it.

I will be going with my friends to the afghan game however, something we might win? (you never know at this rate hmm).

Why did you put it on resale? I hope it's not just because we're crap.

Not just because we're crap, although yes that's a reason. I just didn't feel like going on my own, as I was going with my friends for the Afghan game anyway. I think id enjoy my first ever match with company, and one that we could win. Today's performance was the nail in the coffin lol I'm not paying close to 100 pounds including travel to see what NZ might do to us.

I always think you're a coward if you don't go to a match just cos "we're gonna get smashed" . I went on my own to the Man United vs Man City game and despite us getting beat like we all knew would happen, it was still a great experience.

it's different for a football match where you are guaranteed 90mins. Unlike today, when your commute to the ground and back is longer than the match. Absolute joke.

Lol I don't care about us losing, after all I was on lookout for single pak ind tickets where we always seem to lose lol. But I already have platinum tickets to afghan match, and I'd rather save a £100 than see the NZ game too.

Cricket World Cup: Refunds over delays getting into Trent Bridge

Cricket fans who missed the start of the World Cup match between Pakistan and West Indies due to delays at Trent Bridge are to receive refunds.

Some spectators complained they were forced to wait more than two hours to collect paper tickets before the game.

The International Cricket Council said due to a problem delivering tickets, there had been a high volume of people collecting them at the ground.

It apologised and said refunds would be automatically issued to those affected.

BBC producer Emb Hashmi, who was attending the game, said it was "absolutely frustrating" to see queues that seemed to go on for "miles and miles" as fans from all over the world missed the start of the game they had paid to see.

Bilal Zafar said he was queuing for more than an hour and jokingly compared the scenes to the Fyre Festival, the US music event that famously descended into chaos in 2017.

Steve Elworthy, managing director of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, said: "I sincerely apologise to every single fan who was affected by the queues today.

"We have delivered over 700,000 tickets to more than 120 countries, but not all tickets were successfully delivered and as such we have seen a higher volume collecting at the venue.

"It is only right that we refund these fans by way of apology. The refund will happen automatically so the fans do not need to do anything."

The ICC said it was working with Ticketmaster to resolve outstanding issues and had put measures in place to avoid a similar situation at future World Cup games.

It added data from ticket scanners would be used to determine which spectators missed the start of play.

So refunds for those who waited for about 2 hrs to get in! They didn't miss much! It was pretty much over by then! Lucky them!

In case some didnt see this.

Why should ICC refund? Take it from PCB’s payroll!

Because fans missed like a massive chunk off the game? In which event you have been to has there been a norm where fans enter the stadium/ground/arena nearly 2 hours or so after start time ??
