Agreed that we were never top cricketing nation apart from 1996 to 1999 but we were never that worse either which we are currently , things can back to normal atleast we can go back being number 4 cricketing nationAs I have been saying for years, Pakistan is the least talented cricket nation ever and the problem is the expectations of the fans and not the performance of the players.
Pakistani fans are delusional and entitled beyond belief. They are not willing to accept that Pakistan haven’t got what it takes and never will.
They will keep blaming individuals and XYZ instead of acknowledging the bitter reality.
The “we are competitive in T20Is” drama was also going to end in tears. We are not competitive in any format and it will only get worse from here because the other top sides are far superior in all facets and the gap will only increase.
Moreover, even Afghanistan will overtake Pakistan in all formats within the next 3 years.
There are so many sports teams in the world that are mediocre and will never win the competition that they are competing in but that doesn’t stop their fans from passionately supporting them.
Pakistani fans need to do the same. Support and cheer the team and just enjoy that we play cricket because if you expect a hen to fly like a falcon, it is your problem not the hen’s.
You can select any playing XI. You select any coach. You can select any captain. The end result will be the same. Nothing will change at all because we are simply not good enough and never will be.
This is why I always say that we deserve this humiliation because we are intellectually bankrupt, have no clue and shy away from reality.
Pakistan lost home series after series from 1996 to 1999. Top teams don’t do that.Agreed that we were never top cricketing nation apart from 1996 to 1999 but we were never that worse either which we are currently , things can back to normal atleast we can go back being number 4 cricketing nation
Still we can go back to where were we right? Slighly better mid table team with the potential to give tough fights more often than not to big 3 teams, surely if India from being utter useless to become top playing cricket nation can do that then surely we can also.Pakistan lost home series after series from 1996 to 1999. Top teams don’t do that.
Even in the Imran Khan era, Pakistan was a distant number two. In short, Pakistan has never been a genuinely top team or at least not for a reasonable period of time.
We simply haven’t got what it takes and never will. Not every team or nation will be successful and it is fine, but there is no shame in supporting and cheering for an unsuccessful team.
India were never least talented and never willStill we can go back to where were we right? India were even less talented nation in cricket compare to Pak if you want instill your point on history. If such least talented nation can do that why can't we?
See the history bro right from the 70s to late 90s , India were the least talented nation in cricket so suddenly they can’t become talentedIndia were never least talented and never will
You talk about 90s,yes India were mid tier but never this mediocre you talk about
India still had Sachin,Dravid, Ganguly,Azhar,Jadeja,Kumble,Srinath
They were still a force at home ,lacked overseas due to no backing up for Srinath
With money pumped into domestics and infra, the breeding ground for cricketers is more fertile
Yes trophy drought is there, matter of time it will also end
Well then definition of talent is surely subjectiveSee the history bro right from the 70s to late 90s , India were the least talented nation in cricket so suddenly they can’t become talented
It’s all about money and interest

Indians won away test series in WI, Eng, SL and Drew in NZ, Pak and Aus in this period.See the history bro right from the 70s to late 90s , India were the least talented nation in cricket so suddenly they can’t become talented

Yup, the Janrails have ruined the country and this pathetic cricket team is a by product of that.I have said this previously that Pakistan cricket needs stability as much as the country does. Politics has to go out asap. Hire professional people that can run a business. Cricket is a business. Hire competent people and let them do the work. Constant change in governments and chaos has brought Pak cricket to its knees. Pakistan as a country is a mess and destruction and its cricket is a face of it.
Stability and competence is needed to build quality grass-root infrastructure. Need somebody with a long term vision. I predict we will be at Zimbabwe level in 10 years because of political interference. Pakistan as a country is finished unless a dramatic turn of things happen and strong governments are voted in with popular mandate and do difficult reforms.
