British Sikhs charged in UK Child grooming case

Hardly any press coverage about the Sikhs involved in the on-going Huddersfield ‘Child Sex grooming’ case in the UK.
Ironically, this is linked to the case EDL founder ‘Tommy turn-up Robinson' got jailed for reporting recently.
Tommy only targeted and mentioned the Muslims (to Suit his Anti-Muslim/Islam narrative), however looking into the case, the Main culprit (allededly) in the 'Gang' is a Sikh with 54 Sex grooming Charges against him.

He is hardly going to use the Sikh guys as some of his supporters include Sikhs and our Ind friends. There is a real problem that has obviously not been tackled with these low life losers using girls for sex but it has also been used to drive a political agenda by Yaxley Lennon.

Someone should tell Raj from Speakers Corner about this - to those who don't know he is, he's a Sikh, tommy robinson supporting islamaphobe who comes to Speakers Corner (in London) every weekend.

Many Sikhs and Hindus in the UK fully support Robinson .

Sikh's and Hindu's have historically have always been against Muslim's! Being much smaller in numbers they need to combine with others to take on the Muslim's! Funny thing is that these right wing fascists often attack Sikh's for their turbans and all! It is not as if Sikh's and Hindu's get on famously with each other rather many hate each other with venom. I personally have always disliked the Sikh's finding them the greatest hypocrites of all where as with the Hindu's what you see is what you get, I can live with that. It is time the Sikh's got over what the Mughal's did to them for goodness sake. One minute they are telling the world "we're not Muslim's" as if the Muslim's want or need them then they are marching for a Khalistan that never will be or crying "we're not Indian's" when they are that.

I think the title of this thread should be changed.

How would the OP feel if this was a thread which had 'British Muslims' rather than 'British Sikhs' charged?

In both cases, the religion of an individual is not a relevant factor in their crimes.

Regardless, we have seen threads which name and shame both groups. Notable sikh posters have always opened threads on the Moslem offenders and comment on them regularly, haven't seen them condemn this or ever post anything their group of people are responsible for.

Came here to post this.

Title is fine. Religion may not be a factor, but the communities which go and settle in a foreign country have extra responsibility in presenting their best behaviour and contribute to the society which took them in. So these communities must be highlighted if their people are seeking equal or disproportionate representation in crimes. Let them feel the shame and try to be vigilant about what their community members do.

Sorry but enough threads here about Pakistanis (by definition Muslims) being involved in this type of stuff. So this is fine.

Sikhs particularly have a 'holier than thou' attitude' when it comes to despicable crimes like 'Child Sex Grooming' and keep banging on about it being a Pakistani / Muslim only perpetrated crime, so it's only fair to highlight that it is just not Muslim perpetrators that are being brought to the courts.
Incidentally, the Sikh mentioned at the top of the list is actually a 'Baptised AMRITDHARI' which makes it even more shameful imo.
This is not an isolated case, there are many more examples that have through the courts that hardly get a mention.

Twenty men have been found guilty of being part of a grooming gang that raped and abused girls as young as 11 in Huddersfield.

The men were convicted of more than 120 offences against 15 girls.

Victims were plied with drink and drugs and then "used and abused at will" in a seven year "campaign of rape and abuse" between 2004 and 2011.

At Leeds Crown Court, the ringleader, Amere Singh Dhaliwal, 35, was jailed for life with a minimum of 18 years.

Other members of the gang were jailed for between five and 18 years.

Details of the men's convictions and sentences can only now be published after reporting restrictions on a series of trials were partially lifted.

During the three trials, jurors heard how the men - who are all British Asians and were known by nicknames such as Dracula, Beastie and Bully - preyed on young, vulnerable girls.

Jailing 16 of the men earlier this year, Judge Geoffrey Marson QC said: "The way you treated these girls defies understanding; this abuse was vile and wicked.

"As cases of sexual abuse with which the courts have to deal, this case comes top of the scale."

Ringleader Amere Singh Dhaliwal was convicted of 54 separate counts including 22 rapes involving 11 girls
As married father-of-two Dhaliwal was sentenced, the judge told him: "The extent and gravity of your offending far exceeds anything which I have previously encountered.

"Children's lives have been ruined and families profoundly affected by seeing their children, over months and years, out of control, having been groomed by you and other members of your gang."

In May, the former leader of the English Defence League Tommy Robinson was arrested for reporting on the case live on Facebook during the second of the trials.

He was jailed for contempt of court but his conviction was quashed because of a number of procedural errors. He faces a fresh hearing in relation to the alleged breach.

Monsters.

Calling them animals would be unfair on animals.

I don't believe that some of their families were not aware of what was happening and going on.

The Gang have now been Sentenced.
The 'Baptised' Sikh was actually described in Court as the 'Ringleader'.
I wonder what 'TIN POT TOMMY' will have to say about the Sikh leading a 'Muslim Grooming Gang'

Some of the media are reporting that he converted to Sikhism in 2013. Most likely he was a non practising Sikh earlier then became a practising one later. However, many far right type people now think he was a Muslim when he did these crimes then became a Sikh in 2013. Many sikhs think this too.

I would say more than just their families. eg Some of the other gangs from other towns were making money from selling the services of these girls. I'm betting every Asian taxi driver in these towns knew what was going on. As did the neighbours of the premises where it was taking place. And of course all the customers who were buying the services. I'm betting that for each and every one caught and sentenced, there were many others also involved or in the know.

As a community we need to ask ourselves some serious questions, and not just close our eyes whilst shouting 'Islamophobia!'. Because in the long run its us, and our coming generations, that will suffer in the form of increased racism, and the rise of the likes of BNP, or the even worse right wing extremist groups that are beginning to form and gather members due to vermin like these grooming gangs.

Some of these families will still not accept that they committed these crimes. These people are evil.

The ring leader was a Sikh of Indian ethnicity. Not a Pakistani Muslim, don't even think of using the terms "Asian" or "Desi" or I will give you a severe telling off.

UK continues to pay for its political correctness. These criminals should be referred to as sikhs of indian origin and not british or even asians. indians like to demean some ethnicities and lionize others. let them be shamed, if they have any shame, that is.

Yep, am starting to see why he is called an Uncle Tom. There is no reason to put the word Asian in that Tweet except to blow a dog whistle, and there are no No-Go areas. He's just playing to the Tory Islamophobe crowd here.

Anyway, glad these creeps have been put away.

As for Yaxley-Lennon, one of the white EDL blokes was convicted of similar offences. Wonder why he didn't "report" on that case?

He was born in India to a Sikh family and became a Baptised Sikh in 2013.

The group had Sikhs and Muslims in it, don't know if they were all Pakistani or Banglas/Afghans etc. What that tells me is that it is probably low educated low lifes who are probably living in areas which reflect this. That shouldn't be a surprise to anybody, generally criminals do tend to come from those sort of backgrounds. There is probably an equivalent of these people back in the countries they come from, It may well be a reflection of their societies back in the subcontinent.

So call the Pakistanis by their country of ethnicity and the Indians as well. Moreover, Muslim's and Sikh's at the same time. As the media is eager to point out the faith of Muslim's the same should be done with others as well whatever their circumstances may be . Calling them "Asian's" is what bothers me the most.

And that is a huge concern.

We have seen in the past few years that this has been happening in several towns and cities across the UK with the local community and the families of these sick individuals remaining silent.

Not just staying quiet but blaming the victims. This is a huge problem, we have on going investigation in the area and people have gone down.

Huddersfield grooming gang: Victim says there are more girls being abused

One of the victims of a grooming gang jailed for abusing 15 girls believes there are more young people yet to speak out.

Speaking anonymously to Sky News, the woman - who was abused between the ages of 13 and 18 - shared her story and urged others to "get justice for themselves".

The call comes after sixteen men were jailed for a total of 221 years as part of the grooming gang who abused 15 girls in and around Huddersfield between 2004 and 2011.

Four more men were found guilty and are waiting to be sentenced for offences such as rape and trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The victim said she became "friends" with the men at first before the abuse started.

"They used to buy you gifts, give you cigarettes, alcohol, cannabis," she said. "And then I was in a relationship with one of them, and then it's like you start getting passed around to their friends and stuff.

"Some days you're waking up and you don't even know how you've ended up in certain places.

"You can't remember what happened to you. It was just a circle."

She said she was taking drugs, getting her drinks spiked and was "constantly getting beaten up". She said it was "all a bit of a haze".

It was years before she spoke out about her ordeal.

She said she thought there were "loads of victims out there that need to come forward and get justice for themselves".

The woman said she believed abuse was still going on in Huddersfield.

"The men, they range from various ages. I think the oldest was 54 and the youngest was in his 20s," she said. "And it's like the older ones pass it down to the younger generation.

"History will just keep on repeating itself."

She added: "I hope that the results that we've got gives them to courage to come forward and speak up and get the justice they deserve."

The woman's mother told Sky News she wanted to see better awareness of grooming and how it can manifest.

"As a parent, with a 13-year-old, if you notice a change in their behaviour, any change - don't be afraid, don't be afraid to ask them why," she said.

"Don't be afraid to say to them 'look - are you being groomed?'

"Explain what it is because that is the only way we're going to stop this - we have to make them aware."

She said the victims had been "failed by all the authorities in question".

"They do need more safeguarding training, they need more awareness around it," she said. "[They need to know] not to be afraid, for them to speak out and not to be afraid of arresting somebody and saying 'look, we think this is going on'."

The convictions have spurred new debate around grooming gangs with all of the men being of south Asian heritage and predominantly Pakistani backgrounds.

Commenting on the case, Home Secretary Sajid Javid tweeted: "These sick Asian paedophiles are finally facing justice. I want to commend the bravery of the victims. For too long, they were ignored. Not on my watch. There will be no no-go areas."

Labour MP David Lammy denounced Mr Javid's remarks and replied: "Shame on you Sajidjavid. Words have consequences and your pandering to the far right increases the risk of violence against British Asians."

Local mosque leaders have since spoken out to strongly condemn the "monstrous" crimes.

The Kirklees Imams and Mosques Advisory Board said: "We are working in partnership with the police, the local authority and other bodies and groups at various levels with the twin aims of supporting vulnerable children and educating communities to report these types of crimes.

"These atrocious crimes are not rooted in any social class, culture, ethnicity, colour or religion but are the result of evil and immoral intentions of the predators."

A brilliant quote from a Sikh Woman in this video that corrects the lies that have been spread about the ringleader converting from Islam to Sikhism:

'Spread by Fools'

This is the single biggest issue which has given the likes of Yaxley Lennon the fuel to launch a career.

It has proved useful for Tommy Sir, but there was always underlying resentments for his type. The abbreviated term which equates to Pakistani illegitimate offspring was invented in the 70's, there were no terrorists or groomers back then.

I agree, if it wasnt this it would be something else, but the issues arent as emotive bar terrorism. This has thrown a suspicion on all us as the numbers involved in the abuse is disgustingly high ( not that any abuse is acceptable)

Keep deporting/jailing them with massive sentences and the numbers will dwindle soon enough and we can go back to being the relatively harmless version of PB's of the 70s.

And in the meantime whole communities are tarnished by these criminal losers.
