What's new

"I am fit and ready to take the next step up and play for Pakistan" : Hussain Talat

much better today than yesterday; should not bowl though; he is not a bowler

Can’t wait for his technique to tighten up. Will be a fantastic player.

Unfortunately because of the lack of a batting culture Talat will never be more than a mediocre batsman

Star in the making!
Just stay grounded boy, don't let success get to your head.

P.S: wont mind him playing as the batting-all rounder against England next month in tests.

Talat is a brilliant talent and will establish himself very soon in the LOI sides. Just has an X factor about him.

I'm a big of this guy, but for some reason I get the feel that he is one of those who aren't very humble or grounded.... He has a bit of Shehzad-esque arrogance about him. That isn't a bad thing per se, but it could be a bad thing if like Shehzad he starts thinking he is better than he really is. The mark of champion batsmen like Kohli is their humility and constant desire to better themselves.

Big fan of him!

However, his technique is very suspect. Unless he tightens up he won't be successful outside Asia.

Pakistan Batsman generally start well and then decline pretty quickly as the opposition work them out and then they cant adapt their game to the new field settings and mental challenges. Lets hope Talat actually has the talent and mental strength to become a decent player.

Yes, I have noted the same. He seems to have some arrogance, I dislike the way how he knocked Salahuddins bat out of his hand and ran him out. It was childish. He needs to say grounded.

Hopefully should be able to play more ODIs in the future - definitely a good future in T20

Shouldve really given him a go as pace bowling all rounder instead of Faheem. Battingis miles better and I’m sure his bowling would’ve come along under a professional setup.

This was very random. Do you even follow Pakistan cricket or do you just say random things for the sake of bumping threads. He got exposed badly last time he was in Pakistan colours and his career has been on a downward spiral since then.

The only thing random is your post here.

I follow Pakistan cricket more than you ever will and yes, he may not have done well in the past but this is a new season and he can improve and we do hope that he does improve.

As a batsman very very limited , like you make a tailender into a batsman. Doesnt have time against 135 k plus bowlers and isnt that effective against spin either. The less we talk about his bowling the better.

His last 3 t20 scores were 55,40,3. Not as bad as some people make him out to be.

Good young batsman.

Poor guy is unlucky to be batting at #8 in T20Is and PSL.

Fsr Misbah thinks Shadab is a better batsman than him.

He should be batting at 5, well ahead of the likes of Khushdil and Shadab.

Well done to the team management:

Match 1 - carries the drinks and towels
Match 2 - carries the drinks and towels
Match 3 - sent in to bat at number 8 and doesn't face a ball

This feels a bit harsh. There wasn't room for everyone in the first 2 ODI's and we won the final one. Would have been questionable management to send him into a situation where we could throw the whole game if he doesn't perform.

He'll get his chances in more appropriate scenarios, he's done enough in FC to deserve that.

I don’t care how talented he is, if he fields like that he has work to do to cement his place in the team. Same goes for Haider Ali. Need a top class fielding coach to keep these guys on a leash.

Haider is another level of mediocrity when it comes to fielding. Maybe it’s nerves who knows?

Nothing harsh about it.

It's facts.
