"I can become the all-rounder that Pakistan needs" : Hussain Talat

amazing how these(Faheem,Nawaz and Talat) bits and pieces players are "stars" in PSL.

Hussain Talat seems to be in good touch here. The pitch is as flat as a road and the out field is lightning fast, can't ask for a better chance to prove himself.

Should forget about his bowling and work very very hard on his batting.

Mediocre. Couldn't do jack against pace. Not a quality player.

Talat has been a disaster and his fielding probably cost us this match. Should have caught Hendricks in the deep and then played a not too convincing innings that ended up not upto the mark for this chase.

Proper match ka mujrim this guy. Gave away 14 in his only over and then killed the game with his batting. Total dud, don't know why he is in the side, just does not look international class.

Very unfortunate for Pakistan. Had Hafeez been fit we probably would have won the game considering the small margin.

Bhai meray, batting hi kar...

A lot work to be done on his game, batting is on a okayish level.

Let’s not talk about fielding and bowling.

He's a work in progress. Most of the young players are. Stop crying every time we lose a match or they fail.

Learn to be patient. Developing players is a long and arduous process.

Under-hits the ball. Would still take him over Malik in Odis in a heartbeat

Yeah, he's got a grip problem. He's been coached to be a top hand player hence holds the bottom hand lightly. Problem is his strength is the exact opposite. He relies heavily on bottom handed shots but with a loose bottom hand grip, the bat twists when he tries to exert more power hence can't use of his muscle mass. He should be clearing boundaries with ease.

I like him as a player. He’s not a finisher, he needs time to get going. He can play some decent shots. Don’t mind him getting chances.

Good post.

Saw good signs, can develop further, also wasn't too confident, inexperience,

He had a mental issue while playing today, very hard to rectify that aspect but depends on him ,let's see anyway.

Pcb needs to give youngsters a proper chance and confidence. He pkayed some good shots and scored 40.

May be we should give him a few more games..there is a lot of insecurity around this team and its never easy for a new player to play his natural game

Wow! You guys want instant gratification all the time. You have a young team, shouldn't you be giving them more time and opportunities before passing judgments on them?

Like all the young players in the country, he is not good enough to make an impact against the elite teams. However, his batting is not terrible for a borderline minnow team. I think he can cement his place in the middle-order after Malik and Hafeez retire.

However, he needs to give up the delusions of becoming an all-rounder. He is as much of an all-rounder as Kohli, Trott, Younis etc.

He is a top order batsman who shouldn't play below no. 3. I agree that he is a work in progress and has potential. He must give up his bowling and concentrate fully on his batting.

I cannot see Talat lasting in international cricket for any length of time - lack of intent and seems to be playing for his place.

A mediocre batsman. He seems to be scared of the ball. He always moves away from the direction of the ball and then tries to hit the ball.

A true bits and pieces player. Hope I never see him again.

Talat's had a bit of stage fright so I'd like to see him given another chance to show why some of us were beckoning for his inclusion.

Bowling to AB and Fakhar Zaman today - 20 off the over.

A very ordinary bowler, if only his batting was good enough to compensate for it

Typical Hussain Talat innings today in the PSL.

Some good shots, awful shots, ordinary running between the wickets and then a comedy dismissal.

He will take atleast two years to mature and improve as a batsmen , don't think he is more than a part timer who can bowl couple of overs in ODis

Hussain Talat is struggling big time in this year's PSL and his recent performances even before the start of PSL have been really poor.

Second time he has been stumped in three games vs left arm spin (both against KK).
