nope.

This is a karachi wicket that supports spinners and only Rizwan has been the only sane captain to figure this out.

In Australia i dont think this guys spin would be that handy. For Australia we dont even need spinners, just having one or two are enough and im pretty certain Shadab, Nawaz and Imad will keep those positions
 
Khushdil has been bowling really however he must keep taking wickets to have a chance in the starting xi for the next world t20.

His batting is not international quality too to add here.
 
Having a great tournament so far. Finished a match for his side vs LQ (All shots were from straight to off region as people previously has been critical of his leg side tendency) and in the last two matches with his bowling more than the wickets, what's been impressive is his pace variations and accuracy (Looks to have done some work).

Khushdil Shah has the second-most wickets, the second-best economy, and the second-best batting strike-rate of any player at PSL 2022.

He has been incredible. Earned himself a ODI and T20 call-up for the Australia series.
 
Should get a long rope in LOIs now. He has improved his off-side game and bowling a lot. I am advocating for the following middle-order batting order in T20Is since some days. Hope to see it in next series.

4- Shadab
5- Iftikhar
6- Khushdil
7- Asif
8- Nawaz

A lot of good all-round options + 3 proper pacers (not Hasan or Waseem type pacers from whom we expect some late order cameo in batting, we need proper pacers like Shaheen. Naseem and Rauf can be the options).
 
He should definitely be in the T20I team.

Don't know about ODI's though, guys like him and Asif Ali are simply not capable of playing in ODI's.

Disagree, I think Khushdil is a great fit for the ODI middle order. He's only played one ODI but he has a great List-A record, average of nearly 45 and SR almost 100
 
What a PSL7 tournament Khushdil Shah is having:

Averaging 36.33 at a strike-rate of 213.72 with the bat

13 wickets at an economy-rate of 6.60 with the ball
 
Khushdil has been different class this season should be part of the squad vs Australia in t20s.
 
That final shot, off balance, over extra cover, against a muchh slower ball way outside off stump, just after Jordan had bowled the last delivery at 145kph, is nothing short of spectacular.
 
He seems to have improved his off side play. He will be devastating on his day. Plus a decent bowling option too.
 
Khushdil is who Iftikhar thinks he is and who some fans think Asif Ali is. he is better than both of them
 
Shadab should have got player of the tournament however he did have a brilliant tournament.
 
I want Khushdil to do well, but even though he has only played 17 times for Pakistan we have already seen his limitations. His range of strokes is limited and teams will quickly work him out if he doesn't add a few more shots to his range.

As for him being a big-hitter or finisher or whatever they want to call him - his T20I strike rate is only 107.

Incredible performance in another high-pressure situation. I'll be honest, I didn't think much of him a year ago. But he has improved leaps and bounds since then and made a believer out of me.

Finally a finisher you can back and maybe even rely on in the future.

Absolutely magnificent from Khushdil, and this is not the first time either. He's making a habit of these innings. Great stuff.
 
Nice innings from Khushdil. Seems much reliable than the likes of Iftikhar & Asif Ali in the finisher role.
 
I do hope he is a solution to our lack of power hitting. Do need another big hitter too. Can’t expect one person to fire every time!
 
Won Pakistan the game with the cameo at the end would have liked him to bowl a couple overs.
 
Can't play anything over 135K comfortably and it was apparent while he was facing Joseph , Definitely a liability against top nations.

Need to see M.Haris and Haider Ali as hitters for now in the middle order even if they fails.

Although Romario Shephard has a knack of bowling a few boundary deliveries every over, still it was good to see Khushdil make the most of it and win the match for Pak. He still has his glaring limitations which is for all to see (couldn't hit Joseph well) but I feel like he's the best option at the moment for no.6 at the moment.

His offside game is still very scratchy and will be targeted by the opposition and he has to improve that facet. Since his work with Hayden, I feel like he has been showing a lot more confidence in his shots. He was good in PSL as well.

Haider Ali has been batting like Muralitharan for last 6 months.

The 3rd 6 he hit over wide mid off and the lap sweep over fine leg for 4 are clear indications of the fact that he has widened his array of shots. Dont forget the 20 odd against Aus in a big chase too. Haider has to relearn his game he has regressed in the past 2 years.

I think he has smashed Haris Rauf quiet a few times. Pace is not the issue. He likes the ball to be pitched fuller. A bit back of length with pace, he is cramped to free his arms and also has a problem against short ball.

Exactly , Big teams will always limit his power hitting ability and Big teams have more than one Joseph in their bowling lineup.
 
Yet some posters on here will be clamouring for ‘Ifti’ to be brought back in his place.
 
An interesting story on Khushdil. I saw him in person during a warm up match between Pakistan and Australia. He was absolutely leathering the ball during the batting drills. So much so that he had to come over and tell younger kids to move away from the fence because he was afraid of hurting them. Very likeable and humble.

Who in the world sees Khushdil as potentially Pakistan’s best all rounder????

Why are these players being mislead and thus destroying our national side??!

I would rather go in with one less batsman in the middle order than play this mental midget at this point

Maybe they're referring to hitting sixes in video games.

We certainly don't see it in real life.
 
Instead a proper bowler or batsman should be played in place of these fake all rounders

I would be tempted to play Wasim jnr instead of Khushdil or Asif.Wasim looks a better batsmen than these two.
 
Jos Butler is generally a very kind hearted man. If Khushdil requested, I’m pretty sure Jos would withdraw the appeal and let him bat as it’s only a friendly warm up.

He should have tried at least

I wonder if the team management are going to use the 'injured' card for him and get a replacement.

There is no doubting his capability. He can be a dangerous player

But there is plenty of questions about his intensity when he puts on the Pakistan shirt. Not sure what his game plan is, and gets out when he decides to finally get going
