Just say something against Pakistan and Indian fans will support you. Klassen ki toh nikal padi i won't be surprised if he gets a 5% share in srh.

When you cant play our bowlers you accuse them, white men are jealous of Pakistani bowlers etc etc. The subsequent tests turned out that Hasnain was indeed chucking and Henriques was right. The victim card didnt work for long.

Similarly, I repeat..there is no smoke without fire. Why would Klassen accuse an international team just like that? Remember SA board is not that strong as well and even below PCB in pecking order. So I am 100% sure Klassen must have observed something fishy to open his mouth. Posters here need to think about it logically rather than blaming everything and everyone being jealous on their team.

No international cricketer or umpire has accused Bumrah of chucking like Moises Henriques did for Hasnain or like how Klassen is accusing Pak team of ball tampering. If anything, experts like Ian Pont & Ian Bishop has detailed why Bumrah don't chuck after they got relentless spamming from insecure Pakistanis like yourself to speak on this subject. I can understand Bumrah becoming the best seamer of all time from Asia is bit of a tough pill to swallow for some here but unfortunately you need to cope with the reality rather than sulking.

I don't buy it one bit.
Ian Pont, Ian Bishop or anyone else for that matter can say what they like.
We've reached a stage where no one will call Bumrah out due to the moola, and nothing else.

Every single player that has a suspect action, whether it was Akhtar, Murali, Ajmal or even Lee, were tested.
Even Hasnain had to be tested and not many people even picked up on his chucking.

So experts can now distinguish between a chuck and hyperextension but just watching them bowl?
Umpires have suddenly become experts too?

Bumrah will remain a chucker for many people until he is tested by an independent body and he is shown to have Hyperextension or has a to remodel his action.

You won't change this opinion and personally it has zero do with witch country he plays for.

Do you know what chucking means? A genuine question.

You have to bend it forward and then straighten it to chuck. You can't chuck with slingy action.
 
Needs to have proof. Not just hey it's reversing so you are tampering the ball.

Basically Rashid Latif is saying the same what I said yesterday that Aqib Javed is behind this exaggerated reverse swing. Another example of what Rajdeep talk today, world does tomorrow.

So what's the point of testing him..? You'd say exact same thing ie he cleared the test due to moola, nothing else..

Anyway, let's not derail the thread.

Thread is about Klaasen accusing Pakistan for ball tampering. I don't think any player should do that unless they have proof. We are not playing in odler era where players could tamper easily.

Now ball goes back to umpires after every over and cameras are around. Unlees you have proof, you shouldn't accuse anyone for tampering.

Your logic is since XYZ was tested after getting reported in past so everyone should be tested? That's different than you saying/thinking that a specific player chucks. Two different issue. I was more interested in how you understand chucking personally.

Anyway, let's not derail this thread. Let's keep this thread on topic. I am sure there are many threads for chucking. We can pick up one of those treads to discuss it.

I never understood this argument of "X happened in Year Y so therefore Z must be true."

Hasnain was indeed proven to be chucking and he was held accountable. And yes Pakistan tampered in the past in an era with no neutral umpires and minimal TV coverage.

However Klaasen has no proof of what he's insinuating here. If he had any concerns, talk to the umpires and match referee instead of mouthing off in a press conference after your side lost again.

Supersport have over two dozen HD cameras at the ground. Did they find anything untoward ? We know how quick they were to highlight the use of sandpaper by Australia.

South Africa of all teams have no right to take the moral high ground on this issue when their ex-captain was caught red-handed using zippers and sweets.
 
If Klaasen didn't saw reverse swing like that before then he had seen nothing yet. It wasn't even reverse swinging that much. Wait till he face real reverse swing v Pakistan CT.

Hasnain chucking or Pakistan tampering in past is irrelevant.

You need to have some proof to accuse Pakistan for tampering in modern era. You can't just say that , look ball is reversing so it means Pakistani is tampering because they did in past.

It's not old era. If you have something to say, talk to umpires and referee. There are lots of cameras around and officials can go and look for evidence of tampering. Klaasen is not some random fan and saying something like this after losing the match looks bad.
 
Time to keep an eye on the reverse swing again with the test match starting today. Klassen just opened the pandora's box.

Bumrah clearly chucked the ball that got Travis Head out , should be ban for life without even getting a chance to test his action , reason ? A random fan on the Internet said so.

When Sachin used to drive 155 kph inswinging yorkers straight down the ground for boundaries, it felt almost unfair—like he was defying the laws of cricket. That’s what true talent does: it makes the impossible seem effortless.

Shaheen Afridi was the only bowler consistently reverse swinging the ball in the series because he has the pace and action and the skill. At least from what I saw, no other Pakistani bowler managed the same. Shaheen is a generational talent. He’s had his ups and downs, but in ODIs, he is regal.

As for the claims by Klassen, if he has proof, he should present it. With cameras everywhere and umpires regularly checking the ball’s condition, baseless accusations don’t hold much weight. And the excuse that “no one else has done it on this ground” is absurd. Just because Klassen hasn’t seen something happen before doesn’t make it impossible.

Umar Gul knew the legal way where the ball was thrown from the boundary and allowed to do a one bounce on the square of the wicket that would impact the ball.

So what klassen mentioned, was any evidence ever shown?

This 100% happened during the series and I called it out in the match thread too.

This is not legal btw. Umpires do not allow players to do this anymore.

My hunch is that PSL had been off to a terrible start from a PR point of view and this is sadly a desperate attempt to bring some attention to a league struggling to catch any international attention right now considering IPL is being played in front of packed houses.

This is what we are doing now to get attention and it’s terrible.

Injuries finished him. Even when he was fit, consistency wasn't a strong point.

He'd look great for a couple of matches and then go missing completely for the rest of the year.

He was far more comfortable in white ball cricket

Difficult to get into any kind of rhythm with repeated injuries, he spent a good chunk of his Test career rebuilding opposed to levelling up, fitness was his main downfall there, unfortunately a recurring theme for Pakistani quicks, at least then you had bowlers who love red ball cricket. But very few can say they have a 5fer against ATG Indian Batting.
 
@Nikhil_cric The final straw for Gul was Misbah, he use to utilise quicks as though they were spinners & those 4 bowler strategies were not going to be easy on the backs of fast bowlers in the desert. The amount of damage this luloo captain has done to Pakistan cannot be understated.

Yeah. That was a very good spell. But I think he got injured for the very next match in Pindi. Also, didn't help that majority of Pakistani/UAE pitches he played on were absolute roads.

Agree with this. Misbah was clueless when it came to fast bowlers. You can see that in the way he treated Wahab and Irfan etc.

Wahab should have been bowling 4 over spells max. so that he could maximise his pace and impact.

There's a massive difference in the way Clarke handled peak Johnson in 2013 and the way Misbah handled Wahab circa 2016.

Misbah bowled him in longer spells and barely gave him rest between spells etc.

Did the same to Irfan in 2013 series against SA in the UAE

Haha, now that you mention Port Elizabeth I guess I was referring to the second time we could’ve won then… nah I was talking about the UAE series where after SA getting owned in the first match, had to resort to zipper for second game .

The stunning debut of the legend Shan Masood was also in that series iirc

I would be very worried about being in a match with or against him- never know what that ball is going through, and what sort of exposure either side of it is being exposed to… dude is way too creative

Sitting on tv in Pakistan inzy can say India were tampering with the ball, but a player involved in a match can’t say anything
