"I still have the skills, determination and the willpower to play for Pakistan again": Mohammad Asif

If this is true then we have to keep in mind the guy was 35-36 years old, even if he was playing for Pakistan, could his body have held up to the medium fast bowling workloads demanded in test cricket especially if we were playing in the UAE and Pakistan?

I'm talking about domestic cricket, which you were asking about.

Wow shocking really reading some posts here trying to berate Asif who despite his short career is often hailed as the best opponent ever faced by some of the greatest batsman of his generation, you got to have some seriously damaged brain cells to not be able to comprehend his ability with the ball, ignore all the numbers and conditions; the man was a magician with the ball in his hand and had PCB invested in him opposed to the greedy Aamir then they would have certainly got more out of him, Asif was a class A idiot no doubt about his individual behaviour but he didn't accept any monies for them no balls, did his time and delivered in domestic cricket as well, he carries himself with an aura of confidence which should have been channelled on the cricket pitch; instead the PCB let him rot. Both Butt and the Greedy Aaamir were a million times more guilty all things considered.
