What's new

"I thought my career was over" : Sohail Tanvir

CPL does well for him. He consistently performs well in the tournament. With that being said I really hope we don't look at him in the T20 side anymore. But with the PCB...... we never know.

You need to give credit to his resilience. He has made himself one of the most wanted T20 players around the world.

he can stay there, hope he makes a massive pile of money and enjoys his life because in international cricket 10 years have told us he is a failure

Well CPL and all others...

I think we have a whole bunch of players who can perform to a certain level, and Tanvir is one of those. He's had some good performances for Pakistan as well, mixed in with some really poor ones. You could probably reel off a list of names in this bracket including Irfan, Umar Gul and Tanvir.

Then there's another bracket of the really top class bowlers who get into the elite tournaments because they perform consistently at the highest level. I think the only current Pakistani bowler in that category might be Hasan Ali.

These days Gul is bad but overall i reckon he cops more than he deserves.

For a couple of season's he was the best limited overs bowler in the world, and won Pakistan a world tournament, something the other two can even dream off.

If it wasnt for the two new ball rule I think Gul's peak would have lasted a lot longer, the lack of reverse is what killed his career along with injuries.

Agree, the two ball rule took away his main weapon, at one time he was probably one of the best limited overs bowlers around. Good to see him on his game today.

This guy is genuinely one of the worst fielders I have seen, and then he has the audacity to complain about not being in the national team.

The number of misfields and dropped catches from him in this year's CPL have been innumerable.

Because he does not work hard on his fielding, simple.
Unprofessional in this day and age.

Definition of a T20 mercenary. Wrong footed with weird action and 6 hitting ability to boot. Won the first ever IPL as well, best figures for a long time.
