I personally don't like all the Pathan players hanging out together on tour like Naseem, Shaheen, Yasir, Imran, Iftikhar. They should mix with the others. In the past England footballers were criticised as the black players all used to sit together when eating.

Anyway, back on the cricket. He has genuine pace has Naseem. But he is not 16 or 17 or whatever it is.

Naseem needs all the support he can get, he’s going through a very tough time with the loss of his mother. Glad to see all the seniors complimenting him, Shaheen taking him under his wing as a younger brother, and his blossoming friendship with Hasnain at the Gladiators. Theres been plenty of examples in the recent past where young talented players have left to it with little support and made a mess of their fairly young careers

Hes very likely to get overbowled and injured or just not being able to handle fame and getting involved in nefarious activities

The only two things, barring injuries that will stop Naseem Shah from succeeding are:

- his work ethic
- his mentality

In terms of work ethic, every great has had a tremendous work ethic. You can see the modern day greats such as Kohli and Stokes for example. Even Babar.

In terms of mentality, I mean he musn't let any sort of success get to his head or ever think he his bigger than the game. People like Hassan Ali and Fakhar Zaman were matchwinners for a very short period of time because they let their success get to their heads. Every youngster should see people like them as what NOT to be like.
