We all saw what Misbah achieved last time in CT as a captain and from when did conditions in England started supporting spinners.

We all saw what Misbah achieved last time in CT as a captain and from when did conditions in England started supporting spinners.

Ever since the new drainage systems have been incorporated the wickets do aid spin and have become flatter (also helped by the fact that the summers have not been incredibly wet); the wickets are generally great for all round cricket.

I get what you are trying to say but you used the wrong match to make your point. In that match Amir did wreck most of the top order( barring Kohli, who is pretty much on another level).

It was 5, not 6, wicket win with Kohli almost making 3/4 of the runs and the others hopping around embarrassingly. Yuvraj spent 5 overs skipping with 14 runs. Out of your 7 batsmen only 2 made it to double figures, Kohli and Yuvraj. The former showing his class.

My point is, Indians would still win as your bowling is excellent now and Kohli destroys us everytime. But you didn't prove to be world-beaters on a green track either. Watch the highlights, Sharma, Rahane, Raina, Pandaya, and even Yuvraj were borderline embarrassing. Had there been a better line-up who'd given you a chasing score of more than a 100 you'd lost.
