Broadcast Details for ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the details of its broadcast arrangements for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, where eight teams will put it all on the line across 19 days in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

The event where every match counts kicks off on 19 February as hosts Pakistan face New Zealand, with the Final taking place on 9 March where the victorious team will claim the iconic white jackets.

The ICC, through its direct broadcast partnerships with world class broadcasters will bring the thrilling 15 match, two-week competition to fans across the globe.

TV and Digital

In India, the JioStar network will be the home of the Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, offering fans a never-seen-before presentation of an ICC event. For the first time ever on digital, an ICC tournament will be streamed live across 16 feeds, including nine languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The live streaming on JioHotstar will be complemented by four multi-cam feeds. On TV, in addition to the English feed, the network will provide coverage in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, across Star Sports and Sports18 channels.

Two of the most popular innovations enhancing ICC cricket coverage on digital return for the Men’s Champions Trophy 2025: the Indian Sign Language feed and Audio Descriptive Commentary, ensuring an inclusive experience for all audiences. This ground-breaking initiative by the JioStar network won a National Award in the Category of Institutions Engaged in Empowering Persons with Disabilities 2024. The hugely successful vertical feed (MaxView), produced in collaboration with the ICC, will also be available in Hindi and English, providing fans with an easier and more intuitive mobile viewing experience, allowing them to consume content on the go.

In the host country Pakistan, fans will be able to watch the first global tournament on home soil since 1996 via linear partners PTV and Ten Sports, and digitally through the Myco and Tamasha apps. In the United Arab Emirates and the entire MENA region, all matches will be broadcasted on CricLife MAX and CricLife MAX2, with streaming available on STARZPLAY.

For cricket fans in the UK they can catch all 15 matches live on Sky Sports Cricket, Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Action and digitally via the SkyGO, NOW and Sky Sports App.

In the USA and Canada, WillowTV will be the home for Champions Trophy coverage and the 15 matches will also be available via the Willow by Cricbuzz app with Hindi coverage also available. Fans in the Caribbean can watch all the action live via ESPN Caribbean on TV and stream through the ESPN Play Caribbean app.

Amazon is the home of ICC Cricket in Australia, with coverage of the returning Men’s Champions Trophy available on Prime Video. For the first time ever Amazon will also be broadcasting an ICC event in Hindi. In New Zealand, Sky Sport NZ continues to be the go-to broadcaster for ICC events, with coverage also available via the Now and SkyGo app.

Fans supporting South Africa can watch all the action live via SuperSport and its app which will be available across South Africa and to the 52 Sub-Saharan Africa territories.

Nagorik TV and T Sports will be the linear TV broadcasters in Bangladesh, with Toffee making the entire two-week competition available on their app and website. In Afghanistan, the Men’s Champions Trophy will be available on linear via ATN.

Maharaja TV in Sri Lanka continue their coverage of ICC's events through TV1 on linear and Sirasa via digital.

The ICC’s commitment to taking cricket to more fans across the world is highlighted again through ICC.tv. Fans in cricket loving markets such as Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will also be able to watch all 15 Men’s Champions Trophy matches on ICC.tv. In more than 80 territories, all matches from the tournament will be live and free on ICC.tv, including in Nepal, Japan, and Malaysia. This will enable more fans in these markets to enjoy the sport whilst building ICC.tv as a cricket destination

Radio

For fans wanting to listen to coverage directly from the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, the ICC will live radio broadcast all matches free globally via the match centre on the ICC website and app.

In the UK, BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra will provide audio coverage on all 15 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy matches.

In India, audio coverage will be available on All India Radio and in host country Pakistan HUM 106.2FM will be the destination for fans.

Talk 100.3FM and Big 106.2 will be the home of the Men’s Champions Trophy in the UAE, whilst fans in Bangladesh can listen via Radio Shadhin 92.4 and Radio Bhumi 92.8, with Lakhanda Radio providing coverage in Sri Lanka.

ICC TV is gearing up to provide an unparalleled viewing experience for cricket fans across the globe during the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, set to be played in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates between 19 February and 9 March. With comprehensive live coverage of every match, a fully integrated world feed service will be available for broadcasters, ensuring that fans don’t miss a moment of the action.

The extensive coverage will include a pre-match show, innings interval analysis, and a post-match wrap-up, delivering expert insights and in-depth storytelling. A distinguished commentary panel will bring their expertise to the broadcast, enriching the viewing experience and bringing fans closer to the game.

Some of the top names in cricket broadcasting will be leading ICC TV’s coverage with Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith and Ian Bishop, all in attendance.

World Cup winners Ravi Shastri, Aaron Finch, Matthew Hayden, Ramiz Raja, Mel Jones, Wasim Akram and Sunil Gavaskar will share their insights on what it takes to succeed on the biggest stage.

They will be joined by some of the most iconic voices in cricket, including Harsha Bhogle, Michael Atherton, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Kass Naidoo, and Simon Doull, adding depth and diverse perspectives to the commentary box.

Completing the stellar lineup are former internationals Dale Steyn, Bazid Khan, Dinesh Karthik, Katey Martin, Shaun Pollock, Athar Ali Khan and Ian Ward, who will provide expert analysis and insights throughout the tournament.

ICC TV’s production will be supported by Sunset+Vine as the production services partner, and NEP as the equipment services partner. Each match will be captured with a minimum of 36 cameras, with a host of analytical tools and visual enhancements to elevate the broadcast. The Decision Review System (DRS) will be in place for all matches, with Hawk-Eye’s Smart Replay system enabling synchronized multi-angle replays for precise and efficient decision-making. They will also provide Piero graphics for a deeper analysis of the game.

The on-air graphics will be delivered by WT Vision, complemented by in-depth cricket data analytics from Cricviz, enhancing the storytelling with key statistics and insights.

To further enrich the viewing experience, Quidich Innovation Labs will deliver Field 360°, a virtual field model that illustrates fielding positions and strategies in real-time. Their drone camera will offer breathtaking aerial views of venues and surrounding landscapes, while the roving buggy cam will deliver immersive ground-level visuals. Spidercam will further enhance the broadcast with its signature aerial coverage, offering dynamic perspectives of the action.

In an effort to engage mobile-first audiences, ICC TV will collaborate with JioStar to produce a dedicated vertical feed, optimizing the viewing experience for smartphones and offering fans a more intuitive way to follow the tournament.

Beyond the live match coverage, ICC TV will produce an array of non-live content, distributed through the ICC content delivery service. This will include daily player profiles, team features, match previews, venue spotlights, and exclusive behind-the-scenes content, offering fans an all-access pass to the stories unfolding both on and off the field.
 
One can just hope no Nasser Hussain in India vs Pakistan game. He is normally a good commentator but gets over excited on this match.

Pakistan issues visas for Indian journalists to cover Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan has granted visas to all Indian journalists who applied to cover the ICC Champions Trophy. According to sources, seven journalists from India had requested visas for the tournament, which will be hosted by Pakistan.

The sources confirmed that all these journalists have been issued visas, with none of the visa applications being rejected.

The ICC Champions Trophy is set to begin in Pakistan on February 19, featuring eight teams, including Pakistan, India, Australia, and England.

The first match of the tournament will be played tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19, between Pakistan and New Zealand, while the highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India will take place on February 23 in Dubai.

On the other hand, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) provided special charter flights for teams participating in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

In collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), PIA operated nine flights between Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore for the teams’ domestic travel, with in-flight arrangements showcasing Pakistani culture.

Bazid is pretty bad but not as insufferable as Ramiz and Harsha. Gavaskar has also gone over-the-hill in recent times and probably needs to be phased out.
