Unfortunately, Khushdil is retained for the team, only Faheem is being replaced by Haris. I would had done the opposite retained Faheem to help out with pace bowling if one of the pacers is bowling very poorly. For Spin you already have Abrar and Agha, Khushdil batting approach us very poor and timid.

You have to trust our pacers and Abrar to finish the game in 40 overs much like with Irfan. We didn’t play any all rounder and until then Saim was mainly untested.

Sanity has to prevail and If they think beating NZ or even India with them two in the team is beyond a joke.

You really believe Saud or Kamran will go under 5 runs per over?
 
I would play a proper batter Kamran instead of the fake all rounders. Agha can ball his full quota, he will do no worse that additional overs by Faheem or Khushdil, but anyhow it seem the team has been decided, but u never know with Pakistan tlll the match day.

Role could vary game to game also but it seems specially in 350 Chase game they gave rol to let's get 90 in powerplay and hence top 3 went for that and maybe that's the general strategy now to have top 3 go for maximum in powerplay but that is not Saud natural game.

Which is why I wasn't in favor of Saud being in our side in One Days. Now since he's in. No. 3 is the best position for him. I still think he should take a little more time before kicking on.

Aquib himself was a pace bowler , why he cannot work a bit on Faheem bowling ? Right now Pakistan has to make XI with the squad they have.

Kamran Ghulam , can be used as a part timer , a few overs from him Fakhar , and Aga , saud can be useful.
I do not think Khudshil is better than Ghulam .

Pakistan has to find a plan to restrict Kiwis under 300 , that should be the plan, chasing 350 is not going to happen everyday , it has happened only a few times in so many OD .

A lot will depend on how Pakistan field , they need to stick to catch whatever comes way . Rizwan needs to rotate the bowlers properly , he has to figure out which bowler should be used in which part of the game. Faheem would be playing I think , so he needs to bowl at least 5 - 7 overs of consistent line and length.

very much chaseable if they prepare a conventional Karachi wicket but if they make it slower like they prepared for the tri nation final then 280 would be more than enough.

Paskistan's main problem is their batters like Babar, KG, Saud are not performing at all. Rizwan is inconsistent and too slow most of the time. Then in the middle order Tayyab is looking ok but Khushdil & Faheem are disasters. Because of this inconsistency in batting, they have to play one bowler short. Also, there was no need to replace Hasnain after one game, Shaheen should have been dropped as he is not performing
 
What if Pakistan goes with Usman Khan as opener???

Yes he is but he is the only guy who opened recently in list A and performed. His stats in Champions cup were amazing. He could be a league bully but he should be playing as a specialist opener instead of forcing Babar.

Shaheen has 20 wickets in the last 8 games. Curious to hear what your definition of performance is if Shaheen needs to be dropped from the team?

They not brave enough to make any changes in opening. Babar will open, only doubt still remains with Haris, he may breakdown again in the match so they may not risk him in this match and Hasnain may play instead.

He is so awful in SENA conditions that abd and imam look bradmans in away conditions.
Failed in 6 cosecutive innings in aus and couldnt even get a 25+ score.
Failed in SA as well except for that 82 which was a complete outlier.
So he is just a HTB like babar and head.

I would play Chapman instead of latham as latham is from family quota in ODIs.
 
I would gladly take petrol pump worker over that garbage 4 ft midget who cant play anything above knee level to save his life.

I hope that hack Usman doesn't play a single match in the tournament. He should be nowhere near international cricket.He is terrible, awful and pathetic

Very tough game for Pakistan after the two drubbing they had from NZ. At the same time ideal opportunity to win an ICC tournament on home soil.

What will be the team remains a mystery due to capricious selection.

Exactly , they should play Faheem and Khusdil every game to lose them on paper itself. Such a shambolic brain fade irresponsible selections from a team that whitewashed Sa in Sa and win a ODI series in Australia. Both AUS and SA played their first string side and Pak defeated them easily. Just one guy Saim Ayub out on injury they bring in 4 players to replace and suffice the local boards.
