It's so weird because they have done it before and seen success... and yet, they want him batting at #6? So he can hit sixes (hasn't hit a single one in 8 career innings at #6)? It's so odd how they always persist with these weird things like even Hafeez opening the innings or batting at 3 when he would actually be better off at #6 since he does have the ability to clear the boundary and the field is so spread out in death overs, he could even manage to rotate the strike the odd time.

Pakistan obviously doesn't have the firepower to match England and India but at the same time, optimize your lineup so you can squeeze out as many runs as possible. Give yourself the best lineup and chance.
 
Ahaha azhar must have been reading pakpassion using his mind-fi powers and decided to shut us all up. ahahhaha
 
Its getting beyond a joke now the number of balls Azhar plays in an ODI inns and it will cost the team dear at some point!
 
What shocks me is that Fakhar has failed to hit a six at 23(17) but Azhar hits a six against a fast bowler????
 
Thisara Perera should be dropped from Lankan team. Should stick to T20 leagues.
 
Fakhar Zaman loves running singles and I appreciate that but giving strike to this snail is not an option.
 
This is where Fakhar has got himself in but needs to go on and get a big score and really take game away from SL.
 
Despite Azhar's pateechar innings we are still going at 5.5 all thanks to Fakhar. Imagine if we actually had a batsman inplace of Azhar we would be going at 7-8 at the moment.
 
Now let's enjoy Azhar Ali play dots only to take a single off the last delivery.
 
Hmm that delivery seems identical to Fakhar previous dismissal. Something he'll need to work on.

Awful cricket. Don't know how anyone can enjoy mishits going for 6s, then saying stop living in the past when people critcise it.
 
Imagine we have Sharjeel and Fakher opening , Haris in the middle in place of Hafeez we could be the 3rd or 4th best team
 
Decent start so far, hope Fakhar can stay at the wicket and get a big score
 
There is merit in selecting domestic bullies. Fakhar has average of 50+ at 90SR in domestics. There must be a reason for it.

That team would be good enough to be #1. And you might very well see that unofficially if we win the champions trophy. Just a matter of mental toughness.
 
Fakhar may have his technical issues, especially against the short ball which Morkel exposed in the last match, but I tell you what.

I'll take Fakhar's hacking to ugly 30-40s so we can get to 60-70 in the first ten over the snail-like starts we've been having with Azhar and Shehzad.
