Dhoni batted fine!! Ground dimensions are such that hitting sixes at will was really hard.

However, scoring more than run a ball should have been easy from 1st over, and this is where we lost those extra 30 runs.
 
Man Sri Lanka bat way down. Thisara Perera comes at 8. We should keep taking wickets.
 
Pandya and Jadeja are the weak links in this attack today. Kohli trying to fill in their overs.

Lessons learned...should apply in the next game
 
Not great captaincy. This is the time to build pressure by bowling dot balls; instead, we are letting them build another partnership.

This is the time to give Jaddu and Pandaya another go. Lanka won't try anything outrageous now.

Rohit needs to hit more. He is usually too slow. We scored only 48 runs in the first 10 overs. Thats pathetic on this surface.
 
Kohli should just attack with Bhuvi,Umesh and Bumrah. Look for wickets. No pointvsaving them for later.
 
Come on Kohli and Dhoni, get back Jadeja. Time for dot balls, pressure and choking them.

Unlikely man. Of the present squad Shami (when not injured) and Yadav have more potential.

Bhuvi has become a boss t20 bowler and might get better in ODIs

This is how they got here. Took risky singles, played risky shots and luck favored them then. It hasn't been the case since the first runout.

Should've taken heed from the first runout. Indians are not ones to miss chances in the field all that often.
 
Very easy chase. This is a good wake up call for our openers. To play faster in the beginning
 
India simply cannot give boundaries at this point.

I don't think its Jaddu's fault. The pitch is a beauty to bat on. Just swing your bat through the line and fetch the boundary.
 
Alot of risk for one run only, needs to calm down.

Giving them room and time to play shots,should bowl to the field he is setting.
 
Question is, Are Indian seamers going to get the reverse like we did yesterday? - Reverse was main reason we were able to control the game. They bowled more yorkers yesterday than in entire 2016....
 
Missed the start of the lankan innings but looks like they are cruising at the moment. Matthews will be the key here. He bats through then SL should win this easy.

But India needs wickets. Lankans can easily make up for those dot balls later.
