Fakhar and Haris should come in next match but I doubt Haris will get a chance. I have seen Mickey's press conferences and he said because they have worked wih Shehzad, Azhar, Hafeez mostly in past thats why they are preferred.

Haris bhee tou camp mein tha.
SA bowlers won't be easy for Fakhar. Fakhar prefers spinners.
Haris is far more all-round batsman.
Tons of dot balls from overs 5 to 30. Haris needed to curb that.

If we want to be courageous, pick all three for the next game : Fahim, Fakhar and Haris
We know what our TTF's offer. Nothing new same old rubbish brand of cricket.
Shadab an 18 year old seemed to have more intent that our experienced lot.
So why not throw caution to the wind and go for some youngsters. Maybe they will show some courage. Potential line up:

If Hafeez plays the next game then you can be sure that Pakistan is going no where with Mickey and Sarfaraz combo. He is the biggest culprit of today's match after Wahab.

Why was this not done against India? Honestly, that was a rubbish team and it's no surprise that it resulted in such a heavy defeat.

Mickey should not and probably won't tolerate Shehzad's batting approach. It's not one match only. Mickey knows what Shehzad did in last Odi series vs 9th ranked WI.
Sarfraz should open with Azhar. If wicket is totally flat and sun is out than Hafeez should open. We can't afford thise 60 dot balls in middle overs. Haris must cone in.
Imad & Wahab should be benched too in favour of Fahim and Junaid. Even if no Haris than legside batsman Fakhar should come in enough of Shezi boy.
SA chokes Pak wins. SA doesn't choke Pak will lose [MENTION=567]TAHIR[/MENTION] fan

I'll give you the same advice I gave my kid brother, who literally went into a completed meltdown yesterday and broke his iPhone in frustration. Got a proper hiding from Dad ofcourse but seriously kids (not implying you're one) these days......
For starters watch a few highlights of games with your favorite victories post 1997 era or from whenever you've started watching cricket and you'll start to feel a bit better of the current hopeless situation. Also go check out Alic88 compilations on YouTube; those are extremely uplifting TBH...once you're feeling better shut off all cricket related stuff until the SA game.....Also try to avoid social media.
After following PCT for nearly two decades now stuff like this have literally made me immune to cricketing heartbreak. It hurts for a bit initially but within a couple of hours I am back to normal.....
Do a bit of light comedy reading if you're really feeling out of it....hope it works for you bro....

Hafeez is useless if he does not bowl atleast 5 overs,as S.A have quite a few left handers I think Hafeez will play.We need to drop the selfie king and bring in Fakhar(don't see that happening),Junaid will replace Wahab(he too will the thrashed),bring in Fahim in place of Imad(don't see that happening too).

Junaid has edge over Amla from 2013 series but his current pace & fitness is quite poor. He would need seamers friendly wicket plus cloud cover to get Cock, Amla & Faf out cheaply.
If wicket is flat, sun is out than only SA choking will result in us winning other wise Our team doesn t deserve beating SA and we are too weak infront of them.

Before Edgebaston June 4th, Before Mohali, before the 2007 T20WC brain fade; the generation that grew up watching the 90s Titans witnessed a similar heart break during the 2003 WC group stage game at centurion.
In that game we scored 272 in 50 (which was like 330 right now) and ended up on the loosing side because Waqar declined to bowl against Sachin with the new ball and Shoaib got a proper working Phainty from Sehwag. I was so bummed out with that loss I was literally sulking for a good two weeks...
It's cricket, it happens and with time this will all be some horrible distant memory. This is a though phase in Pakistan cricket and we need to stick with the PCT more than ever now !!!

Dude lives in a fantasy world where Pakistan bowling has the X-factor and Indian bowling is overrated.
Where Pakistan team has better players and Indian team is generally overrated.
Yet when Pakistan loses, it is always horrible team selections that caused it to happen.
When Pakistan wins, our team was too good.
In such a parallel universe, it is not surprising that Wahab is being supported even after a career ending decimation yesterday.
You ask him, he will tell you Wahab is better than Bhuvi, Umesh , Pandya and Bumrah.

It is a fact that the following players are just passengers in the team and contribute next to nothing:
Hafeez
Wahab
Shehzad
Fact of the matter is if you replace these players with debutants, the team wouldn't do any worse than it is already doing however, it might do a little better.
Along with the aforementioned players I would also remove Imad Wasim. He's a nothing player. I don't know how someone like that can get selected at this level. His bowling is astonishingly poor and the less said about his batting the better.
Removing these four players from the team would give us somewhat of a chance. If you look at it. almost 40% of team is not contributing anything. These guys really need to be dropped if we're to stand any chance of winning the game against South Africa

This has to be the stupidest comment I've ever read on PP.
You could bowl at 300 miles an hour but if you're wayward it is pointless. If you can't bowl at the stumps and if you don't have any variations you will get hammered, just like Wahab did.
Riaz is a poor man's Sami. He is one of the worst bowlers I have ever seen. I'd rather have a trundling Rana Naveed or Sohail Tanvir over him. A completely useless and brainless cricketer who has overstayed his welcome.

1999 was an extremely dodgy year for Pakistan cricket with many off field issues going on regarding cricket curroption and everything so that 'loss' generally wasn't seen as a completely hopeless situation plus we reached the final of the tournament so it was a bit of consolation at the end.
In 2003 we were knocked out of the group stages and couldn't win against 1 of the big boys of the group and that India match was effectively the nail in the coffin for or chances to progress. This was the same tournament where Andrew Symonds scored 300+ against Waz, Vicky and Shabby after coming in at 60-4 and Pakistan batting getting decimated by Jimmy Frickin Adams in an ODI

It was silly to play him on such a flat pitch against a side like India. Would be silly to play him against South Africa too. However, he can make some serious dents in the Lankan middle-order that don't play pace well and are nowhere as explosive or relentless as the aforementioned teams. I fail to see why we never pick the right players for the right situation and always play the same combination if we win and change things up if we lose.

Pyaray bhai I heard from credible sources that management (Mickey specially) asked for Umar Amin. Sarfraz has played with Haris in WC 2015 and said it before that Haris' loss was a setback for Pak odi team.
I am pretty sure Mickey didnt see Haris much before the CT but now he is in squad and training I hope Mickey has the eye for talent to see his potential. Mickey talks a lot about dot balls and Haris is one of the best to rotate strike in middle overs.

If I don't know who U Amin & H Sohail are witness them in Nets than I will pick U Amin surely. More classy, stylo, better reach, better fitness.
But that is one part.
In match situations there is pressure, you get starred & slegged. There are all types of wickets, all types of Oppositions so you have to see these things too.

The only team that can outdo Pakistan when it comes to self-destruction is SA. Our best chance is to bat first, score 270+ somehow and nip de Kock and Amla early. The middle-order will feel the heat and we know the likes of de Villiers do not have the temperament and composure to finish games.
However, they look well prepared this time and our team is mentally shot after yesterday. Even Mickey, who is normally quite vibrant, looked completely dejected and defeated in the presser. Unless he can rally the team over the next two days and SA falls on its own sword, it is going to be another one-sided contest.

It's Shadab or nothing. Not only are South Africa as a uniy weak against spin, but Sri Lanka have been destroyed repeatedly by Tahir and Shadab is a similar sort of spinner.

As a Pakistani team supporter living abroad in Canada and following every match of Pakistan, I feel the pain and embarrassment to watch Pakistan play like this. As you mentioned to Saj that you read everything on Pakpassion, I humbly request you to get rid of Azhar, Hafeez, Shahzad and the Akmals (not in the Squad ATM) from our ODI team once and for all. I have been watching this painful display of our ODI team since 2012 when we started losing ODI Bilaterals against every major side like England, Australia, South Africa (I know we won once in 2013 by luck), New Zealand and sadly, it has been downhill since than. I believe Sarfaraz is a good captain but we cannot carry the old baggage with us anymore. I believe in moving forward and the only way we can Improve the side is to start from next match WITH RIGHT SELECTION of the team. For now, please give the chance to youngsters in the team. I recommend this team against South Africa:
1. Fakhar
2. Azhar
3. Babar
4. Haris
5. Malik
6. Sarfaraz
7. Imad/ Hafeez
8. Shadab
9. Amir
10. Hassan
11. Junaid
this team will somewhat give competition against good playing side cause I am for once DONE AND EXHAUSTED to see the TTFs play. Please make the right selection and if not, I can guarantee you many Pakistanis living abroad and even in Pakistan will stop watching cricket just Like I did after 2010 fixing by the trio. Please, for the sake of God, SELECT THE RIGHT TEAM!

Yes, he will have a big role to play. Looked quite impressive yesterday in spite of not having any assistance, unlike Imad whose arm balls are not going to fool serious batsman.
Toss is crucial over the next two games. We will choke if we are chasing, but both SA and SL are jittery chasers as well. Bat first and score 270+, and you give yourself a bit of hope.

[MENTION=131701]Mamoon[/MENTION] Shadab is a very fine prospect. You cannot say that any player will be TTF of future, He is hard working and seems to have a bright future ahead of him. His variations are very good with sharp googly.
