Just Shows our teams Auqaat in this decade, when even a player from BD is on such list but none of ours. We deserve this treatment to be honest.

It's all about longevity. Look at our WC 11, 15 and 19 teams and you will find completely different squads for whatever reasons. Career span of our players is small, and 90% of players are mediocre.

Surprised with Tahir there . Ashwin was terrific for India till 2017. Expected him there over Tahir.
This shows the importance of stability in teams. Our team has been most turbulent with frequently changing captains, openers, bowlers. Hope next decade is ours. Would love seeing Haider, Abdullah , Bobby making it over the next decade along with Shaheen. It's a shame there is no one from Pak but it's a sad reflection of our cricket. Emphasize stability. Give long ropes to players and captain.

To put things in perspective - this was Pakistan's performance against the top 8 in the decade -

against -

TEAM -PLAYED -WON -LOST -Tied/No Result

AUS 24 3 21

BAN 12 8 4

ENG 25 6 18 1

IND 14 4 10

NZL 25 7 16 2

SAF 27 12 15

SRL 36 22 13 1

W.I. 20 12 7 1

One of the more forgettable decades for Pakistan against the elite teams in the world in the decade that has just passed.

PAK took an absolute hammering against Australia, England, India and New Zealand.

India, England and New Zealand were teams that Pakistan historically dominated or had a better head to head record in the past.

Overall a decade to forget bar the victory in Champions Trophy for Pakistan.

The only teams against whom Pakistan had a better win loss record in the decade were Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

summed it up. Thats a harsh reality. The last time we saw a settled Pakistani team was in world cup 2003, since then it has been changing after every 4 years with only 1 or 2 player making it to the next world cup.

Exactly, teams have given players a lot of chances to show their worth, and frankly, we don't do that in the right places.

We'd give players in the poorest of forms the most chances, and give debutants and new members a very small rope.

It's a crime, and it needs to change, because we need one solid squad for the next 5 years, built around the pillars of the team who are Shaheen, Babar, Imam, and Shadab.

Absolutely deserve it I am fine with not having a single Pakistani in the test or odi team but they should have put one in the t20 team because some of the players they put were probably surprised how they got there

did yuvraj singh deserve to be in the list? surely he has done better thank Shakib at the begining of the decade. Player of the tournament in 2011 WC. Also Saeed Ajmal over Tahir all day long.

Not done much in this decade although he was superb in World Cup 2011
he would have been a sure shot in team of previous decade
