ICC Men's T20 World Cup | India v New Zealand | Dubai | 31 October, 2021 | India innings

India just haven't turned up at all this tournament. I suspect things are just not happy in the dressing room
 
whats happened to india?
im guessing they are tired after playing alot of cricket this year.
england have played even more cricket than india, but they rotated and rest many players

Someone should tell the Indian batters that it is actually possible to score runs by running between the wickets.
 
Kohli and Pant in for another repair job after the match against Pakistan.
 
Does India have any brain or management team. What is Rishap pant is not coming after Rahul, he is a momentum charger. Ravi Shastri has been taking a credit for just sitting in a dug out, he should be thrown out.
 
Maybe the ball isn't coming onto the bat, might be why Indian batsmen are playing so cautiously.
 
India seem burnt out after playing the high quality IPL and cant motivate themselves to play low quality tournaments.

Repair job? You kidding me. NZ must be shaking in their pyjamas. Only one more wicket to bring Power Hitter Pandya to the crease.
 
I understand Indian fans are upset, but do Indian team want to play seriously and win???

It may be harsh but Rohit, Kohli etc are not good enough now for this format. They are too slow as compared to years before to run fast
 
Not good from India so far, much depends on these 2 with Pandya and Jadeja not in batting form
 
I thought pakistan were heading in the wrong direction with Babar and Rizwan

The ball wasn't coming on yesterday for Australua either in the first innings and this is the same pitch. And we all saw how it plays out in the 2nd innings.

Time to say goodbye to this tournament and look forward to SA tour.
 
Indian players seem to be playing under big pressure, they have succumbed to shots they will usually make in low pressure IPL or bilateral.
 
India is trying to attack but things not going their way except for the drop catch. You can see the pressure of the game. The scheduling is backfiring.

Big test for VK and middle lower order.

Don’t know whether it’s IPL fatigue or pressure to win a tournament but whatever it is, it’s making the quality of this tournament look terrible
 
Chalo, thanks for showing up. In IPL, Kohli opened the batting and looked good in powerplays but struggled after powerplays, here in must win game though, he is batting at 4. The tactics are as absurd as you could expect.

Better to focus on South Africa tour.
 
I just dont know why these days i feel bad after virat after every dismissal maybe because he has a good character off the field. He definitely deserves better.
 
Its not over till both teams bat. I don't know why some of our fans are getting over excited. India's got a gun lower order and bowling lineup.

Indians have choked under pressure, they have given their wickets to short ball, halk volley on leg stump, full and short ball from sothi.

Quality of tournament is fine . India is playing like minnows . Afghanistan pakistan England South Africa Sri Lanka are playing good cricket

So no credit to opposition......it's all due to pitch and toss
 
These two just need to bat the next 4 overs get themselves in and then go big as they can. If that happens it will give bowlers a chance.

Please don't give an excuse of IPL fatigue now because I have been saying the same thing even before the World Cup happened. All these IPL fans care about is the amount of money players are earning in IPL and how much amount billionaires are spending on buying franchises. :inti

Fair to say that Kishan is a poor man's Rishabh Pant. We should have picked Shreyas Iyer ahead of him. He is good vs spin and in rotating strike.
 
Why are indians giving up? You guys have a gun lower middle order. If these two stay for a bit, 150 is on and game is on.
 
Even Afghanistan must be fancying their chances against India, and why not?
 
It's got nothing to do with fatigue.

Indians just looked so nervous even before the start of this game....the pressure of a virtual knockout has got to them.
 
This has been as listless cricket from India as I have seen for a long time. pathetic batting

14 of the last 18 matches played here won by team bowling first....but still India played terribly, should have adjusted to the pitch
 
I've actually been impressed by India's batting so far. Good application of defensive technique to get through a difficult passage of play in the innings.
 
Game is still evenly poised btw, Ashwin could run riot on this pitch.....oh wait.
