Pitch in sharjah is bit slow yesterday two champion teams made around 50 in PP.

35/0 is pakistan ceiling with this pair.
 
Australia/England would have scored 60-70 runs by now. Slow batting will cost us against Australia.

Rizwan and Babar’s position is secure. They can do whatever they like, however they like!
 
I have a feeling that Pakistan will be "WAY TOO OVER CAUTIOUS" in the powerplays during the Semi. And that self imposed pressure could hit back with 25 runs on the board after 6 overs and both openers back in the dugout.

This is slow and super tentative approach will slowly but surely keep pushing you back and back against the wall.

We must try to break the shackles.
 
Rizwan's unwillingness to score through off side will start to trouble him very soon
 
Once again Fakhar has to start his innings against Spin. How scare they are to let him open even in a outing agsinst minnows just shows there insecurity
 
Pathetic batting. looks like our performance getting worse after India match.
 
This approach to the powerplay is going to bite us in the *** against better teams. All it needs is one wicket and the pressure is on.

Pakistan need to find a better approach to the powerplay, probs a bit too late now but winning all 4 games uptill now shouldn't stop you from analysing areas of weakness.

Saqlain is way defensive coach. Why can't he played Nawaz in place of Hasan? Hasan is out of form and weakest link on our bowling.

They have already locked themselves into a shell of a self imposed pressure for no reason against Scotland.
How the hell are they going to play against Starc?

I am sure Australian watching this game, will be getting all pumped up by this timid approach. And they will be ready to eat our openers alive.
 
Just have some fun and let us fans also see some nice hitting, and it comes off or not don't even matter much.
 
Rizwan will get trapped by better bowlers just by bowling on off. Babar is too cautious to go big. Not looking good for semis against Starc and co. Asif will not save us against good sides.

Yes and australia will take us easy and we will show them our fire from nowhere under the lights.
 
England would be better opposition than Australia. Australia is just way too better than us.
 
You guys are overreacting again. We all know that this is Babar and Rizwan's game and they have played like to this from the beginning and it has worked for us. It will work again.
 
No intent whatsoever. Same issues have cropped up, with no rotation of strike.

Scotland bowling has been nothing special.
 
Fakhar can't bat on wickets where the ball does not come on to the bat. I can see why the selectors originally discarded him citing his record in the UAE
 
Want to see 120 runs blasted from the next 10 overs to make up for this poos performance.
 
Dreadful innings from Fakhar. The pitch doesn't excuse horrendous shot selection and an inability to rotate the strike.
 
Fakhar looks off colour after the practise games, Haider Ali should be in his place for the Semi, but will not happen, especially now they not given him any games
 
Hopefully Ramiz will not keep Saqlain as coach, This guy is way too defensive. Wasted 5 matches to choose right combination.

His technique means that he is virtually incapable of doing anything with deliveries pitched on off-middle stump line.

I would consider Haider Ali now.

Reshuffle the batting order to:

Babar Azam
Mohammad Rizwan
Haider Ali
Shoaib Malik
Mohammad Hafeez
Asif Ali

They must already be ruing the decision of not giving haider couple of games. Clueless and insecure leadership from babar. Haider is a good player of spin unlike Fakhar he can rotate strike and go big as well. With fakhar's poor form he could have come in handy
 
140 should be a match winning score. It's a difficult pitch.

This batting will not be able to bail us out against Australia. Fakher and Hasan are pathetic players that should not be in the team at all but our defensive approach of playing the winning combination will cost us.
 
Zaman's confidence is now in dust.

I don't think he is ready to perform good in the Semis.

This timid approach in the powerplays is sending some pretty bad vibes down to the batting line.
 
Greeves has bowled quite a lot of short balls. The batters have not been able to get under neath to hit it. Ball is indeed staying low
 
To be honest, I am not confident of Pakistan's chances against Australia after witnessing this meek start against Namibia and Scotland. Also out of form players being retained just because of winning combination is going to cost us big time.
 
Many Posters seem to have no cricket sense and panicking unnecessarily. The pitch insemi will allow for better stroke play as well after pace from Aussie bowlers will help our batters

Everyone complaining about pak batting we new this from the start of the tournament, our strength is the bowling and then chasing down at a steady rate not power hitting , we have been playing to our strenghts unfortunately we don't have the power hitters apart from asif Ali
 
Hafeez looks like out of gas. Won't be clearing the boundary.
 
This obsession with not changing the 11 is really annoying and will cost us. What have you got to gain from not resting Shaheen. Fakhar is clearly out of form wouldn’t hurt to put Haider Ali in. Why bother even flying out a squad of 15 or however many there are. I think we need to attach Aussies with spin and this would have been perfect opportunity to see Nawaz, see how much spin how threatening he might be on these pitches. Why can’t we just think a little outside the box sometimes.

You can't expect miracles from bowling all the time. Also Aus is a far better side and bigger challenge for our bowling. We should be ready for big chase or big target

I agree we should be , but right now we are playing Scotland and we have to win this match to make sure we will finish top. The game plan at the moment seems to be working and a 150 160 score will be a winning target, after that then we can decide on our strategy for aus or england or whoever.

Hassan is also going to be a big liability. He will get treated like Bilawal Bhatti by Maxwell in t20 wc.
