Yeah Babak should’ve been there for sure in the T20 & ODI team. Rashid khan should not be there. The guy played 90% of games in associate tournaments and/or against associate nations. Come on!
Well if a player has been in the top t20 rankings for a considerable period in the given decade, then there is no reason why he should not be in the team of that decade. I am not talking about someone who barely made it to the top 10 list for 5 or 6 months, i am talking about a batsman who has been ranked number 1 for a period of 3 years (2018, 2019, 2020) which constitutes 30% of this decade! let alone his inclusion in top 10.
Secondly, your point on when he debuted again doesn't make sense. Going by that logic, even Bumrah and Rashid Khan should not be in the team as they debuted in 2016 and 2015 respectively. Why not pick someone who has given half decent performance but has played the whole decade instead?
Your point on position in the team makes sense. For #3 position, i would myself pick Kohli over Babar anyday, however, its Aaron Finch who is placed at #3 in the list and that guy has hardly played 2-3 matches at #3. So if you already have 2 openers, you dont need Aaron Finch.
And if its about the impact of the player, why not include Shahid Afridi in the list? He may have negligible performances in the current decade but on his day he could have outbowled and/or outbatted any player in the world.
Your logics actually speak more against you than they do for you.

Care to explain about rashid khan and dhonis inclusion or is it that only icc knows. Icc must have consulted you about babars inclusion only and left the rest of the work to other arm chair experts.

They have taken IPL performances into consideration because T20I performances alone can be misleading. Most teams rest key players frequently in bilateral T20Is.

IPL has achieved parity with T20Is. In fact, it is better than bilateral T20Is and the highest form of T20 cricket in the game along with the WT20.
In my opinion, IPL stats deserve their own category because they should not be clubbed together with the stats of other T20 leagues. IPL is a completely different beast.

But why IPL stats are being considered for an international awards and teams of last decade? ICC can just do one for IPL and one for T20I then. You know as well IPL stats right now is not added to the T20I stats. This is just misleading. You can't just consider IPL performances as T20Is when the Cricket we know right now have different stats.

Still PCB plays cricket under an organisation controlled and dictated by India, may be PCB should look to come out of ICC and make its own cricket organisation. That would be better Isnt it ? A team which isnt in top 5 , cant keep its star players and manage them properly will always criticise others and blame others instead of instrospecting. Its a sign of failures. The fact is that PAK team has been in shambles for the last 10 yrs with always some new batting or bowling talent hyped nd failing, same with the coaches. And then u expect Pak players to be selected in ICC teams. Its sheer foolishness.

You are conflating Gul’s success in T20s from 2007 to 2009 with the post 2010 period.
Gul has been irrelevant since 2013 now.

As explained already, the big teams rarely play their full-strength side in bilateral T20I which is why T20I stats are somewhat misleading. Only small teams like Pakistan regularly play their full-strength side.
Moreover, associate nations like Afghanistan do not get enough matches against the major teams. That is why a brilliant T20 bowler like Rashid hasn’t had the opportunity to showcase his skills.
As a result, you cannot pick someone like Imad or Badree ahead of him because it is not his fault that Afghanistan don’t get to play bigger teams. The way he has bowled to world class batsmen in IPL for years shows his quality.
ICC did the right thing to include IPL performances but they should also explicitly clarify by stating that IPL performances will also be considered on par with T20I performances.

Gul has done very little in this decade. He was finished by 2012-13. Hafeez has had just two great periods - 2012-13 and 2019.
