Pakistan U19 will take on Scotland U19 in their second Group ‘C’ match of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare on Monday. The first ball of the match will be bowled at 9.30am local time, with the toss taking place at 9am.

The match will be broadcast live on PTV Sports and Geo Super in Pakistan, while it will be live-streamed on Myco, Tamasha, ARY ZAP and Tapmad across the country.

Pakistan, who recently won the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai and the tri-series in Zimbabwe, did not have the best of starts as they lost to England by 37 runs in their first group fixture at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare on Friday. For Pakistan, captain Farhan Yousaf scored 65, while Ahmed Hussain bagged three wickets.

On a head-to-head basis, Pakistan and Scotland have featured in three matches – all at the ICC U19 World Cup with Pakistan emerging victorious on each occasion. The two sides last met during the ICC U19 World Cup 2020 in South Africa, where Pakistan defeated Scotland by seven wickets.

Earlier today, Pakistan squad took part in a training session at Old Hararians, where they underwent fielding drills and net sessions under the coaching staff led by Shahid Anwar.

Bowling coach Rao Iftikhar Anjum, while talking to PCB Digital ahead of the second match said:

“The previous match result was disappointing for us because we had prepared extensively for the World Cup over the last six months and had been performing well in the Asia Cup and the tri-series.

“The players and coaches had a productive meeting yesterday and we have prepared well for tomorrow’s match. We are hopeful of delivering strong performances and our mindset remains positive.

“We conceded around 200 runs and while the bowling was not poor overall, we have discussed areas where we can improve and have planned accordingly.

“The players are mentally strong and very positive. While they were disappointed with the previous result, they understand that such things happen in cricket. The key is how you bounce back and the players are ready for that.”

15-member squad:

Farhan Yousaf (captain), Usman Khan (vice-captain), Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hasan Baloch, Ali Raza, Daniyal Ali Khan, Hamza Zahoor (wk), Huzaifa Ahsan, Momin Qamar, Mohammad Sayyam, Mohammad Shayan (wk), Niqab Shafiq, Sameer Minhas and Umar Zaib

Non-traveling reserves:

Abdul Qadir, Farhanullah, Hassan Khan, Ibtisam Azhar and Mohammad Huzaifa

Two changes in Playing XI

Something shady about this game imo ... 33/2 in 9 .
Can they get over 150 ?

This is a great experience for teenaged Scottish batsmen to face 25 year old bowlers. Will prepare them for FC cricket

Not shady. Just a big skills gap.

Majority of u19 Scotland team is born in Scotland, but a large section of senior team was born outside Scotland.

Watch the P19 bowling carefully & batting when they chase .Something is not kosher , a hunch basically .
84/4 in 24

i swear despite Momins two wickets Huffaiza is miles better bowler . This guy is bowing all sorts half trackers etc when there is so much in the wicket

I appreciate the effort you make studying young Pakistani male faces and physiques.

But let us enjoy the match now you have made your dumb point.
Nah someone crying about same thing in india vs Bangladesh match thread. But I'm making valid point , age fraud is real thing in pakistan.

:klopp :kp

Why you're burning just because I exposed these age fudgers :klopp :kp
You really know there age, may be they were born at your home and you were there at the time of their birth?

Must be some sort of record , entire Pak U19 team born in one house in India.

Indian chachus playing was initially claimed by @Hellion since he knows Indian team we can accept his opinion on it.

You can accept my opinion even on Pakistanis age fudging. It's actually easier to trace Pakistani cricketers since their social media accounts are easier to find.

Not to mention PCB themselves help with the fudging by providing them new profiles :)

Let's see the evidence for these players based on their social media.

Pakistani chachu are playing and were already Played. This is normal thing in Pakistan. :klopp :kp
I know you guys were super friendly in Aman ki Asha era (The era in which these Pak U19 chachus were born at your home) hence you allowed so many Pak people with various ethnic backgrounds to stay at your home but remember AIDS was and is still incurable.

Babar , Shaheen etc are age fudger , or past player's ki bate na karo to better hai. :klopp :kp

This Momin Qamar is a real talent. Not an age fudger like most of the other guys. He should improve rapidly over the years if he has the right guidance/work ethic.

I am sure mohammed huffaiza is a better talent than him but never got a chance

Scottish kids are trying hard here. Hopefully they can put up a good fight. I am supporting them in this match. Some of them play for my former club.

Apart from Minhas Pak batting isn't great. If they can take him then Scotland have a chance.

Is he also a left arm wrist spinner?
Momin, Farhan Yousuf and that Huzaifa are the only ones in this squad who are pretty much their ages on paper. Can't confirm for all but the pacers and Sameer are definitely older than their stated ages and their development should be fast tracked for any hope.

Ali raza is the fastest pacer in the tournament by far and he even clocked at 148 ks in PSL.

He is an exciting talent and can serve Pakistan for long time if he is developed properly

BTW this Pak U19 bowling unit has bowled the opposition all out in every match they have played even the one they lost.

They give away 30 odd runs too many. I don't know what will happen if Sameer didn't click today.
Depends on the bowling I suppose Pakistan should be able to handle it.

Scotland batted ok in the end. Considering these boys haven't played much cricket and facing a very good bowling attack for this level who have FC experience they managed to do ok.

Easy win on the cards for Pakistani boys who seem to have recovered from early thrashing they received.

yes he is left arm chinaman and is in reserves i have seen him bowl even in last world cup carbon copy of kuldeep

This Baloch guy looks so timid and he was second or first run scorer in under 19s shows what talent we have

Pakistani batting is hopeless at any level. U-19,U-17,U10. They are pathetic at every level.
It seems like they all idolize misbah.
Only sameer minhas is a bright prospect.

Baloch should play his natural game if he has one and as i am typing he is bowled really poor batting team this is absolute no feet movement so sad to see at this level

It's because all the PAK bowlers are bowling 145 kph. PAK has the fastest pace attack at all levels of cricket

dodgy LB that was but yes game is over for sure. Unlucky Pak maybe next world cup find some batters

Scotland deserve a lot of credit out there most of these kids will never have played anyone at the level they are facing today and they are showing up really well. Come on Scotland! Let's win this!

Ahmed Hussain has a strong case of being the worst batter I have ever seen in cricket (Men's cricket only).

The aesthetic of the kit, the batting style, the fidgety nature, the lack of power, & inability to play any convincing shot is just on another level.

Lol these batsmen are pathetic. They should stop playing cricket and play gulli danda instead.
It's torture to watch them bat.

i agree no doubt but i think he is one of the consistent ones for sure what i have followed off him and he has bowled well.

Correct me if i am wrong doesnt he remind us of a left handed younis khan?

Looks like these guys playing cricket for the first time how are they going to win a match if they can't hit boundaries againt a minnow cricketing nation sarfraz saab has put frighteners on the young guys let them play their game

Unearthening the next Scotbabars!!

I called it from the first game I saw him. He's is so terrible and some generous here thinks he a good batsmen. The likes of Farhan and huzifa should be batting ahead of him and him batting ahead of them will cost us games which genius decided to bat him at 4?

As I said in one of my earlier posts his batting potential or ability isn't better than most no 9s in international cricket if I am being generous.

No Younis had far more ability. I have watched every game from Asia cup till now and haven't seen him time the ball properly, not even once.

To be honest if you take out Minhas from this team than the batting unit is below any associate level. May be they on par with Tanzania in batting.

He should be used as an opener on a dangerous pitch to protect Sameer. That's the only use he has. In middle order he just chokes the innings.

The run rate should not apply as it's very hard for teams to have a two-way or three-way tie in this group due to the rained out match.

Nah, YK was different and always had a lot of powerful strokes. It's not about being consistent, it's about having natural talent or ability to bat. He may go one and become the greatest batter of this generation in the future but at the moment he just looks like a liability in the middle order. Also, players like him should not be encouraged because this is potentially the pipeline of our cricket team, other teams have power hitters in the middle order but we have this style of archaic players.
