• Points Carry Forward: Teams carried forward points, wins, and Net Run Rate (NRR) from their matches against other teams that also advanced to the Super Six stage.
• Super Six Matches: Teams from Group A played opponents from Group D, and Group B teams played Group C teams. Each team played two matches in this stage.
• Knockouts: The top two teams from each Super Six group advanced to the semi-finals.
• Placement Matches: The bottom team from each group played placement matches to determine positions 13-16.

We did draw tests. Not holding multiple records for consecutive losses.

I think quality overrode the format's weakness during 1999 WC.

Anyway, I think 2015 WC had the best format.

India played its first Test in 1932, and it took us 20 years and 24 Tests to register our first Test win. Bangladesh had to wait 5 years and 34 Tests for their first win. Now you can calculate how many years India took to shed its minnow tag.

Banglas started their test journey in 2007, winning first in 2007 about the same time of 7 years.

Only a fool or biased view would consider Indian & Bangla teams started with same circumstances, however feel free to go ahead and fill your boots with the hate and trolling if that's the aim.

It is a dumb format regardless who goes to semis or not. It makes no sense whatsoever. There is no need to take any legitimate criticism of cricket and turn it into India Pakistan Bangladesh debate
