ICC Men's U19 World Cup 2026: Pakistan U19 vs India U19 | Match 38 | Harare | February 1 | Pre-Match Discussion

India had a batter during Bangladesh game who played tuk tuk but then batted well to get them a good score. Can't remember his name, he played old school cricket and seemed mature. Many senior players don't even have the temperament to bat long anymore, but this kid dug in well.

He is Kundu. India's next Rishabh Pant. he also thrashed both Australia and England in their own places. Also made 200 in the recent asia cup in one of the innings. Regardless of the result little bit of polishing by proper coaches instead of tulla coach Joshi they will come good. vaibhav shouldn't be playing this , Mhatre shouldn't be playing this either. Once you take the next step going back one step behind is not ideal. India has 1000s of talents at their disposal. They are just taking the spot of other kids. Winning U19 mean little. India has reached 5 finals in a row. winning 2 of them. Hardly any hype for these things. Many cricket fan won't even know this.

Yeah that's right Kundu..I was quite impressed by him.

You are right it doesn't mean a huge amount but is good experience for the kids and being u-19 champions can help them stand out amongst their peers.

India should be reaching finals at this level as a default. Even Pakistan and Bangladesh should be there but both countries don't do as well as they should. Coz SENA countries don't really take it too serious and have smaller talent pool at age group.

Pakistan U19 are all geared up to take on India in their final Super Six fixture of the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup. Pakistan will face arch-rivals India at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Sunday, 1 February with the first ball scheduled to be bowled at 9.30am local time.

The last time two sides met was during the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup final, where Pakistan defeated India by 191 runs to clinch the title at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Sameer Minhas scored 172 runs while right-arm fast Ali Raza bagged four wickets.

Pakistan, who currently have four points and are placed third in Group 2 of the Super Six stage, need to defeat India by a healthy margin to secure a spot in the semi-finals. England sit at the top of the table with six points and are currently playing New Zealand at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

After arriving in Bulawayo from Harare on Wednesday afternoon, Pakistan took a day off before participating in a scenario-based practice game at the Bulawayo Athletic Club on Friday. The players were assigned specific targets by the coaching staff led by head coach Shahid Anwar.

Pakistan will also take part in a training session at the same venue on Saturday.

Usman Khan, who has scored 122 runs from four matches in the ongoing mega event, which included a half-century while talking to PCB Digital said:

“Our preparations have been very good. The scenario-based match was of high quality and it closely reflected actual match conditions.

“In scenario-based matches, batters are given specific targets to score as many runs as possible, while similar objectives are set for everyone, which helps us prepare better. Our fielding unit has also been very impressive.

“Before the tournament, we held several camps in Multan where a strong focus was placed on fielding. We had productive sessions there and as a result the team has improved a lot in this department.

“Our next match is against India, which is very important as there is a semi-final at stake. We have clear plans for every match and we put in a lot of hard work accordingly. We will try to perform well in the next game to qualify for the next stage.”

Australia has been good. Last time their fast bowling wsa very exciting. One of the guy made debut against in the first T20I. Beardman

Match is-49/51 evenly poised , India has extremely good batting unit and Pak has extremely good bowling unit , India bowling is avg and Pak batting is trash apart from Sameer but that guy can single-handedly win you a match and given that India bowling attack is just avg Pak might have a slight advantage here but to win and qualify for semi final is almost impossible for Pak team.

England juat destroyed kiwis so i make it we are out before we even play the match

Possible but difficult.

Not losing badly to England was important, even if they scored 10-15 more runs that they, it would have helped. The stupid manner in which Ali Raza was runout in that match may cost Pak the tournament place if they win against India but go out on a fraction of a decimal.

If we lose the toss and India bats we are basically out.

Will be interesting if we win the toss whether boys go just for a normal score or go gung ho to try and get a massive one.

Pakistan also brought in a part time spinner and I think he sent for 20 runs.

This is not the old Pakistan of the learn era.

This is the Agha ji’s new Pakistani where every player aspires to hit it out of the park like Sahebzada Farhan

Time to teach those indian arrogant obnoxious guys another lesson if they have forgotten that asia Cup final lesson.

They are so unlikable just like their senior team.
