When Shehzad was 18+ he traveled with Pakistan Senior team to Nz and scored a freaking ton overseas against Adam Miline, Southee and that Hamish named bowler. If this is not the epitome of talent then I don't know what is  he later then played the u-19 WC as well where Hammad scored against you lot to help us reach the Semis.

Masood and Fayyaz, albeit their brilliant temperament and performance, cannot be bracketed with Selfie boy as the former two are playing in favorable conditions in Asia. Their innings was good and PCB should nurture these blokes to make them into fine future batsmen.

P.S. The hype and reality of Shehzad, Anwar, Amin has nothing to do with how they're international careers have panned out. On pure cricketing terms they are head and shoulders about the current lot when compared to their own U-19 playing days.

Ishant Sharma was owning Ponting in his own home. Sreesanth made Kallis look like a tailender with a breathtaking spell. Irfan Pathan and Balaji were wreaking havoc against the Pakistan team in their own home. Vinod Kambli looked for some time that he would become the best batsman in the world then. One performance does not make a career.

I just saw the highlights of Shehzad in a t20 match against NZ in the same country he made a hundred in the past. He was glued like a statue to the crease without any foot movement and was hacking the balls away to the midwicket. He struggles to rotate strike and has only 2 gears to his game. I would not call him talented. You need to perform for a considerable period to earn that tag and that includes every technical aspect of the game plus temperament, clutch ability, versatility, etc. Just having a few good matches or so doesn't make one guy a talented player.

Anyway my point is that if Shehzad was talented at that level, so are these guys (Umair, Salman, Mohsin, Sameen, etc.)..

Oh baba

Irfan pathan and Ishant were genuine talents too at U19 level.

I havent seen Masood bat but none other is as talented as Shezzy, U. Akmal or Amin at U19 level. YEs they fell away but here we are just talking abt their U19 days

What was the thinking behind take just two seamers to the WC and one of them as an all-rounder.

They have not done the homework at all, should have opned with spin. Already approaching 50 huh

WI running away with the game.

So a BD vs WI SF? I think Pakistan is the better of the two sides but the top order failed today

easy there, only bad captaincy so far, collapse on

I'm afraid that this bunch of gritty cricketers might give a dose of reality check to our youngsta beauties. We are yet to face a difficult team this tournament and we have just beaten Ireland, Nepal, NZ and Namibia, all of whom are poor teams.

I won't be surprised if our overrated bowlers are taken to the cleaners in the final by these Pak batsmen:sree

But we did beat them in warm ups :|

pakistan just need an opening to run through this fragile middle order

Hayat looks fairly ordinary. Don't know what could have been the reason for his sudden call-up.
