We cannot have Imam and Abdullah opening for us, it’s a recipe for disaster.

I know Fakhar cannot touch the ball to save his life right now, but we need to back him to come good and he is the only one who can get ahead of the RR in the powerplay.

Babar needs to fix this issue asap, Imam is doing nothing but put pressure on the middle-order.

Naseem Shah has a strike rate of 21, which means he takes a wicket every 21 balls. The most of any player since Naseem Shah debuted.

Why doesn't Pakistan produce any quality spinners these days?
Hard to imagine this from a country that has produced the likes of Abdul Qadir, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed, Danish Kaneria and Shahid Afridi in the past. I won't name Ajmal as he got banned.

Don't you have spin-friendly pitches in Pak any more?
 
Dont know if Shreyas has digressed as a batsman.
His stance is more open, he does not lean more, seems to just throw his hands and not move his feet.
this is typical IPL symptoms....this wont stand him in good stead in bouncy Aus and Saf conditions

Anyway. despite inadequacy in the bowling line up the blame squarely lies on Pakistan batting. I am not sure any team got bowled under 200 at Ahmedabad in recent times other than some teams. New pitch is a good batting pitch generally.

Now when you do respond, just answer my genuine question, this is the 5th time I am asking Doctor - if you believe Pakistan are a rubbish team, Babar and Rizwan are overrated to the point they deserve your daily vitriol, and you know the game is lost - why do you keep watching and commentating on Pakistan games?

Worst thing overall from Pakistan is captaincy. Pakistan's batting was always up and down but what makes a die hard Pakistani fan lose patience and optimism is the defensive field placings and bowler rotations.

If not winning by 10 wickets was humiliating enough for India, then not winning in under 20 overs is utter condemnation.

Bro, The team that we sent for emerging Asia cup including players like saim, Haris, Omair bin aziz, Abass afridi, tayyab tahir(He was the only senior) etc, Basically players with little to no international exposure. Thing is they all played attacking cricket because the captain is attacking, and every one was rotated the entire bench.

They should play domestic and be groomed later, but we don't do that.

With us it's ooooooooo averages 😂😂. Imagine if we applied this concept on rohit when he failed in the middle order during his early days or said to santh jaysuria: Listen bro, you need a 50+ average to play.

Like averages are overrated, anyone can get to a 50+ average if they nudge and play risk free against 2nd string teams.

The problem is the captain who never tries anything new and expect Abdullah and saud to be some miracle workers even though they had zero match practise for afg series or nepal( Deapite being the 2 best test batsmen atm) and the management where stats and no 1 rankings are preferred over attacking cricket and winning cups.

This captain is also notorious for playing his friends. People like Imam, Shadab and Nawaz would have been long dropped had they not been buddies with Babar since u19 days.
 
Next up we are facing Australia at Bengaluru a high scoring ground don't think we can't win that one either

Two things. Bowlers waste energy on short ball. And also they don't use spinners against him meaning Rohit will enjoy pace. He is a good percentage cricketer. He scored against full strength SA bowling chasing a reasonably big total with a 100.
 
Today Virat thought target is high and why he should always try to win matches against Pak.. let the boys have some practice of winning

Another team looked like lost infants in a bazaar.

Nature of the domestic wickets especially in the last 10-15 years. The Pakistani wickets in domestic cricket especially in Punjab have aided low bounce medium pacers.

We ended up producing more trundlers and spinners basically didn't bowl more than 5-6 overs in an innings
