Yuvraj was the Man of the series / Player of the tournament during the 2011 WC, if I am not wrong.Sometimes the most deserved player doesn't get the man of the tournament.
For example, Stokes and Yuvraj should have been the man of tournaments for 2019 and 2011 World Cup respectively but they didn't got that award.

Last WC, Shakib scored over 600 runs from No. 3, batted 8 innings, with a lowest of 41, rest 6 were 50+ including two hundreds. Then took 11 wickets including one 5for…..
And Ken Williamson won MoS - probably he himself was more ashamed than ICC. Therefore, I don’t think “prediction” is safe here.

Kohli was always be a contender. KL Rahul looked in great touch but I don't think that we are going to see him come in to bat so early in most of the matches so he won't have the chance to face the number of balls that he did today. Jaded would always be taking wickets in such conditions but not all Indian pitches will have these conditions.Early entries from Bharat :
KL Rahul
Jadeja
Kohli

I reckon rather than a consistent run, we will show a hot and cold run from him.Rohit Sharma today showed his class with a blistering century. He would be a real candidate for the man of the tournament.
de Kock missed out today, my number one pick is Rohit Sharma. My updated Top 5 :-
1. Jasprit Bumrah
2. Rohit Sharma
3. Mohammad Rizwan
4. Quinton de Kock

Santner and Sharma are very good picks, not sure about the other 3.Remains unchanged after tonight’s match.
Madushanka is now the joint leading wicket-taker in the tournament after his 4 wickets today against Netherlands.

Ben Stokes getting robbed of the Player of the Tournament award was an absolute joke.Last WC, Shakib scored over 600 runs from No. 3, batted 8 innings, with a lowest of 41, rest 6 were 50+ including two hundreds. Then took 11 wickets including one 5for…..

Zampa. He's holding that bowling attack together with Starc and Cummins struggling at various times and without a proper 2nd spinner. If Australia wins the cup, Maxwell takes it easily.
Shami and Zampa as wellRohit Sharma
Virat Kohli
Ravindra Jadeja
Jasprit Bumrah
Quinton de kock
Aiden Markram
Heinrich Klaasen
Marco Jansen
Rachin Ravindra
Glenn Maxwell
These are the strong contenders.
Shami and Zampa as well
Shami even though has played fewer games, is already on the top 5 wicket takers.
Kohli and Shami are in the race.
Qdk and Zampa also there.
Rachin is out.
Shami will be the MOT if he can take 5fer in the final. It will probably be Kohli. He is averaging over 100 in this WC. Also, he has 711 runs in this WC (QDK has 591 runs).
Shami will be the MOT if he can take 5fer in the final.
Rohit Sharma, it should be. But it most likely won't be, because stats matter more apparently
Can't grudge Virat or Shami, if either get it though.
Assuming India win of course![]()
His demoralizing effect on the bowlers and pumping the RR early has allowed Virat to relax and play the long innings without much pressure. I mean, he still ahs to get those runs and not taking anything away from Kohli, but he's been allowed this luxury thanks to Rohit.I kind of agree with you.
Batting BA bowling is a subjective debate but if it has to be a batter than Sharma’s contribution is up there with Kohli’s. He could have also been sitting on 700 runs right now given the form that he is in. But he’s putting the team first maintaining a SR of 120 and still has all these runs. He’s been ridiculously good
