"Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and I say openly that this is present government is constructed on the basis of Forms 47. That PTI had the more votes, seats and legitimacy": Miftah Ismail

I trust you have competence and financial integrity; I also expected you to show intellectual honesty and moral courage. But you elected not to. You know neither I nor

S. Khaqan Abbasi was guilty of any financial corruption. Asad Umer knew it; as Engro Chairman he had bid a much higher price for this terminal. Imran Khan knew it. Yet your leader and party chose to persecute us and all of you stood silently. Even today you couldn’t bring yourself to say you guys were wrong and should never have done it. Introspection and self-criticism is not easy, but it is necessary.

Today your party is under the hammer. Some of which you brought onto yourselves by riding the shoulders of the establishment and curtailing political space for all political actors. And you know it, but won’t admit it.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and I say openly that this is present government is constructed on the basis of Forms 47. That PTI had the more votes, seats and legitimacy. We have openly said that the people involved in the May 9 attacks must only be prosecuted and not persecuted, cases of under-trial prisoners should be resolved forthwith and that women prisoners, who are entitled to bail under our laws, should be given bail.

I have ridiculed on tv the Iddat case and the ToshaKhana asset mis-declaration case. But I cannot in good conscience say that deliberate undervaluation of ToshaKhana watches was not corrupt or giving Baharia Town £190 million in exchange for certain gifts was anything but corrupt. I think in your heart you too agree to this.

I and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have raised our voices and told the truth. Have you?

You want a Naya Pakistan? Start with saying the 2014 Dharna was wrong and anti-democratic. Say that kicking out Mian Nawaz Sharif for not taking Director’s fees was wrong. Say jailing many innocent PMLN and PPP leaders was wrong. Before you give sermons to others about condemning oppression, admit to your part in oppressing others.

You want the establishment to not be part of politics? Stop saying you will only talk to them. Talk to your political opponents. Think of them as your political adversaries and not your enemies. When you try to rob them of their legitimacy, you destroy your own space.

Peaceful protests are your right. Absolutely; but you guys are no longer the ladlas. Others have taken that spot. So engage in peaceful protests and don’t think you can now get away with what you could in the past.

Yours is by far the biggest political party in Pakistan. Keep looking only to the people of Pakistan. Don’t look for shortcuts again. Power can come and go. But honour once lost cannot be regained.

Allah says in Surah e Ash-Sharh

“So, surely with hardship comes ease. Surely with that hardship comes more ease. So once you have fulfilled your duty, strive in devotion. Turning to your Lord alone with hope.”

May Allah guide us all and eases our hardships.
The worst thing that could happen to someone is to be falsely accused of a crime & have to go through character assassination campaigns & the hardships of trials.
But Miftah Bhai, you didn’t raise a voice for thousands falsely accused/imprisoned/tortured post 9th may as well.

After the elections, they were saying that the government has been formed fairly, now they are saying that due to Form 47 PTI's mandate has been stolen. It seems like their deal with the establishment didn't work out.

Continuous political chaos and uncertainty will only serve the Establishment of Pakistan.

Everyone knows that recent election was probably the most rigged elections ever in the history of Pakistan.

Over 75% of the population had came out to practice their democratic rights despite authoritarian regime and dictator trying their best to keep candidates out of election.

Sense and understanding of democracy is alive among Pakistani, sense of fighting back when mandate is stolen is lacking.

Yep they masses on their own can't assemble against this injustice as they do in other countries.

Munir talked about the constitution yesterday and threatened people not to break the constitution. This guy is a reportedly a Haifz and he has broken his oath but he has people beaten, kidnapped and killed. He stole an election and openly says that IK won't come out of prison. We are in living in the worst of times but civilian rule is as close as its ever been. PKs agree that the Generals are the problem and fools like me that thought they were honest and patriotic have been slapped with a painful lesson

Kakar has confessed about rigging in elections, is there anyone to take notice now?

PTI reacts to Anwaarul Haq Kakar’s ‘Form 47’ remarks

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday termed the remarks of former caretaker prime minister (PM) Anwaarul Haq Kakar regarding ‘Form 47’ a ‘confession’ of alleged rigging in general elections 2024, ARY News reported.

Anwaarul Haq Kakar and PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi had a heated exchange over the wheat import scandal, during which the former premier warned that if he were to “spill the beans about Form-47, the party would have nowhere to hide”.

Abbasi was confronted for pinning the blame for the wheat scandal on Kakar’s tenure as caretaker premier during an interview with a news channel. “Abbasi said that he was merely speaking the truth in the TV programme,” the sources said.

akar upped the ante by hinting at dropping a bombshell regarding Form-47, insinuating that it “would leave the PML-N red-faced”.

The statement hints at possible tampering in Form-47, a veiled reference to allegations also made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), whose candidates allege rigging in the Feb 8 general elections.

Reacting to the statement, PTI leader Raja Basharat said that the former prime minister’s statement on Form 47 is an “admission of guilt”.

“Kakar, who was appointed to conduct transparent elections, is himself threatening the PML-N”, he said, lambasting the authorities’ failure over wheat import.

Well there is a CJP in PK to protect the constitution but this CJP is only interested in extentions and protecting criminals. Remember @Mamoon told us Qazi had the chance to take revenge on IK, well he did that and simultaneously the crook took revenge on PK. But the irony is that just like Bajwa he will have to hide under a purdah for the rest of his life for his criminality.

No wonder then why we call Pakistan a banana republic, no progress until we fix up this mess

There was always something fishy about these elections. Form 45s and form 47s were always controversial thing in these elections but a former caretaker prime minister saying something like this is always something that you would want to notice seriously. I know the judiciary is not going to do anything about it and we know the reasons for this ignorance. Corruption is in the roots of this country.

Lol, He is trying his best to get an extension

CJP Isa questions legal ambiguity of term 'Form-47'

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa raised a query regarding the definition and legal term used for "Form-47" during a hearing on an electoral dispute involving Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Azhar Qayyum Nahra in the NA-81 constituency.

At the outset of the hearing, Ahsan Bhoon, the counsel for Nara, argued that his client was declared successful after a recount and had approached the Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) to challenge the administrative officer's ruling.

On April 4, Justice Shahid Karim of the LHC suspended the notification declaring PML-N leader Azhar Qayyum victorious from Constituency NA-81, Gujranwala.

The ruling occurred during a hearing on a petition filed by Bilal Ijaz Chaudhry of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), who raised concerns over the election results.

Today at the hearing, Advocate Bhoon informed the court that the returning officer issued Form 47 on February 9.

To which CJP queried, "What is Form-47, and what term is used in the law for it?"

"Form-47 is the preliminary result, and the final result is issued on Form 48. Legally, Form-47 is termed the provisional result," Advocate Bhoon replied.

He added that the returning officer issued Form-48 for the constituency on February 11.

Form-48 is crucial in the preparation of election results as it includes the total number of votes cast for each candidate in a specific constituency.

"Can the Election Commission declare someone a winner and then change its decision? Indeed, the returning officer should have conducted a recount based on your request," Justice Aqeel Abbasi remarked.

On April 26, ECP restored victory notification of PTI’s Chaudhry Bilal Ejaz as MNA from NA-81, Gujranwala.

Bilal Ejaz won the general elections with a clear margin of 8,000 votes but lost in a controversial recount.

The ECP issued the victory notification pursuant to orders passed by the LHC.

On April 4, LHC nullified the victory notification of PML-N leader Azhar Qayyum Nahra from NA-81 and reinstated Bilal Ejaz as a Member of the National Assembly (MNA).

The petitioner contested the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) decision, which declared Azhar Qayyum the successful candidate from NA-81.

Bilal Ejaz stated that he was originally declared the winner by a margin of 8,000 votes, but the ECP's recount illegally favoured Azhar Qayyum.

He claimed that the returning officer had reduced his vote count by 2,500 in the recount.

Bilal Ejaz argued that the ECP had no authority to order a recount after the formation of the election tribunal and requested the court to annul Azhar Qayyum’s victory notification.

According to the original results, Bilal Ejaz was declared the winner with 117,717 votes, while the PML-N candidate, Azhar Qayyum, finished as the runner-up with 109,926 votes.
