If India plays against Pakistan in the World Cup, will Indian fans come to watch?

Good luck to Pak fans trying to get a ticket. Indians will be all over the stadium.

I always see many Pak posters talk of the Mohali and as a lurker I do remember the Greenstorm threads. But why did Pakistanis see it as such a big deal. Was it the chance to play the final in Mumbai and maybe win there?

The common opinion in Pakistan was that India had orchestrated the Sri Lanka attack to avenge Mumbai. The aim was to stop Pakistan from hosting matches in the World Cup.

As a result, people saw the World Cup as a perfect opportunity to fight back. Lifting the World Cup trophy in Mumbai was the perfect redemption from Pakistani perspective - they couldn’t have asked for a better script.

Pakistan were on a roll in that tournament. We had comfortably beaten all opposition except New Zealand, a game that we lost because of Kamran dropping sitters.

There was genuine belief among the fans that India was the only team that could have stopped us in our tracks in that tournament. Had we ended the streak in Mohali, I do think the momentum would have carried us over the line against Sri Lanka in the Final.

The Mohali defeat was also very painful because we were not blown away. The pressure had got to India as well and they played poorly, but it didn’t matter in the end because we were simply awful on the day.

Ok thanks.

For me and all my friends, though Pak has been and will always be the traditional rival, by the time the SF came, we didn't have much energy left as the QF vs Aus was so emotionally draining. It's hard to understand why, now. Was recently watching a replay and couldn't get the feeling again but it was crazy at the time.

I believe the tickets have already been sold. If so Pak fans will already have many of them as well. Even if they are not sold it is not as if Indian people will be given priority. It's a first come first sold basis. As we know India will be boycotting the match or throwing us out of the tournament according to your own sources:uakmal.

Yeah, I meant, historically Indians have been better at hogging up tickets whether sold offline or online. So while the media drums up boycott, fact is Indians will want to watch the match and hopefully see us win.

...but the tickets have already been sold, right?

They should set up big screens around manchester for fans to attend. I think the whole of manchester will be green.

Die hard cricket fans don't care about country or anything at all to be honest, they don't even have good knowledge of cricket. British Indians are toxic, i hate them, i guess most were drunk when I went but pretty embarrassing.

I am sure all nationalist Indian brothers and sisters will break their television screens burn down their phones and boycott this match for all perpetuity and even uploading od highlights and publishing of score on websites will be banned in India.

If anything else happens, I am sorry I will be disappointed with Nationalists and their love of motherland.

Whatever Indians do is propaganda and upmanship. For them whatever real exists the perception should be made by them.
They will never lose this opportunity to come over 80% or more just to fill in the seats.
Situation will be more intense and volatile when the alcohol flows. Suspecting lot more sreet brawls and bashing on social media between the 2 groups. Indians will not lose an opportunity to provoke Pakistanis.

What is there to watch, India will whoop Pakistan again. Barring one flukey win in CT finals, India vs Pakistan matches have been so one sided.

Pakistan is no match to India.

India ain't no aus of the 2000s or late 1990s.

India got beaten by wi in one match and tied the other. I still believe aus can win this ongoing series. If that happens you'll find the answer to the question on whether its going to be one sided or not.
