Basically, will winning this series finalize our Indian brothers' status as the best cricket team of recent times, akin to Aussie of 2000s and WI of the 70s-80s?
They have a world cup win, invincible home record in tests, CT win, t20 WC win (Mash Allah), the only Asian team to put up a fight in South Africa and Australia in tests which other Asian teams struggled with, and good record in ODIs (again, win in SAF, good show in Aussie home)
The only blemish on their resume was no solid test series victory in a foreign country, not in Asia.
Is this their one chance?
If not them, then who do you think is the best in the world?
