I thnk its great news for BCCI. It completely undercuts the PCB argument about the imporrance of Pak-India match

For a poster who I havet tons of respect, this is wishful thinking take.

1) it will be great if PCB can completely avoid BCCI. this way BCCI can move forward with certainity. The risk of BCCI being isolated is world cricket is very low, to put mildly.

2) Pak on theother hand are afraid of getting its bluff called. Hence they are relying on creating uncertainty.

You're right the BCCI doesn't have much of an issue with what's going on. They will be fine one way or the other minus a financial hit.

The ICC on the other hand, is going to get squeezed. The other members are going to get hit and the broadcaster will take advantage of this situation to get a better deal. This is assuming they're not angered to the point of not wanting to renew their contract at all.

This is why the ICC should have stopped allowing politics into this stuff early on. They just let things happen and have now created an environment where things could get worse.
