Lets face it - many of us have a fear of insects/rodents - some will scream their head off if they come within touching distance of such species.

So here is your chance.....

None.

I love all species of life inc those known as 'creepy crawlies'.

Its strange some are afraid of spiders, amazing creatures.

Wasps can be annyoning esp if you're stung in the head while asleep. It hurts :inti

The Kardashians.

On a serious note cockroaches. They are disgusting and they are uncontrollable especially in Pakistan where we usually dont fumigate as often. Sometimes if I go to the kitchen late at night they are literally everywhere.

They are always found in the shower/bathroom when I travel in South East Asia. Not nice if they are on you but so small they cant harm you.

Not harmful but disgusting. The big ones are usually found in showers/bathrooms but it is the small ones (dont know if they are a different species or just young ones) that are really annoying because they spread to pretty much every part of the house.

Which country are these from?

Do they also crawl into your mouth when you're sleeping?

Was talking about Pakistan. Dont think they would crawl into the mouth (atleast I hope not!) but I am sure one or two small ones crawling about in the bed wont be too uncommon.

Cockroaches .. they are ugly and they scamper onto your body. Horrible things.

Bedbugs, if you've ever had an infestation you'll know, they literally live off human blood

We are quite lucky in England that we dont have many creepy crawlies but recently there has been a huge increase in the number of rats. In absolutely petrified of rats so would have to vote to get rid of them.

House flies. Don't understand their significance in any way. They should just be eliminated

Bats - so the Chinese can stop consuming them and therefore increasing the likelihood of spreading diseases. Covid might have been one of those.

Mosquitoes... besides being super annoying, diseases that are spread to people by mosquitoes include Zika virus, West Nile virus, Chikungunya virus, dengue, and malaria.

Our skin is a primary layer of defense against germs getting into our body. Mosquitoes penetrate that layer and expose us to multiple germs.

Y'know, rubbish weather all year round is a small price to pay to avoid the nightmares this thread contains so far.........

Yeah if I had a kitchen covered in cockroaches at night I'd be claiming the fire insurance within about three hours for the "pipe burst" that exploded my house.

Mice, if you live in London you know why. Everyone has had trouble and they cause diseases. I can't stand their sight, I wanted to sell our house last Ramadan when we had mice trouble. It takes months to get rid of them and you know it's just a matter of time till they make it back.

It’s a strange phenomenon in nature and perhaps beyond our understanding but if you notice, many, many of the species that daily get extinct are lovely looking birds and harmless animals etc.

And the ones that are viscous carnivore and the scary ones, hardly ever get extinct.

Why won’t snakes, hyenas, wild dogs, porcupine, coyotes, poisonous spiders, scorpions, Jelly Fish and many invasive species of plants, animals and marine life species go extinct?

If I had a choice, I would go for two.

First, crocodile/alligator/caymans.

This is because they are way too vicious, scary and unforgiving.

Second.
Perhaps pigs.
If we didn’t have them, we would be a little more relaxed in what we eat.

Obviously both of these animals must have some role to play in our nature and in the echo system that is perhaps beyond our understanding but I think life would be a little more laid back without them.

Dog's! I have always hated dog's since childhood. They are filthy and dangerous as well. Man's best friend my foot it takes a second for this creature to turn on people often killing them. Every day we hear of dog's having mauled an innocent child or even it's owner. Dog's kill more people then any other so called pet's. Other then perhaps guide dog's the rest should be put to sleep, permanently.

None as they all have their place in nature. Though I would remove some invasive species such as feral hogs in southern USA and Signal Crayfish from British waterways.

I am vehemently opposed to eliminating any life form even if I detest it.

Who am I to decide?

And if I do decide, that would make me inhuman.

Once a rottweiler bites your behind you may want to reconsider your views!!:))):)))

Will eliminate the terrestrial carnivores, like lions, tigers, crocodiles and so on. They have no use left and are a burden on the ecosystem.

Feral hogs are a huge pain, especially for farmers in Southern United States.
There is not a single farmer that will tell you that he doesn’t want to get rid of them all.

“The USDA estimates that between six and nine million feral pigs roam the United States, causing more than $2.5 billion in agricultural damage annually”

Mosquitoes - they kills millions every year in developing countries and don't actually serve a purpose in the ecosystem.

Tough to choose anyone.

Mosquitoes, Cockroaches, Rats and Stray Dogs.

May be that IS their purpose, to keep the human population in check, otherwise we would’ve been perhaps in trillions by now? With depleted natural resources and shrinking living space to live n grow food, the planet would look like hell?

Imagine, we were only 2 billion in 1902
And only in a matter of about 100 years we are now over 7 billion.

Perhaps many animals and some other species would like to wipe us out because to them, we may look like a harmful bacteria to planet earth that is fiercely spreading?

Defend Eugenics to people that have lost family members

Defend Eugenics to people that have lost family members

Many of us, almost all of us lose family members. As unfortunate and as sad as it gets, this the biggest fact of life. “Something is going to kill you!” There is no other way around it.
However, “Defend Eugenics” is not the topic of this thread.
You said, “mosquitos don’t serve any purpose in the ecosystem”.
Perhaps everything in nature has a purpose? Once you understand this concept, you should be able to say, “mosquitoes may have a purpose but we as humans don’t understand it. We only have speculations.”

No, mosquitoes don't serve a purpose or at least for now scientists have yet to find their purpose in the ecosystem, if we eliminated them then it would have almost no adverse effects on our world and would in fact save millions of lives from zika, malaria and dengae

I reduced their number by one :AR15firin

Again, theory and speculations.
We will "know" the truth only after we have done it.

There are good and bad mosquitoes!

Many other insects/creatures depend on them for food so not that great and idea to eliminate them

Pretty much every animal and insect that eats mosquitoes also has several other food sources, mosquitoues are just the Arby's of food source in the ecosystem, they're an option but not needed and aren't even that good.

None. Every animal has a place in nature to balance the ecosystem. Even cockroaches are natural garbage disposal as they thrive on animal waste and dead plants/animals. Unfortunately humans are the worst beings in the world and that is exactly why this thought even crosses our minds even in a lighter vein. I am not shaming the OP, we all have these thoughts because as I said humans are evil and the worst species out there collectively speaking.

Lizards. Hate them to the core.Cannot stand them at all.
Back home in Punjab there always used to be one lurking around the walls and me just stressing around to find a way to get rid of it.

SSSSSSSSSnakes...........absolutely detest and hate them and equally scared of them.

It is weird because I do not remember being creeped out by them when I was younger. But as I grew older my fears grew incrementally. Now if I go to a zoo - I refuse to even go into the reptile section for this reason alone.

Cockroaches are vile things - cant stand them! For me that is my number one target for elimination.

They are one of the beautiful creatures in the universe for the fact that their survival is one of the greatest among all organisms.

mosquito doesn't depend upon blood for foods. This isn't their foods. Male mosquito even doesn't need blood. Females require for eggs.

I always encourage lizards as they take care of the cockroaches!

If I have to chose one then it will be mosquitoes. I prefer to sleep without a mosquito net on my bed, it's laborious and suffocating but there is no other option with mosquitoes having zero sense of humanity.

That's funny. What are the good deeds of good mosquitoes?

Also congratulations MenInG for initiating a good thread. Tired of country vs country, race vs race, player vs player.
