Ignoring Zimbabwe, and Granting Afghanistan and Ireland Test status - A good move by ICC?

Congrats to Afg and Ire fans on getting test status. Very good move by ICC to promote Cricket beyond 10 nations.

But I have a question, As we have seen Zimbabwe cricket team was a very competitive Test team in 90s. Now its on the verge of disappearing from international scene due to a very poor performances plus financial issues.
ICC is not helping them either. Just giving them funds is not solution. ICC should arrange Good coaches, training and other activities to sustain them.

I think before handing out test status to other nations, ICC should make Zimbabwe a competitive team. Otherwise you are adding 2 weaker test teams and removing one relatively good test team which can become a good test team if ICC help them.

Zim cricket has been destroyed by theft from the govt and elite. They have no love for the game and went in to steal and they got away with it. The ICC should take over the board by appointing Zim that care for the game and if that cant be done, stop funding the board.
