Pakistan all-rounder, Imad Wasim has signed for the Stars for KFC BBL|13.

Imad, who recently retired from international cricket will be available after Christmas for the remainder of the tournament.

Having played 121 T20 and ODI matches for Pakistan, Imad will bring a huge amount of experience as well as handy lower order batting to complement his left arm orthodox bowling.

"With Liam available for the first three matches, we identified Imad as a player who could come in and perform a role for us with his left arm spin and lengthen our batting lineup," said Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of Pakistan fans in the crowd at the MCG with Imad joining his former national teammates, Usama Mir and Haris Rauf."

The Stars have one domestic list spot remaining for BBL|13.

Good for Imad - hope he does well there.

The man is just living his dream now. Plenty of opportunities for him to earn great amount of money and that's what he was looking for in the first place.

If we think about it. He is getting paid and valued for his skills and ability. Nothing wrong with that.

Other players in his position would do the same after getting to his age.

PCB should be ashamed… to make international cricket so unappealing to cricketers that they retire early and become t20 league mercenaries.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he saw the undeserved becoming test captain and said “yeah.. that’s it, I can’t get into the team, but becomes next captain with his tailender average, I’m outta here. Allah Hafiz 👋 ✌🏼:kp

Mauja hi Mauja since he retired

Well-deserved.

Like I said before - he has the right to earn a living like everyone else.

The only issue is if he does not perform well. Market value goes down quick.

That’s up to him now to keep himself valuable

Imad Wasim is set to play his first match at the Big Bash League 2023 for Melbourne Stars against Sydney Sixers. Let see what he can bring to the team.

Imad Wasim's first outing was not very productive as he ended his spell of 4 overs and gave away 34 runs without any wickets against Sydney Sixers.

Imad Wasim makes history in T20 cricket! 👏🏽

Cricketers to hit 1000+ runs AND take 50+ wickets in a calendar year in T20s:

Kieron Pollard in 2010 ✅
Azhar Mahmood in 2012 ✅
Andre Russell in 2016 ✅
Imad Wasim in 2023 ✅

Imad Wasim's outing against Hobart Hurricanes in his 2nd match of this BBL went well. He took 1 wicket for 16 runs in 3 his overs.

Imad's performance with the bat fell short in the match against Melbourne Renegades, scoring 14 off 14 down the order. Unfortunately, he lost his wicket to Adam Zampa while playing for Melbourne Stars in the BBL 13.

Now, let's delve into his bowling display.

Well he should be worried about that as non-performances will dry out the money very quick.

Ask Azhar Ali - goodwill will only get you so far.

Naa tbh these guys have good financial advisors

Big money gigs give you a chance to invest in schemes/properties/businesses that continue to allow a flow of income.

So the money he makes now will make him more money in the future if invested properly.

Yes and I believe he is from a decently placed family also.

I mean, I do empathise with Imad. He was dropped due to doosti culture, when he clearly deserved a spot. So if that's the case why not just focus on franchise cricket and cash in those big cheques.

It's true that he could have played more FC cricket to attempt to force his way in. But even if he did, he would never have been picked in the national team. The Pak cricket team failed him, so he doesn't owe them anything.

Imad took 2/35 in 4 overs in his last match in BBL season 13. He claimed these figures against Hobart Hurricanes.

End of BBL 13 for the Stars.

What was the purpose of this international player? They could pick one of the streets and won't do much worse than this record.

Glad he retired. A truly mediocre player.

He just enjoyed the party in the field. He is not capable of performing on Aussie wickets.

his retirement from Pakistan Cricket is happily accepted now! :ROFLMAO:

People are blaming Imad for his innings against India and putting the blame of making his team loose. Just hilarious and childish .

He is a quality player no doubt. He has proved it many times around the world. These kinds of pitches in usa , even the best of the best will struggle to make runs on them. A string Indian team batting line up struggled on this same pitch. Imad has been coming back in the team after 2 years. What did Babar,Rizwan, Iftikhar,Fhakhar and trans Shadab were doing after getting the opportunity to play international cricket for the last few years on the trot . These crybaby people have certain agenda against Imad,Amir . I m a neutral thats why i can see the light and dark separately.

These personal agenda, liking , dislikings which are more important than the team Pakistan among these people inside PCB and Pakistani mass population are the sole reason of the downfall of Pakistan cricket.

People should get ready to see more and more downfall of Pakistan cricket in near future. I see no hope until radical and sustainable changes in the mindset.
