What an innings by the debutant. On such a track and against a difficult bowling attack. Yet this innings wont be appreciated by those who didnt watch the match in future arguments.

It doesn't matter they watch the game or not. People who loves to criticize will always criticize no matter what.

These days the new generation of fans have less understanding of the game.

True, great innings by the kid on debut. It doesn't matter whether the bowling was Ireland, Namibia or Australia. These are difficult conditions.

Great batting. This is his 3rd 50 on this tour. I hope he shows the same consistency in England.

PP experts said he was selected because he is Inzi nephew :)))

He can be a good test player. Keep him away from LO.

Apart from Rahat Ali Inzi selections all look justified. As for Rahat a lack of first class cricket could be the reason for his lack luster form. I believe Rahat is a mistake by Inzi but his selections are outstanding since he's been chief selector.

Babar
Imam
Faheem
Shadab
Abbas

These are awesome selections. Syed yahya hussaini must be crying after his twitter rants,,,🤣

match winning innings . hopefully we have found a settled opener

Imam certainly looks better than Shan Masood & Sami Aslam, lets hope he can replicate this performance against England where it matters more & will bring him much more applause & appreciation.

Guy has been getting a lot of hate on this forum, but has shown his mettle and saved Pakistan from a huge embarrassment.

What a inning that was he played very well with positive intent which was most impress thing.hopefully he do well against anderson who is nightmare for left handed batsmen

My expectation of him was that he will be limited because of the lack shots but so far he has been better than expected. I still have my doubts but at least he has stood up and been counted, and he looks a very determined young man.

Most impressive was the strike rate at which he scored those runs. That tells you a lot. The others like Sami, Shan, and Azhar are limited in their ability and it shows through the S/R at which they score their runs.

Keep it up! He has the genetics, and is used to dealing with the pressure of living under his uncle's shadow. Will be great for Pakistan if he can be even half the batsman his uncle was, but Insha'Allah he will be even better!

Classy batsman. Hopefully he will outclass his Inzamam's perfomance.
Keep it up!

Class knock and sad to see all the haters are nowhere to be seen.

Shows you the mentality of some of these 'fans'.

Said he looked a good prospect for tests and even more so when he debuted in the odis. His game looked in good order for a test match even then.
InshaAllah this is the start of something special

He'always been a good talent. Even in U19 days, there were times where he outperformed Sami and Babar.

Not surprised.

Happy for Imam.

Very good knock under pressure, spared Pakistan's blushes. Hopefully gives him the confidence to press on and have a successful tour.

Immense knock given the match situation and conditions. Particularly liked the way he took responsibility by showing intent, the quick singles, turning 2s into 3s was good to see.

He’s still young so it’s too early to get hyped but great signs.

But but but nepotism, but but but Inzi is corrupt. People making these allegations about the great man should leave Pakpassion for good if they have any shame.

Imam is a very good prospect and a great selection

People forget this when they cry nepotism. Sami aslam and Imam were raining down the runs as openers together in U19. His domestic performances might not be fantastic, but really was a matter of time before he got an international debut as he was so good in U19. Similar to Sami, Sami didn't get his test debut due to his domestic performance (he literally has the same stats in first class) it was because of U19.

Babar, Saad Ali, Imam and Sami are probably our young batting talent, and I think all four will probably become regulars in our team soon enough.

Amazing batting and he is giving Babar a good run for Pakistan's best young batsman. A fabolous century on ODI debut and 70 odd not out on his test debut in foreign conditions is nothing to scoff at. The guy is pure class. Hopefully he gets a ton against england. Best part is that he keeps on proving his haters wrong time and time again. Nepotism, pa**hi claims etc. will soon go away entirely from the media.
