Sharifs are involved in money laundering worth Rs1.74 billion through FZE Capital, Hill Metals and other companies in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan alleged in a press conference on Thursday.

"I want to congratulate my team who have made new revelations," said Khan, accompanied by former PTI general secretary Jahangir Tareen who was disqualified by the Supreme Court last year.

He disclosed that Nawaz Sharif sent approximately Rs800 million to his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who sent Rs25m back to him.

Around Rs240m were laundered through employees of the Sharif family and Punjab Police via the Hill Metals establishment.

"We are talking about the prime minister of this country who was doing this," he said. "Had this been a civilised nation, he would have been in jail rather than saying asking 'mujhe kyun nikala' (why was I thrown out)?"

Khan alleged that the family was involved in laundering money through a network of 16 companies, including FZE Capital and Hill Metals — the chairman of which is Hussain Nawaz Sharif.

He alleged that transactions through bank accounts of multiple people, who, he said, were drivers and other employees of Nawaz, employees of Sharif Medical City and constables of Punjab police, reveal that the companies were solely created for the purpose of money laundering.

"Money from an Iqbal Anjum who works in Saudi Arabia goes to Aurangzeb Akhtar, constable Punjab police, and Mohammad Iqbal, constable Punjab police."

Further, Rs180m were sent by Sharifs' driver Punnoo Khan to Asim Mehmood who worked at Sharif Educational Complex, Khan alleged. "Saleem, an employee at Jati Umra sends Rs50m again to Asim Mehmood."

Asim Mehmood further sent Rs240m to Nawaz Sharif's employees, Khan said. "It is obvious that this is not going to the drivers but going to the Sharif's themselves."

"How can they catch anyone else when they are themselves like this?" Khan asked.

He also said that this was just one company that he was talking about which was involved in laundering worth Rs1.74 billion.

He also said that Nawaz sent Rs20m to Chaudhry Sugar Mills through his own account which was revealed in the investigation by Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

Taking on the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, he said that Rs3.5bn credit arrives in Ramzan Sugar Mill — owned by Shahbaz — without any explanation.

All of this money had been acquired through corruption in Pakistan and sent abroad. "There cannot be a more open and shut case than this," Khan said, adding that all the details would be sent to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other organisations for further investigation.

He also criticised Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif for his stance in the National Assembly today, saying it was people like him and Nawaz who had destroyed the parliament.

"Give me a precedent of any assembly in the world which makes a law to favour a culprit who steals from the people and lies in the court.

"What you actually did was make a thief sit on Pakistan's coffers," he said.

"Parliament is the name of a building. It is the parliamentarians who take the parliament upwards or destroy it."

Khan also said that there can be "no bigger fraud" than Asif who was earning Rs1.6m a month while working as a legal consultant although he has only worked in banks before.

He also alleged that hundreds of thousands of dollars were going to the United States through Asif's wife.

"As a head of the party I have the right to tell the judiciary that you are taking too long to take action on the case although the man [Asif] is a security risk for the country."

Oh no, yet another ilzaam by ilzaam Khan :)

Unfortunately their supporters will not accept anything against their leader. And majority will ignore this as minor issue because "Kuch khatay hain tou lagaatay bhi hain". Others will just consider this as Establishment ki saazish or Yahoodi lobby conspiracy.

But those who go on vacation to Europe every year will have us believe that Shahbaz Sharif is the sane choice for PM

Great work by the Kaptaan. BTW did anyone else notice the GEO/ News did not cover any allegations made by IK againt MRS. The mafia cannot handle democracy, they just want a self perpetuating kleptocracy.

Imagine if we get two ot three men like him.phir tu baj jayegi in ki.

Too much attention against the Sharif's. Isn't it about time that IK focuses his attention on Asif Zardari now as well?

Zardari won't be in a position of power again, he's ensured it after destroying his own party outside Sindh.

The Sharifs will waste time trying to organise TOP's so everyone can go ''through parliament'', they will waste time for months first issuing a statement on TV, then saying something different in Parliament and then at the end when their lies are exposed they will as usual say ''prove it in court''. They will then be taken to court where the court will say let's make a JIT, Sharifs will celebrate on twitter and media citing how the court while not letting them off did not however call them guilty and will praise the virtues of such courts and will highlight again and again how the respected JIT members will find them not guilty but then the JIT will issue a report against them and Sharifs will cry conspiracy against JIT members and still try and cry that hey the court hasn't found us guilty.

But the court will find them guilty. A point to note that noone will cry consipracy when anything or any document is leaked. Noone will cry conspriacy when the court appoints certain individuals to investigate, noone will cry a conspiracy when the matter is taken to court. Infact the Sharif mantra has always been ''take us court''. But when the court finds them guiltyit will all be blamed on conspiracies.

Am I right?

100% right... if their daylight robbery is caught then it is conspiracy against them.

But PTI has welcomed Sheikh Rasheed to his party. Imran khan doesn’t have the sanity level of Shahbaz Sharif so this all evens out. Nothing is going to change anyways. Even if they convict future PM Sahib common will continue to be corrupt. We should all forget about this and vote for PMLN.

This admission by Maryam Nawaz is so cute

Imran has no understanding of father-daughter relationship: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, they daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, responded to the ‘explosive’ press conference by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in which he leveled further allegations against the former premier.

Maryam Nawaz continued with her usual slanderous diatribe on the micro-blogging site Twitter saying that the PTI chairman should be ashamed of himself and for being a father.

“Every father in the world loves their daughter, respect her and is proud of her. But what do shameless men like you know about the father-daughter relationship,” she said.

Imran Khan under mental stress

On the other hand, a spokesman for the Sharif family reacting to Imran Khan’s presser said the allegations were completely baseless and without any merit whatsoever.

The spokesman further said that Imran’s recent statement show that he was ‘mentally unstable’ and under severe stress. The spokesman scoffed at the allegations, and said that Imran Khan has reached the lowest ebb of disappointments.

The PTI chairman had alleged that apart from the revelations in the Panama Papers, the former prime minister set up a network of over sixteen companies to launder money abroad. He said the Sharif brothers had laundered over Rs1.74 billion through companies such as FZE Capital, Hills Metal and other foreign companies.

He claimed that Nawaz Sharif adopted various ways to transfer his money abroad, including over Rs800 million through his daughter Maryam Nawaz and around Rs240 million through employees of Punjab Police and their family members.

Imran Khan said the Sharifs set up the Hill Metal company in Saudi Arabia, through which money was laundered in Dubai and beyond, while Capital FZE was their flagship company.

The above is based on this emotional tweet by Maryam, i couldn't post her tweet as i am blocked by her highness.
