`Imran Khan`s health stable, but facing mental torture`, claims sister after jail meet [Update@post421]

Govt shuts door on talks with Imran Khan, considers transferring him from Adiala Jail

Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Affairs Ikhtiyar Wali Khan said the government has shut all avenues of dialogue with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, warning that authorities are now “seriously considering” shifting Imran Khan from Adiala Jail.

Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad, he accused PTI of pursuing a strategy designed to destabilise the country, saying the party was hiding behind protests to fuel unrest. He said a “clear line” had now been drawn between “love for Pakistan” and “love for Imran”, as he criticised the former ruling party for targeting state institutions.

He said PTI had attacked the same army that, in his words, had elevated Pakistan’s standing globally. “The PTI founder’s tweet is something that neither PTI can swallow nor spit out,” he remarked, adding that the party’s Peshawar rally had failed to draw crowds despite nationwide calls for participation.

He also accused PTI of exploiting religion for political purposes, alleging that PTI was “using its politics to fuel terrorism”, claiming there was “no difference between TTP and PTI” because of what he called repeated attacks on the army and the judiciary. He said PTI wanted a judiciary similar to the one that formed the Panama Bench.

Questioning the party’s governance record, he asked what projects PTI had initiated while in power, criticising it for failing to establish a single major hospital or university in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa over 13 years.

He said even PTI leaders were avoiding retweeting their founder’s post, arguing that the party had damaged the country repeatedly, citing the events of May 9 and November 26. He said PTI had been “introduced” in 2013 and “imposed” on the country in 2018.

Khan claimed that no one in K-P was willing to contest on the “bat” symbol. Responding to questions on governor’s rule, he said democratic forces did not favour such actions. “If we had wanted to impose governor’s rule, we would have done so after the November 26 incident,” he said.

He accused PTI of practising the “politics of dead bodies”, alleging the party sought unrest and violence while the government refrained from such tactics. Pointing to alleged foreign links, he claimed PTI’s social media accounts were being operated from India and Israel, and that Indian media was promoting the “false narrative” of the PTI founder’s sisters.

Reiterating that all negotiation channels with the PTI founder were now closed, he said a line had clearly been drawn between loyalty to the state and loyalty to an individual. He added that the government had not branded anyone a traitor nor sought to ban any party, saying, “My choice is Pakistan; Pakistan will always live on.”

He criticised PTI’s weekly protest strategy, saying residents of Rawalpindi and Adiala Road were being inconvenienced. “What kind of method is this, where you make life miserable every week for the people?” he asked. “Children trying to reach school or return home face severe difficulties.”

He said it appeared PTI was “insisting” on having 'Prisoner No 804' moved to another province. “The government has begun seriously considering this,” he said, “because we will take every necessary step to protect the public from disruptions to their lives.”

Gohar warns against ‘minus Imran’ move

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has warned against any move to remove PTI founder or party from the political arena, saying that such an attempt would trigger a complete collapse of the system and that the situation would not remain under anyone’s control.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Barrister Gohar said, “This is not the business world where you can minus one of two and keep the other. If one is removed, not a single one will remain.”

He said that meetings with Imran Khan were not being allowed, and anyone who attempted to meet him was subjected to water cannon attacks. “Water cannons were used against Khan’s sisters. Enough is enough. If they had stayed for two more hours, what harm would it have caused the country or the nation?” he asked.

What a pathetic bunch of losers. On the one hand, they spend their day on TV convincing losers that IK is irrelevant and has no support and on the other, they attack his supporters and his family. There is no Govt, its Munir and his danda that has illegally occupied PK to pay back their Zionist pay masters. There has hardly been any coverage in the West even though PK has gone from a fragile democracy in Apr 22 to a brutal dictatorship. No sanctions, no statements, just support.

It’s time to wake up from this delusion. Imran Khan doesn’t have the kind of real support you imagine, most of it exists only on social media. No country is backing him, not even people here in the UK. How many supporters do you actually see in real life? PTI has held multiple protests in the UK and barely anyone turns up. It’s mainly Pathans and a Mirpuris who follow him, and even the British-Mirpuris aren’t serious they only jump on the bandwagon during cricket matches or on 14th August on Wilmslow Road everyone gets excited and then thats it!!!!

80% is all lies wake up

Says he has zero affiliation with Pakistan and its so called Politics. Yet continues to defend crooks at all cost

You're confusing PTI supporters with boot polishers and those who bend over to Zardari and Nawaz, totalling only in the thousands who are all the same. PTI has hundrends of millions of supporters. If you think I have time to crop and edit this criminal woman's face, you're to obsessed lol. No woman should be attacked, not even her, she should be in jail instead.
Not its you lot who did it and you lot even defended it on this very forum. There's a whole thread on it. And now because its a pti women maulvi saab took out his janamaaz and tasbih

Well lets take the elections and give you a refresher - a banned party with no candidates and a leader in Jail won a 2/3rd majority. The candidates that won were also attacked and they were given symbols which no one expected the voters to find. Your thugs led by Munir won 17 seats although the PPP claim they only won 7.🤣🤣🤣

Now he’s in jail crying himself, while his supporters are crying outside Adiala Jail and the overseas ones on forums
Khan will win the long term game. His goal was to weaken the system and expose the generals. The generals have destroyed and eaten this country. In the long-term, because of Khan’s sacrifice we will be able to send generals back to barracks.

Feb 8, 2024 was the day when everything changed. We are now waiting for the collapse of the status quo mafia. Change is inevitable.

Imran khan is 73 and he will be coming out on 4 shoulders soon and then chapter will be closed.
And his followers are even more corrupt than nawaz sharif and zaradri put together.
And I dont see the Pakistani public accepting qassim and suliman as leaders

No point doing election PTI will lose again and you will cry dhandli again we don't want to go over your hissy fits again 🤣

Why do you pti followers only try to take cheap digs and then like each others posts? Are you all like 15 and just about to finish secondary school?

Im no PTI fan. I've no reason to be. Im trying to Comprehend your (whataboutery) position. On one hand your calling out imran, and defending crooks, on the other you say you have no affiliation with politics of Pakistan. This tells me either you or extended family back in Pakistan are hugh beneficiaries from the Corrupt Poodles.

To whom? Guys with 7 seats. IK is too big for the puppets and now they need guns. They banned him and his party and he won a 180 seats. This isnt a 100 years ago, this happened on the 8th February. Was you asleep that day? 🤣🤣🤣

Won’t happen. When Zia did that to Bhutto, he was the absolute leader, now if IK gets a death sentence, every politician in Pak will know it can come back to bite them some day because at the end of the day average Pakistani in 10-15 years from now will blame the govt not the army for hanging IK (if it hapoens) . Sharif bros and Zardari family are too smart: either continued imprisonment or some kind of deal to get him in house arrest or out of country to close it out. That’s my assessment on logic but never say never.
Bhutto had 100x times the support of Imran does, still nothing happened. He was a political phenomenon. I dont think the entire SC has seen anyone that could get connect with the masses like him.

Not at all. At no point did he or would he have swept elections like IK did. He's once in a generation leader and we have squandered him behind bars.

This is the issue with IK critics. There is nothing wrong with not aligning with PTI, but none of them come out openly and support one of the other parties either. So who is it they think should be leading Pakistan? Nobody? The army? If it's the army, do they endorse puppet govts?

Their narrative makes sense. Atleast they are consistent with what they believe in.

You on the other hand is all over the place.

1. You bash Pti supporters for bashing the corrupt establishment and their poodles which is based on valid reasons.

2. You defend the Crooks at all costs, never single them out for criticism which I find odd as you state you have no affiliation with Pakistan politics.

You need to clarify your Position. Otherwise you are completely contradicting yourself and looking pretty foolish. Hence no one is taking you seriously.

As per form your posts are embarrassing and rubbish. Unless you were asleep all the elections were stolen in real time.

So you need evidence of what exactly? Do you need evidence of IKs banning, PTI banning, the Symbol being taken and the PTI candidates having left field symbols. Do you need evidence of Commissionler Chatta going missing after his truth moment. Be a good boy and find out what happened to him? Would lile to see the form 45s that the Ros issued? Well we can show. We have them and they were presented. The law said that all the appeals had to be heard within 90 days. Be a good boy and go and look at what happened to the appeals. You may also look at the reports of the Commonwealth observers.
Stop being an idiot. The PPP let the cat out of the bag with the 7 seats for the FM and the Nooras.

you are obviously going to find them rubbish because they don't fit your anti state narratives

PTI shouldn't have been allowed to participate in the elections anyway the founder was in jail for corruption
you should be thankful to Pakistan for allowing migrants from Afghanistan to participate in elections

You should ignore him. He can't be helped.
I don't need your help, you and your fellow PTI extremists and terrorists have been trying to convert me to PTI for the past 1 year but its not happened about time you all give up now

if someone has a different opinion on an online forum in a civilised world you would normally move on but I can understand
most of you have to quote my every post and tag me in every PTI post and try to convert me to PTI

hope that answers your previous question you had too

What kind of idiotic statement is that. If you had a case, lets see the evidence. Each case falls apart at the appeal stage. Quite literally the Prosecuters and the Judges shat the bed. What does that tell even a gormless idiot like?
PK belongs to its people, not to criminals like NS, Muneera and AZ.

SO UN is also working for PTI agenda now?? SOme people might repeat that UN is an agent of PTI... Bla bal...

Pakistan: Imran Khan’s solitary confinement and inhumane detention conditions must end, UN expert says

The UN Special Rapporteur on torture, Alice Jill Edwards, today urged the Government of Pakistan to take immediate and effective action to address reports of inhumane and undignified detention conditions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, warning that they could amount to torture and other inhuman or degrading treatment.

“I call on Pakistani authorities to ensure that Khan’s conditions of detention fully comply with international norms and standards,” Edwards said.

“Since his transfer to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on 26 September 2023, Imran Khan has reportedly been held for excessive periods in solitary confinement, confined for 23 hours a day in his cell, and with highly restricted access to the outside world,” she said. “His cell is reportedly under constant camera surveillance.”

The Special Rapporteur stressed that prolonged or indefinite solitary confinement is prohibited under international human rights law – and when it extends longer than 15 days, it constitutes a form of psychological torture.

“Khan’s solitary confinement should be lifted without delay. Not only is it an unlawful measure, extended isolation can bring about very harmful consequences for his physical and mental health,” she said.

According to information received, Khan is not permitted outdoor activity or interaction with other detainees and is unable to join communal prayers. Visits from lawyers, family members and others authorised by the courts are frequently interrupted or ended prematurely.

Imran Khan is held in a small cell that lacks natural light and adequate ventilation. Temperatures reportedly become extreme in both winter and summer, and poor air circulation leads to foul odours and insect infestations. As a result, he has reportedly suffered nausea, vomiting, and noticeable weight loss.

“Anyone deprived of liberty must be treated with humanity and dignity,” the expert said. “Detention conditions must reflect the individual’s age and health situation, including appropriate sleeping arrangements, climatic protection, adequate space, lighting, heating, and ventilation.”

Imran Khan, aged 72, has a history of significant health issues, including a serious spinal injury from a 2013 accident and gunshot wounds from a 2022 assassination attempt.

“Khan has reportedly been denied adequate medical attention,” Edwards said. “I urge the authorities to allow a visit by his personal physicians.”

The Special Rapporteur has raised Imran Khan’s situation with the Government of Pakistan and will continue to follow developments.
