Brilliant, brilliant play from the South Africans... Ravi Shastri was predicting something around 300 (arrogantly), and even with 4 overs left to go they said only 350 might have been possible. De Villiers was magnificent, and Kallis showed why only Tendulkar and maybe Gambhir currently surpass him in world cricket. Brilliant innings from both of them, Kallis' innings was a technical masterpiece, the kind of innings that textbooks are written about. Superb from Kallis, his rotation of the strike was brilliant, and at the end, when De Villiers was wary of not reaching his hundred, Kallis calmed him down, shepherded him, showed him how to reach your hundred in style, and then gave De Villiers a whole over to do it in. Wonderful innings from Kallis, ironically the only ball he didnt play a technical shot to was the last ball of the innings... What a player.
Amla played brilliantly too, held the innings together whilst Kallis was getting started and Bosman was raging. He could progress into SA's Yousuf, his wicket was just a mix of inexperience and adrenaline rush today.
