India (182/5) defeat Bangladesh (122/9) by 60 runs in a ICC T20 World Cup 2024 warm up match

The pitch is a bit tricky. Pakistan will need to get used to it on the get go against India. They won't get much time there

Pak fans will be happy with this wkt. Ball gonna stick in it will be good for Shaheen and Amir bowling

Timing is very hard on this wicket. People who are late on timing on other wickets will find it easy to time.

No one is crying about conditions or ground. We are talking about the form of players and their capabilities.

The only crying post in this discussion was from a Padosi who was saying that India plays practice match in NY and plays Pakistan in NY. Always a conspiracy.
Lol don't take everything so serious.

India is getting the favorable treatment though but none of it is gonna matter on 9 June.

India will beat Pakistan. India is better than them as Pakistan team is a mess right now.

Cries about India getting favourable treatment and then says Indian fans are crying.

Chahal, Siraj, Axar are a total waste of space. Rohit does not deserve a spot either.
We don't have any good 3rd seamer .At max, we can have Mohsin khan.Bcci never thought about the next line of fast bowlers.

I don't think so.pak batsmen will struggle against spin and slow bowlers.Fast bowlers have to bowl off cutters.Naseem or Rauf are going to struggle there

Problem will be ground. You cannot hit fours easily here. Ball travels very slowly on the turf.

Lol here comes another middle aged soldier to the rescue. Hahahah

Icc literally changed the location for India why you soldiers have to defend every wrongdoing of india. LOL

Here comes another wet lettuce crying about all things India. Just looking for pre-emptive excuses for what you think is going to be an inevitable thrashing for PAK at the hands of India .

Which venue was changed anyway ?

Regardless of the pitch, ground conditions won't change. It is not lightning fast you see in proper cricket venues.

RUn scoring is very difficult here on this tacky pitch. Glad there won't be second round matches here.

Bangladesh struggling at 46/5 after 10 overs. Target is 183 but it looks like they would struggle to reach even 83.

Good recovery from BD. But no pressure to chase. They are getting good batting practice.

That was a peach by Arshdeep to get rid of Litton - BD's most impactful batter.
Liton is BD's most impactful batter? Despite so many years of test status, is this all BD can come up with?
They might as well stop playing cricket and find work in T-shirt factories in Dhaka if true.

Number 6 is too low for Shakib. Always felt like he has that complete batter potential. Just needs to apply himself more. He should come at no. 3 or 4 and take responsibility.

I think we now know how India plan to lineup against Ireland.

Ireland have no lefties in their batting lineup except Dockrell. And they have 3 slow bowling options (Delany, White and Dockrell) who bowl legspin or left arm spin of whom they'll try to get 4-5 overs of spin.

Thus India will likely play all three of Dube, Axar and Jadeja in the lower middle order. Bumrah and Arshdeep will lineup as the specialist pacers alongside Kuldeep.

Rohit (firestarter)
Kohli (bat through)
Rishabh Pant
SKY
Dube
Hardik
Axar
Jadeja
Kuldeep
Bumrah
Arshdeep

India defeat Bangladesh by 60 runs in the Dallas Warm up encounter

Rishabh Pant and Arshdeep Singh put on impressive shows to help India thump Bangladesh by 60 runs in their T20 World Cup fixture against Bangladesh in New York. Chasing 183, Bangladesh were restricted to 120/9 in 20 overs with Arshdeep and Shivam Dube claiming two wickets each. Earlier, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya put on an impressive display of power-hitting to help India post 182/5 against Bangladesh. Pant smashed 53 off just 32 balls before retiring, while Hardik hit an unbeaten 40 to playdown the talks surrounding his form.

Him and Shakib. Rest bat too slow vs. the top sides. Hridoy has potential and plays pace well but is weak against spin

White may not start for Ireland . But yeah this looks like the kind of shallow batting lineup that India will go for.

Maybe because it is hard to be that good in a second language..... Commentry requires free thought progression and it is hard in second language.
Language part I understand and I’m fine with the voice/accent of so many (Harsha, Shastri, Ganguly, to name a few ) it’s the content I M talking about. Why can’t we have more insights instead of the cliches.

I was also talking about the same, when you talk in your native language, the progression of thoughts and flow of ideas is smooth and natural, but when you do that in a second language, then you need to be a really student of game and above par in intelligence to actually pull it off.

When will Bangladesh improve, they have got a decent numbers in terms of population to produce best players, their players earn good enough as their board is well off, yet there hasnt been much improvement for 3 decades now.

War Torn Afghanistan with even a fraction of resources and facilities compared to BD has show more improvement in just a few years..

It is a bit difficult. In India to get commentary gigs you have to be somewhat of performance artist.

Shastri, Gavaskar, Bhogle are all educated and well spoken and all have some defining feature - hypeman, curmudgeonly chachaji, intellectual (pseudo). They have milked these personas for many years so that others can't move in on them.

People like Sidhu and Aakash Chopra are also well spoken and good technical analysts but they have built their commentary persona (especially in Hindi) around delivering exaggerated zingers. They are catering to YouTube shorts and desi audiences.

The only other good commentator India produced in last 20 yrs is DK and he also found his recognition with SKY sports only. In India he would have been just support role for these established big comms like how Arun Lal, Laxman sivaramakrishnan used to do and now Deep DasGupta, Murali Kartik do.

It was a good victory for India overall. Got some practice time in those conditions. Hardik looked good and what an inning Pant has played. Looked like he never left.
