India (187/4) beat Australia (186/7) by 6 wickets in the 3rd T20I at Hyderabad

Pandya cool and calculated at the end.

Showing his experience at key times once again.

Batting lineup looks good. No need to bring in Pant now. Also need to sort out the bowling line up. Harshal, Bhuvi, Chahal :facepalm :inti

This was truly a 360-degree master class from SKY. He literally toyed with them. Hit to every part of the ground with absolute control

Yes. That was a brutal inning from him. Looking forward to him in Australia. At least there is one exciting batsman in this line up after Rohit. Kohli is more like an accumulator. Rest are just fine. :inti

the struggle to balance s/r and avg for rohit. would like to have a few more runs from him.
live by the pull, die by the pull. no complaints about attempting the pull shot though.

India defeated Australia by 6 wickets in the third and deciding T20I in Hyderabad.

Virat Kohli scored 63 while Suryakumar Yadav hit 69 as India chased down a 187-run target on the penultimate ball of the game.

India were tottering at 30 for 2 at one stage but the Kohli-Suryakumar duo added 104 runs for the third wicket to keep India in the hunt.

After the wicket of Suryakumar, Kohli took the charge but he also fell in the last over before Hardik Pandya could give the finishing touch.

Earlier, Tim David played a 54-run knock and Cameron Green smashed a 21-ball 52 as Australia posted 186 for 7 in 20 overs.

Axar Patel once again starred with the ball picking 3 for 33 in his four overs. India had won the toss and opted to field in the series decider.

sky, vk, axar performing well.
bhuvi losing form of late. he shouldn't go to the conditioning camp, instead should play the SA t20 series.

It seems absurd but if Ishant is fit to do 4 overs, it would be nice

Who are other options??

India lose 50% as soon as I see Bhuvi, Harshal, Chahal combo on the list

Shami is on the stand-by. I think I would rather have Umran than Harshal.

Arshdeep
Bumrah
Umran
Pandya
Axar
Bishnoi

Yeah, Pandya was indeed lucky. We were lucky that we won the game despite him being at the crease.

His strike rate in MO is wellnunder 120 recent times.. Teams have found a way to keep him quiet. He should come after DK in situations like this. India needed under 9 when he came.

Replace with Arshdeep, Jaddu and Bishnoi. Batting will also improve with Jaddu coming down the order. Not to forget Fielding will also improve.

Kohli has played a meaningful and impactful innings against a top side in a T20 after a long time. Good signs for the T20 WC.

SKY doesn't score vs good bowling attacks.

SKY is overrated.

SKY is an IPL bully.

LOLOLOLOOOOL!

:inti

He is a very high impact player. When he comes off you know he can win you a game singlehandedly. Pretty unselfish too.

There is no point playing so many bowlers in XI, the ones who can't even hold bat properly.

Chahal, Bumrah, Harshal, Bhuvi, Rahul are the ones come to mind instantly.

Rahul is not a bowler, he's specialist catch dropper (Kohli used to be like this, now he's in dome kind of form, but i believe he'll play yuvi like innings coming WC, a match losing one)..

sky, vk, axar performing well.
bhuvi losing form of late. he shouldn't go to the conditioning camp, instead should play the SA t20 series.

He shouldn't Bowl in death.. he should bowl 2-3 overs in powerplay and complete his quote inside 14th over..

So basically win toss and bowl and you win majority of the time.

What a joke T20 is.... Rubbish format..

India beat Australia in a thrilling run chase in Hyderabad in the decider on Sunday to complete a 2-1 series victory.

India maintained their excellent recent record in run chases in T20Is with a win over Australia in Hyderabad in the third and final T20I. Chasing 187 to win, India completed the run chase with one ball to spare to make it 13 successful run chases in the format in 14 attempts since 2021.

The series victory also marked India's 21st T20I win in the calendar year, the most ever recorded by a team in men's T20Is. Pakistan had held the record until now with 20 T20I wins in the year 2021.

India drew level with the Thailand women's team, which recorded 21 victories and four losses in 2019.

The run chase turned out to be a stiff one for India after they were reduced to 30/2. A century partnership between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav put India back on track, but with the latter dismissed in the 14th over, the task turned out to be harder.

With 11 to win off the last over from Daniel Sams, Virat Kohli, who finished on 63 off 48 balls, hit a six off the first ball to make it five runs required off five balls. However, Kohli was dismissed the next ball with the equation further reduced to four runs needed from two balls.

An edge for four through third man off Hardik Pandya's bat gave India the record-equalling win and a series victory.

Just watched the highlights and ahh man it was so good to see Kohli bat like himself again..those sixes over cover. The King is back hopefully.

SKY is just something else. The only thing is that you can't have an approach like his and do it consistently game after game. He's bound to be someone who'll have good days and bad days.
The only player I've seen do it consistently was ABD. And I don't think we will see another ever.

Best Indian XI :-

Rohit
KL/Pant :inti
Kohli
SKY
Pandya(#5 seems right position for him)
DK(wkt)
Axar
D Chahar/Bhuvi
Bumrah
Arshdeep
Chahal /Bishnoi

If India get right conditions, they will destroy any team in the world and we saw that last day as well. What a series win this for India, no flukes, genuine winners!

They just need to find a way to include Rishabh Pant in it because at its best, Pant can be a bigger match winner than anyone else in this team.:inti

Yeah, that's why I said we won despite him not because of him.

Yeah, I know he isn't a bowler. But he can't seem to hold the bat properly either. Its been ages since he last played a meaningful knock.

Don't know how long we'll have to keep watching K.L. Rahul in the T20 team. The guy is akin to a white elephant.

Chahal, kl and bhuvi - please drop them
They are not consistent and we have better replacements

Well played Sky and Kohli, good win

Don't know how long we'll have to keep watching K.L. Rahul in the T20 team. The guy is akin to a white elephant.
Its not that he wasn't like this before his injury. Even then he was mostly scoring selfish runs.

Rahul is as soft as a snowflake. We won't progress in any format till the time he is in team in any format.

On top of that, he can't catch and bowl. What's his use then?

Paddikal is slow, worse than Dhawan.

Ruturaj maybe but he also starts slowly.

Pant should open with Rohit in my opinion.

Pant also good option for opening.
Upcoming WC will be the last chance for KL, hope he will perform and silence critics :inti

Rohit
Pant(wkt)
Kohli
SKY
Pandya
DK
Axar
D Chahar
Arshdeep
Bumrah
Chahal

Others :-

KL Rahul
Bhuvi
Samson(wkt)
Bishnoi

This would have been a better 15 man squad for WT20. :inti

The bowling attack , specifically the 2nd-3rd seamer would be the main concern if I was an Indian fan. Spin attack is excellent with Chahal and Axar and Bumrah is an ace but he needs backup.

Bhuvi has been up and down, Chahar and Arshdeep are yet unproven at the international stage . Hardik has stepped up as a bowler but can he play that role reliably game after game.

Axar and Pandya can do the job that is required of them with the bowl. Problem is can our four main bowlers do the job that is assigned specifically to them? Bumrah, Bhuvi, Arshdeep and Chahal are those. Think Harshal has done enough to remain behind these four names.

In batting, Rahul's position is the only concern.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has backed his pacers to find their bowling form again, despite some expensive spells in recent times.

The India captain has come out in defence of Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who have struggled for rhythm and consistent performances in the past couple of series.

Harshal recently returned from an injury but went for runs in his comeback series against Australia. In the three-match T20I series, Harshal registered figures of 0/49, 0/32 and 1/18 in Mohali, Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.

Rohit though is backing Patel to find his groove soon after a prolonged absence from injury. Speaking at the post-match conference in Hyderabad after India's 2-1 series victory, the Indian skipper said, "Coming back from an injury is never easy. He missed cricket for close to two months.

"Whenever bowlers go through an injury phase and come back, it's never easy, so we've not really judged him on how he has performed in these three games because we know his quality."

Rohit also backed Harshal's prowess in the tricky overs to shine through, adding, "He has bowled some tough overs for us in the past, and also for his franchise. We believe in his quality, whatever he has as a bowler. It's important to keep showing that faith and I'm pretty sure he's also trying to rectify those mistakes."

Apart from Harshal, experienced campaigner Bhuvneshwar Kumar has also looked far from his best. He was out of sorts in the Asia Cup, despite a five-wicket haul against Afghanistan and his struggles have continued in the home series against Australia.

Bhuvneshwar has especially struggled in the death overs, with figures of 0/52 and 1/39 in the two matches he played against Australia.

Rohit acknowledged Bhuvneshwar's recent wayward form but stressed that it was important to give him some space. "It's important we give him that space. Because when you have a guy like him in the team and the quality that he brings, we know that he's had more good days than bad days honestly speaking, in the last so many years we've seen.

"Yes, of late it's been not the kind of performance that he would want, but that can happen to any of the bowlers."

Rohit also added that the team management was working alongside Bhuvneshwar to improve his performances in the slog overs. He added, "From our side we're trying to work out what other things we can do. Because when you're bowling in the death you can't be predictable, you need to have options to bowl on both sides of the ground and sort fields accordingly."

Rohit concluded though that with Bhuvneshwar's experience, it was only a matter of time before he came good. "Someone with that experience, it'll be easy for him to grasp all the knowledge that is out there."

After the 2-1 series victory against Australia, India will now turn their attention towards a three-match T20I series against South Africa. The series will be played between 28 September and 4 October and will be of vital importance to both sides as a preparation for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. The two sides will also compete in a three-match ODI series.
