Holy moly, it's not even close. Reminds me of prime Djokovic against all his rivals. IPL works, Bharat owes a lot to Lalit Modi.

India's T20 record reflects the kind of world domination people compare (with past ATG WI & Aus Sides). They slightly falter in other 2 formats because of not employing ruthless selection policies and sticking on to branded-cricketers for too long (past WI & Aus Sides were not doing it). In T20, Sachin set a good example by not continuing to play it (international T20) and announced that it is a format for youngsters. So India usally selects their best team in this format (Look at their record against Australia - almost twice wins vs losses! Australia is the most stable and competitive cricketing/sporting nation, so to have that kind of domination against them is something to be proud of!)

thanks for posting these stats....
Looking at it ....did'nt realize we have lost 3/10 to Zimb
which means we lost roughly 25 percent of our matches to Zim
which also means we try out a lot of new guys vs them
- not a bad strategy.
Vs NZ - pretty much even stevens!- and also Eng prove tough for us over the years.

- have we never lost to afg before in t20? - i was sure they pinched a game here and there.
- Vs Bangladesh - again i was sure our record would be a lot worse than 16/1

Pretty much standard fare vs other teams.

Vs Oman - my starting XI
Tilak/Jittesh
Abhi
SKY
Shivam
Jitesh/Tilak
Rinku
Akshar
Harshith
Arshdeep
Kulli
Varun

Arshi and Rana for the opening burst and death ov. Should get Shivam to bowl a few, so should Abhi and Rinku.

12 ov of spin to the Spin trio should get us across Oman.

In this way, all the reserves are tested and in readiness for the more harder matches in group/semis etc.

India also started sending two teams to two different locations 4 or 5 years back. Almost all teams used T20 toe xperiment thing except teams without bench strength.

overconfidence often leads to humiliation. We still put a fight back par kabi 10 wikto se nai harty :D
i have full confidence on my team but seem like Pakistan fans are still stuck in 2021.

Wake-up bro wake-up . We have already won back to back ICC trophy since than while Pakistan almost becomes minnow team in all formats.

:kp

bang bro- India won World Cup in 1983, world championship of cricket in 1985, CT in 2002, multiple Asia cups, had won home and away test series in England, Nzl, WI, Pak , SL before 2007. Was borderline unbeatable at home. Waugh called it the final frontier.

Instead of copy-pasting cricinfo try looking up stats. If you don’t know how to and it is embarrassing let me know privately will show you.

Hello Moderator, so you want posts like this to appear on the forum to increase quality but a response with facts get deleted. Ok. How do you want me to deal with this thing now? Let me know, have a lovely response waiting for this item but waiting to see if this post remains out of respect to your “cleanup” work 👍

Oman should try to get some local players. All of their players are foreign. Captain is an Indian.

ICC should make a rule. Team must have 4 locally born players. It should be a required quota. Otherwise, what's the point?

I remember the UAE captain Sultan Zarwani who got hit by Alan Donald bouncer. There would be atleast 2-3 local origin players from what I remember: they were not good but made up the numbers back then. Wonder how come these teams don’t have a single local player now.

Harshit and Arshdeep. Interesting choice. But i like it.
I kind of wanted this too before the start. I feel we need an extra seamer against Pak. Especially Arshdeep. Not confident on Nitish, he is similar style to Pakistani bowlers so they might play him well. Arshdeep can run through this Pakistan team early on.

I think football is more popular there even though they were never qualified

Arshdeep gets naturall bounce. Ball just zips through at chest height.

Outside of subcontinent, cricket is not the popular sport anywhere. However I think some royal family/ hire ups in some of these countries do have a keen interest in the game. Surprising to see not even 2-3 local players.

As usual poor crowd. They just hide empty stadium when they do coverage
People thought I was being snarky but it’s a total fact- this is a charity tournament from BCCI to make some money for the Asian boards. They get their votes for status quo in ICC meetings and the boards make good enough money to last them for a while to run their day to day operations.

I man ICC barely has aukaat before BcCI, what the hell is ACC lol.

This is why you will never see designated officials etc abuse BCCI including Pak (even they tone it down a bit). However it’s only the illeterate fans who have toxicity towards BCCI. That comes with having mediocre teams too.

Gill for you we have change our entire combination yet you played tuk tuk cricket.

Jaiswal is out because of you.

:kp

Oman have made a good start. Should play with confidence...they have nothing to lose. At worst they will get thrashed badly which everyone expects anyway

How is Gill in this team over Jaiswal and Iyer?
He is earmarked for captain in all 3 formats.

We don’t have the culture to have different captains. Already next in line for odi captaincy by next World Cup. Sky is also on wrong side of 30s so he will be in the side as captain option in t20s also.

Oman's Faisal bowls better than 80% of the IPL bowlers. :inti

No wonder why India is struggling against him.

IND - 6/1 (2 overs).
