Good to see us sticking to Shorter length. Against Asian teams Hard length is the way to go in t20

Things can get interesting then. It should come down to NRR.

For India to get eliminated, Hong Kong have to win by a good margin today and Pakistan have to beat Hong Kong by a small margin.

One thing I love about Avesh is he is extremely consistent.
Be it minnows or big teams he will remain trash.
 
Toss is so crucial in dubai.
The indian pacers look so pedestrian with the ball now coming on better to the bat.
 
India has enough pacers to be at the top of tests since years.
Babar azam on the other hand should learn how to play shots from Babar Hayat
 
Hong Kong is batting well but I expect them to lose by 40+ runs. Target is too high for an associate team.

India can pick and chose pacers. Someone bowling 135ks isn’t automatically a bad fast bowler.

For example Abbas bowling at 100ks has won more tests for Pakistan and looks their best bowler lol
In tests because he maintains the speeds through and doesn’t huff and puff in 2nd spells.
 
As I said this match would have been an embarrassment if not for Sky.
Rubbish Khan and KL should never play again in this tournament.

Pakistan would pick below pace attack if they had Indian resources :-

Saini
Umran
Kuldeep ( RR pacer)

And they would have continued getting smashed but be happy because of producing 145 kph pacers.

Obviously If you have seen Mohd Amir he would bowl at 128 kph by second spell compared to Bumrah or Shami or Siraj who bowl with intensity through the game.

Teams like HK always run out of steam midway into a match. Easy win for PAK with their fiery pace attack
HK shouldn’t be making more than 80 given how strong Pk attack is IMO
 
Babar Hayat has settled down and his SR is dipping. Playing steadily now like other Babar.
Need more hits now HK
 
No dew and ball is holding even in the second innings for the spinners this time around. Good to see.
 
Hardik pandya is indias best pacer and crucial for the worldcup. The rest of the attack is very meh.
Bumrah will be a good adition.

Having said that, Ind have always struggled to dominate minnows. They just about win in most matches.
 
Love Gambhir but what an awful commentator.
Gambhir, Agarkar, Ajay jadeja etc are good as analysts. Not as play by play or color commies

He never dominated anything.
Very mediocre IPL record. One good season
Was selected on basis of his ability to bow hard length which is extremely imp in Australia. However has looked completely poor.

Assuming you never look at any IPL results or numbers ever, He was good in IPL 2021. Since then has been average even in this years IPL and internationals. However he did have good A team stints in the past. On current form he doesn’t deserve to be in the side but he has got here on merit.
 
One thing with Rohit is when he backs someone he gives them plenty of games.
Kishan, Avesh are examples. I

You need 3 seamers vs Pakistan. Even in 2011 wc that was the strategy. They play spin well in LOIs. In tests it’s a different story. Obviously depending on how confident we are on Pandya bowling full 4 overs.

For Asia cup we can manage with HP as the third seamer.
Come world cup we are gonna need 5 bowlers + HP
 
Avesh Khan will grow to be a better bowler. Gives me the Siraj vibes who took a while to come into his own. Has all the tools. Right now he is rubbish because he is too raw
