What's new

India (223/2) defeat England (188/8) to win 5th T20I by 36 runs; Win series 3-2

If India make less than 220, they'd be disappointed.

Very disappointing for England.

Just as I say that, a wonderful combo catch by Jordan and Bairstow (I think?)!

EDIT: My mistake, it was Roy. Roy just standing there admiring and laughing at Jordan haha.

Everything SKY does is outlandish..even the way he gets out

Kohli playing very good innings here, so dependable. You can expect him to score a 50 every game. Not explosive but dependable.

This was an unnecessary experiment by Virat . The guy never let's anyone one settle in a batting lineup.

Most runs as captain in T20Is
1464 VIRAT KOHLI
1462 Aaron Finch
1383 Kane Williamson
1321 Eoin Morgan
1273 Faf du Plessis

hear hear.. not many people will like that..

I don't think any objective person can deny role of IPL in player development. IPL is to white ball cricket now what County Cricket was to Test cricket back in the day as far as being a finishing school for young talent.

Quite a few of our test players owe their success in test cricket to IPL.

It is true with one more twist. It has taught fearless cricket to young Indian players and made them more aware of the method required to succeed, with access to money to hire personal trainers in off season.
That has had some impact in Test Match performances as well.. Very little.. but it has. Bhaag Viru Bhaag bhai your thoughts.

With Kohli opening (stop gap arrangement due to injury to Ishan) and Pandya tried up the order, innovative approaches by India. so far it is paying good dividend.
India has not only shown good intent to play attacking cricket but have also made space for one extra bowler.

I think he gets irritated by our premier players prioritising IPL over international cricket.

Won't mind KL Rahul as a keeper batsman in this team. This is not Pants strongest format anyway. :inti

Fine 50 by Kohli expect fireworks now. Pandaya playing scrappy and getting lucky so far.

IPL is on par with WT20.

Suryakumar Yadav over last two matches has looked a level superior to the rest with the kind of shots he has in his arsenal.

Suryakumar was always a good dasher , I do not know how KKR could let him go.

Think India's bowlers will do a better job of varying pace on this surface, and while chasing has been advantageous there's the pressure of a decider.

Big test of England's death bowlers here.
