So he was sent as a pinch hitter to hit out and he tried and got out without wasting balls and you are railimg on him for that? Last innings when it was required he played at strike rate of 150 on a difficult pitch

Blame the team management for giving him the role then, how is he tsling Indian cap causally by following team orders?

What is the source of team management confidence in Pant ? Why he is given so much chances even after sustained failure...he has failed to make an impact in white ball cricket for India.

Manish Pandey is the 2nd best Indian fielder after Jadeja! Love how easy he makes fielding look. I still remember that brilliant catch he took of Sarfaraz's in Asia cup at the boundary line.
 
Kuldeep is a class apart from Chahal. The former might be MOM if he picks another wicket today. Some ridiculous fans are suggesting chahal is better than Kuldeep. LOL

He has an average of 20 after 26 T20 games. Samson was dropped after just 1 T20 game. You won't see [MENTION=3327]Indiafan[/MENTION] giving his logical views on that. He is just a Pant f@nboy. Look at how he is blaming the team management who is actually showing confidence in Pant. :inti

The guy dismantled Australia in Sydney in his last test - he’s very special. It’s just that there’s too much competition for a spot in the Indian team.
 
2-45 one of a hopeless player and the other on a ball that should have been sent to mars and when he bowled to pollard he got shown his place nothing special as you indians make him out be chahal did better

pant should be banned from playing odi and t20 permanently. In tests he can play away. that's about it.

Excatly....Kohli was trying to shut up fans in second T20 so that he could give Pant all the confidence but when he is going to deliver?? 26 freaking T20 games for nothing. Give just 6 games to samson and see what he can do...atleast try...

That's the thing though no team barring maybe the Aussies mid 2000s team had great batting that extended all the way to 7/8. India is a top heavy team.and they have a few decent players middle/lower order.

Expecting all the batsmen to be outstanding and consistent is almost impossible, a luxury which not many teams have had.

In my view in T20, middle order , finishers are more important than top order. Top order can hog the strike and score at their own pace. Hit a six or 4 and finish with a fancy strike rate. Hardest job is done by finishers. If top order blows you need someone to do that.
 
It is possible though, isn't it? How often haven't we seen 3 quick wickets in first 5 overs? The problem is once Rohit, Virat and Rahul get out, there is absolutely no reliable batsman who cans core big and at a healthy SR. I am not convinced about Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Vijay Shankar, Hardik Pandya or Shivam Dube to play that role at the moment.
